Pillars of Eternity is a tactics game that is a CRPG.

Determining whether any of these games are "solo" or "party-based" would tell you nothing about whether there is roleplaying in any of them, because roleplaying consists in nothing more than the sum aggregate capacity of the game to recognise and respond to player choices in facsimile way that a real tabletop RPG responds to player choices.

CRPG just means computer RPG, it's not meant to differentiate. same as "console RPG".

BG3 has far more customizable companions, you can lvl them from lvl 1 and change their classes
