Adulthood is accepting that the Legion is right.

Adulthood is realizing there isn't enough there to really judge right or wrong because the game isn't finished and you should read a book if you want to think about these things

I never finished New Vegas, always got bored and dropped it halfway. All the 3d Fallouts are shit.
That said, I have ascended to just using my God-given intuition and consulting the vibes of the universe directly to ascertain the truth. I can simply trust my gut, and that is all that is needed.

Honestly anon adulthood is knowing the NCR are prob more bastards than the devs allowed to show.
>legion is for edgelords and one plague away from losing more than half their population
>>
>>3885793
idk they got sharecroppers in a gulag that isn't even locked down, that's not level 100 evil but it's pretty shitty. Also evidence of the military brass and the government plotting against each other, for better or worse. What's next, other than actual slavery or vault-tec warcrime science? What makes you think NCR is anything besides the
>at least we're not THOSE assholes
faction?
>>
>>3880516
Easiest way to get free gear. Just backtrack to anyone that is an NPC and will fight back. Loot the Legion, get top gear for time they attacked. Literally got a lancer, or whatever it's called and never needed another melee weapon.
>>
>going full smg build
>reach the strip
>these guys start appearing
>now my entire build is worthless because anything with DT just ignores my shots
>can't even make good bullets with maxed out repair skill (whichever one had the crafting)
>turn game off never play it again

Maybe one of these days I'll just resign to the mandatory stealth, lock pick, sniper build just to see it through to the end, but eh. I don't like playing games that barely fucking work and look like shit.

Depends how want to read how that one ranger got injured by a legion child and then how the bittersprings massacre happened.
Then relize how you can genicide the BOS and do tit for tat on erradiating or nukeing the legion collateral be damn and the NCR gives you thumbs up.
>>
>>3885847
Ah, but you see, these events are known to us. Blud was all
>if only you knew how bad things really are
and you gotta ask, how much worse could it be?
Bittersprings was pretty tame as warcrimes go; that shit is happening irl right fucking now in a dozen places, if not a hundred.
Nuking the Legion isn't a warcrime at all, especially since they did it first.
But again, point is, NCR isn't nearly as twisted as their rivals, and only as evil as is practical.
>>
>>3885854
Well say my problem with the legion is they're more focus on their enemy not taking things too far when its obv the NCR would and prob gladly allow war crimes on em. Genociding the khans and BOS is one thing some higher up wants and they're pricks to the Enclave Remnants even when they fight with them
>>

>>

>So you agree with what the guy is talking about
No. I would suggest that you first read posts, and then comprehend what they say, and finally, only after reading and comprehending, should you post. If you cannot understand that, then please first lurk for ten years.
Kill an evil-doer if one must, but do not stoop to the level of evil-doing. "your enemy [is] so evil [that] any action against them is justified" was what I was responding to. Do not abandon your moral principles, because in doing so you lose the standing to claim that another is evil. It can be morally justified to kill. It is not morally justified to torture a torturer, or to rape a rapist, et cetera, et cetera. If you don't retain the high ground, then you have nothing.
>>
>>3885933
>I would suggest that you first read posts, and then comprehend what they say,
Yeah, because it's so fucking easy to catch out every one of (you)r posts on an anonymous imageboard.

>then please first lurk for ten years.
Wow, you were here this long and couldn't comprehend the above?

> It is not morally justified to torture a torturer, or to rape a rapist, et cetera, et cetera. If you don't retain the high ground, then you have nothing.
Jesus, one can only pretend to be this retarded, I refuse to believe otherwise.

Firstly, there is no moral high ground to contest - Legion was the agressor, NCR was the retaliator. NCR has the "high ground" and is justified in their responsive measures.

Secondly, you're equating sides with different moral principles as if they are equal in their methods. The
>It is not morally justified to torture a torturer, or to rape a rapist
Doesn't work when one side doesn't consistently operate on this principle and the other does.

Thirdly, you know full well what the guy was talking about judging by your
>Kill an evil-doer if one must
>It can be morally justified to kill
... but some fucking reason you strawman it into completely irrelevant position.
Any normal human that says
>so evil any action against them is justified
doesn't dogwhistle to things like rape, and only a retard would believe otherwise. You're not a retard anon, are you?

yeah, game has fuck all automatic weapons for mid game.

Could get the service rifle quest reward at the south outpost near the start of the game. Comes with 72 AP shots for when you need them. But you can't craft AP ammo so you have to buy it.

Could also try the Laser RCW, laser tommygun. You can craft AP ammo with it and it only requires 1 ingredient: the normal ammo, so it's easy to make.

playing as legion in terms of quests is pretty dreary. theres just barely anything there to do, most vendors and quest givers wont even talk to you/will try to kill you, most followers will leave you, etc
the thing that makes it fun and actually worth playing, imo, is if you lean rly hard into the disguise mechanic.

when NCR is aggro on you, a SHOCKING amount of the usually boring walking-and-doing-nothing areas become full-scale battles to get through. as such, youll have loads of NCR scrubs corpses to loot. so what i always do is start repairing disguises and weapons, then hiding them throughout the wastes in strategic places, either just to easily travel through hostile NCR turf, or to plan future terrorist attacks on the NCR.
its also the only playstyle ive ever done where i actually used the vegas sewers unironically. once you get to know your way around them, you can basically use the sewers to pop up damn near anywhere you want on the map. and you can get into the sewers from surprisingly far south down in the map, then traverse them straight through to north of north vegas.

rly cool way to play tho, since its so radically different from an NCR or an indie playthrough
just needed more quests, maybe a legion town east of the river and itd be fine, and maybe one more decent and ideally fully legion follower

the real problem is that if you aggro legion early say by killing vulpes in nipton, the actual lvl-scaling table is borked. so the lowest-lvl legion hit squads, like lvl 5-10, will run up to you with full centurion armor and fucking thermic lances and brush guns. its actually a real pain if youre going full NCR toadie and shooting all legionnaires on sight. cuz there will be about 4 or 5 lvls of you getting totally fucked to death by top-lvl legion squads. and at a time when youre probably still using 9mm, so have 0 way to actually handle them.
the odd part is, to my knowledge, the unofficial patch doesnt even fix this.
so yea, just wait a few lvls to aggro legion right at the beginning, and youll have a much smoother time

as for alternatives for a pure guns build, theres the 12.7mm SMG, which doesnt have AP rounds, but DOES hit like a fucking truck. if you do that boulder city quest and help jessup, the khans will give access to their armory, which will sell you all the 12.7mm youll ever need.
if you have honest hearts, just rush that and youll have .45 tommy guns showing up in the wastes. fantastic gun, esp with the grunt perk and the upgrades. +p rounds dont have much AP, but the gun makes up for it imo by just being very strong itself.
outside of strictly SMGs, theres also the LMG. if you can stealth/slaughter your way into the deathclaw den, its right there on the floor at the beginning of the game. 5.56mm AP means youll have zero issue dealing with heavy armor mobs.
another not-SMG worth looking into is the assault carbine. 5mm rounds come right out of the box with insane AP by themselves, and you can craft even better ones its like -25DT or something crazy
and if you wanna get rly outside of the box: nailgun. you can just go in and nab one from lonesome road, then leave. rips through armor. thats its whole thing. surprisingly fun weapon. just check in toolboxes once you get into the DLC area, youll find one

yea hes kinda just a puffed up slaver in a way.
hes just much much more successful than any other slavers we meet in the series. hes enslaved like an entire state and a half, and has them all ideologically captured by his whole son of mars mythos he built around himself.

>The religious arts of Attila were not less skilfully adapted to the character of his age and country. It was natural enough that the Scythians should adore, with peculiar devotion, the god of war; but as they were incapable of forming either an abstract idea or a corporeal representation, they worshipped their tutelar deity under the symbol of an iron cimeter. One of the shepherds of the Huns perceived that a heifer, who was grazing, had wounded herself in the foot, and curiously followed the track of the blood, he discovers the sword of Mars, till he discovered, among the long grass, the point of an ancient sword which he dug out of the ground, and presented to Attila. That magnanimous, or rather that artful, prince accepted, with pious gratitude, this celestial favour; and, as the rightful possessor of the sword of Mars, asserted his divine and indefeasible claim to the dominion of the earth. If the rites of Scythia were practised on this solemn occasion, a lofty altar, or rather pile of faggots, three hundred yards in length and in breadth, was raised in a spacious plain; and the sword of Mars was placed erect on the summit of this rustic altar, which was annually consecrated by the blood of sheep, horses, and of the hundredth captive. Whether human sacrifices formed any part of the worship of Attila, or whether he propitiated the god of war with the victims which he continually offered in the field of battle, the favourite of Mars soon acquired a sacred character, which rendered his conquests more easy and more permanent; and the barbarian princes confessed, in the language of devotion or flattery, that they could not presume to gaze, with a steady eye, on the divine majesty of the king of the Huns.

Legion play throughs are a break from making sure I didn't botch any quests from tripping faulty triggers before I even started. Instead I just wear Legion armor and machete/super sledge everyone that shoots at me.

Pretty fun and relaxing.
