I am good, they most likely won't make mage separate career path (their reasoning is Marvin is not the chosen one and he cannot learn how to cast fireball under a day or something) and I already finished Guard, Merc and Independent paths

it is not a "full" path
basically in later chapters either the Mercenary or Guard boss will ask you to help the royal emissary
if you refuse then the faction leaders will kick you out, later on you get an offerc to join the same faction your brother was in, there are 2 unique quests depending which faction kicked you out previously, merc offers Nordmar armor he is wearing
there is also the joke ending where you focus only on the main quest and rescue your brother before leaving the shitty island
