First game to ever use the VTM setting and this is what came out kek
>>3886300there has yet to be a good VTM game
I was young when I played it and found it extremely tedious and I was annoyed by the love story. I hated it, yet finished it. forgot almost all of it by now.
>>3886304Bloodlines 1 was a quality game until Chinatown. Everything there and after is so undercooked that it fascinates me how it was allowed to release.
>>3886320>I was young when I played it>was annoyed by the love story. I hated itIt’s a game for adults who have experienced love and can relate and understand the story, much like PS:T is a game for adults who have experienced regret and loss and can relate and understand the story.
>>3886300I went through the whole game without feeding from vampires and I quit at the lasombra (i think) hideout where the pathfinding of the companions fucked itself and the stupid motherfuckers kept walking into the sun. also it reached a point where all my characters were so beaten up I couldn't progress further. I figured out at some point before I quit that you could mesmerize the vampires but I got so mad at the fact that if you missclick the and bloodfeed a companion, the characters give blood and die, instead of the character sucking life out of the mesmerized enemy.
>>3886358I went through the entire game as a max humanity knight who never fed once. Only drank those weird red health potions. Solo’d every level, left the companions at the start of every level. Great game.
>>3886300Say what you will, this game understood VtM much better than Bloodlines 2
>>3886300The story and music are great, but the gameplay could be a lot better, Christof can get quite a few non Brujah disciplines iirc. I feel like the multiplayer for this game was probably very enjoyable if you had friends who were into WoD, I saw some videos of people playing it before and it looked comfy.
>>3886345>much like PS:T is a game for adults who have experienced regret and loss and can relate and understand the story.I played PS:T when I was 12 and it was my favorite game ever, so I'd say you are full of shit.
>>3886405What a low IQ response. A 12 year old can drink his dad’s beer and enjoy it. Does that mean that beer is made for 12 year olds?
>>3886345>It’s a game for adults who have experienced lovelmao
first quest, go in a mine and kill rats
>>3886432>first quest, go in a mine and kill ratsYes.
If Diablo hadn't come out, this could've been a good RPG.
>>3886410Is the 12 year old's enjoyment of the beer any less than his father's?No because he has the same brain receptors as his father. You said that the game was made for people "who have experienced regret and loss and can relate and understand the story."Implying you need these things to enjoy the game. Especially since you responded to a person who hated VTM and your response was that he hadn't experienced "experienced love and can relate and understand the story"I had experience none of these things when I played PS:T and yet it was my favorite game ever.I played it again 30 years later after having experienced regret and loss A LOT in my life. And my enjoyment was just the same like when I was 12.You are full of shit and a faggot.
NAY! NAY!
>>3886450>You said that the game was made for people "who have experienced regret and loss and can relate and understand the story." Implying you need these things to enjoy the game.An adult will get more out of PS:T than a child will. I thought that was self-evident, and didn't need to be stated.>Especially since you responded to a person who hated VTM and your response was that he hadn't experienced "experienced love and can relate and understand the story"My post was clearly suggesting the possibility that he didn't like the game's story because he was too young to appreciate it when he played it.>I played it again 30 years later after having experienced regret and loss A LOT in my life.Did you get more out of it than you did as a child?>And my enjoyment was just the same like when I was 12.Oh. I'm sorry to hear that you have not grown or matured between age 12 and the present, anon.
To the Abyss with thee.
>>3886339>ImplyingIt begins falling apart in Hollywood.
>>3886397This isn't even lowering. You're just burying the bar now>>3886432This killed a lot of my willingness to humor the game. I remember playing a little further than that, but getting bored and never coming back to it.
>>3886377pretty much this, that's not good game design for a party based rpg though>>3886300the gameplay genuinely sucks, but everything else is really good so it's one of those rare exceptions I make to see the game through despite combat being awful.
>>3886300it's pretty good though
>>3886320>annoyed by the love story Sad to hear you don't get the best part of the game.
>>3886530>burying the barAs if that's not indicative of how fucked the IP is
>>3886733It's so disconnected from everything that made the first Bloodlines and I wouldn't even call it an RPG. I'd rather just pretend it doesn't exist and leave it out of every discussion if possible
