It was not bad after all the bug fixes

I had some fun with it but didn't like the writing/some of the creative decisions or gameplay decisions. A few examples are what they did to Earth, not including mechs as a gameplay option but making them a prominent part of the back story, repetitive mechanics/unfulfilling mechanics such as base building and ship building (which is also janky), the fact that all enemies scale with you and become bullet sponges (BORING), etc. I felt a lot of the game was half realized/half baked or watered down because they either didn't want to deal with it, the engine couldn't handle it, or in the case of watered down/boring quests and designs they wanted it to be generic slop to appeal to a broader market. There was some promise but it did not reach anywhere near its full potential. Was it as bad as everyone made it seem on here? Not necessarily but I wouldn't say it was anything higher than a 6.5/10
>>3886999It still wasn't good, and that's my biggest complaint.I can stomach parts of a game being bad, but if there's nothing the game does that's good, it doesn't matter. And Starfield just has nothing worth slogging through on the other side.
>>3887071>A few examples are what they did to Earth>not including mechs as a gameplay option but making them a prominent part of the back storyWhat happened to earth was the only inspired writing in the game, it's what makes the world and setting make sense and sets up an emotional reaction of loss to any sane player. The setting could have been great but it feels like there's a large skill gap between the guys who came up with the setting and the writers that actually had to deliver on it and the entire team producing and gamifying it.
>>3886999What is good about it?Gunplay? Exploration?Quests?Plot/setting?Npcs/companions and interactions?
>>3887399Settings pretty good but you have to like hardish near future sci-fi.Plots okay, you occasionally get good main story missions.Exploration is meaningless for the most part, good for a few hours then you'll find out how meaningless it is.Gunplay can be fine but it was ruined (at least hwen I played it) by the fact that you have to keep swapping out guns as you get ones with better stats. You'll find a handcannon you really like but then be forced to abandon it for an unfun weapon with higher numbers. The game was definitely a miss but a near one. Nothing about it stands out as good sadly except the concept art and music.
they literally made space dragonborn. we were all joking it was gonna be skyrim with guns and then they actually did it. the madlads. they took like 15yrs to shit out a worse version of their own game from 2011.absolute total waste of resources and time. they couldve got right to work on TES or fallout and printed money all last decade. instead they made a fucking online-only fallout with one of the most botched launches in all of vidya history, while their literal golden goose has been left shitting on itself in the corner for a decade and a half.as if anyone needed another forgettable mid space game
>>3887424I predict their next one will be Bethesda game with weapon too
>>3886999>>3887424I can't even imagine a more unimaginative game. It's like a Mobius strip of suck, with corporate sucking on the front side, and leftist sucking on the backside upon which you can take a highlight marker and infinitely travel down the degradation of our beloved art form and never reach the end of despair, merely highlighting the problem forever to the deadlock between dispassionate lowest bidders, and DEI cult zealots.
literally a 1/10somehow they manage to make the cities feel more souleless than the average village in skyrim.you have to sit through 30 load screens to progress anything, ship docking gotta stand up now and open this door another load screen coolthe quests are watered down garbage without choice - I stopped playing after completing neon and wondering what the fuck i am wasting my time with when i saw that nightclubexploration is shit just the same waypoint copy pasted over and over again, even after they added the car it's still tedious and boring and the guns are le whacky fallout 4 augments with rng attached to it nice.If this game is ANYTHING like the next elder scrolls i will hunt down todd howard myself.
>>3887424It's why I hate the normie lie that the issue is bethesda is "just doing the same thing again!", no, they're incapable of doing anything half as good as Morrowind, Oblivion or Skyrim anymore.
>>3886999its horrific>>3887013fuck off jeet shill
>>3887431>literally a 1/10It's a terrible game, but I wouldn't give it 1/10. A game has to basically be unplayable, with a terrible story and game breaking bugs to be that bad. At least you can play through starfield. I'd say it's like 4/10. Terrible story, not much to do, combat is bland, but I guess if you're into that sort of thing you can at least complete the game?
>>3888067>A game has to basically be unplayable, with a terrible story and game breaking bugs to be that badBased, I loved Dungeon Lords
