I just finished my first playthrough of Cyberpunk's base campaign and got my first ending. Is it really such a short game? I've done a bunch of sidequests, and the ending felt abrupt. I wasn't expecting the game to really end? at least it was cool that it gave me the option to rewind and some rewards to top it off with. However that undid like 4 hours of gameplay, and that was a little deflating. Is this game that much shorter than Witcher 3? I expected to continue sidequesting but it legitimately rolled credits and surprised me.

Now you can uninstall it and play a good game instead.

How many hours?
>>
>>3887404
like 30
>>
>>3887406
20-40 hours is good for me
>>
If you only do the main quest in a straight shot it's not a long game, but there's a lot of side content. I also play shit at a glacial speed though, so beats me.
>>
They made it shorter because "Witcher was too long"
I will admit that going back and forth Velen, Novigrad, Skelige was annoying but cyberpunk could be a bit longer.
Idk how many side quests you did. I have 150h with 3 playthroughs (release, later, dlc release). I spent quite some time just driving around so around 40h per playthrough.
>>
Cyberpunk is quite a long game if you're a completionist, but you appear to have speedran the main quest. Probably makes more narrative sense that way to be honest, doesn't make a lot of sense for you to fuck around doing random bullshit when you're about to die. Last time I played, I tried to systematically do all the side quests, saw some random ones I hadn't seen before. Some really did feel like a silly waste of time, like fucking around with Kerry Eurodyne's problems with his record label and Us Cracks, in particular.
I preferred the game before the level scaling garbage (fucking why, no one ever asks for this or wants this) smearing the game map out into homogeneity. So I like to treat each section of the map as a sequential area, clearing it before moving on. I'll start with the random scanner hustles, then work my way up through the organized crime dens, the gigs, the cyberpsychos, the side quests, and so on. I'll always leave the main quests for absolute last.
Try the expansion, fun story. No spoilers.

Some people just have a problem coping with the fact that you have complete control over how play the game. Time means nothing in Cyberpunk, despite the fact that your character is dying. I suppose it's hard for some people to get over that, because its jarring from a narrative perspective that there is no urgency in the game and V acts like normal in most side content.
At any rate, 2077 is best to be played and absorbed, not rushed for the story (which is medicore). There is a fuckton of content in this game that you can easily get 100 hours out of.

Also the last mission tells you its the point of no return, but its kind of a lie, because aftering finishing the game, it will put you back right before you accepted the last mission, and you'll have all the items and unique stuff you picked up during that path.

>Cyberpunk is quite a long game if you're a completionist
It's really not.
>>
>>3887413
That's another reason why leveled world is lame.
Cyberpunk did a better job at it than Bethesda, but the mechanic is lame at its core and there's no fixing it.

If the NPC levels were static and the endgame stuff was max level, it would at least force you to do the side-content.
>>
>>3887499
If you got almost 200 hours out of a single player game and you felt that it was short, imo your expectations are miscalibrated and unrealistic.
>>
>>3887502
>force you to do the side-content.
Not a good thing
>>
The only thing 2077 really did wrong, outside of some specific cut content, is how the story creates so much urgency, but there is no penalty for fucking around. People feel rushed to complete it because the narrative tells you its important when its really not. People may know you don't have to do the story right away, but there is still a huge disconnection between whats going on in the world, and whats happening to V, and its just sloppy writing. It gives the game a worse impression than it really deserves, imo.

>People feel rushed to complete it because the narrative tells you its important when its really not
That's always the case with a main story, and a sign it's doing a good job.

It's not sloppy writing, the game just isn't meant to be a sandox for 100 percent completion.

Fpbp

Yeah, the main quest is extremely short.

Most recommend
>main quest until its time to meet hanako at whatever
>do friend quests as soon as they're available
>then side content/phantom liberty
>when you're ready, do whatever ending you like
>>
>>3887446
Well I've been doing sidequests, in my journal it says stuff like wait for someone to call back, go to dogtown's borders, go to rouge and kill adam smasher, and then it's just sidequests for cyber psychos and tarot cards.
>>
>>3887581
I feel this, it's why I thought the game wasn't going to roll credits and end. I thought it would be like a Bethesda game where you simply got it off your quest log and continued on.
>>
>>3887593
I roll my eyes every time V has one of their episodes and I have to sit through several minutes of "woe is me" dialogue, sucking up all that pity from whoever I'm talking to, because they always make the point that V doesn't have much time left. This is where the game fails, imo, because most people who do not give a shit about the game other than just wanting to enjoy it will ultimately feel compelled to keep on following the clues to resolve the problem... only to find out it doesn't get resolved. They probably didn't do any of the companion side content, so you don't get some of the "better" options, you basically just have shoot yourself, or Arisaka because you've been helping Goro the whole game, why not? Both endings are incredibly depressing and it's just the cherry on top, and honestly cracks me up how so many people fall into that trap. You don't even get a resolution with Johnny if you just b-line the main story. I guarantee most people are thinking who would want to continue playing the game after all that?

nigga I got 200 hours by replaying it 3 times and doing every single thing cause I obsessed and liked it a lot
an average player would get 40-60 hours
compare that to Owlslop or Bethesda shit where you can do 1k+ hours easily and not even finish half the achievements

I just booted up the game to see what my full replay of the game took, and it was around 100 hours to do everything. There's a lot of game, there. I don't think it's reasonable to call it a short game. Sure, someone could speedrun the main quest and ignore most of the side content and finish it quickly, but it's not a short game. Like I said, your expectations sound miscalibrated and you just want to argue with someone about something. Hope you have a nice day, little buddy.

>3 inches is well within the average range and your expectations are miscalibrated
you if you ever got a GF
and that's a big IF

I’m married with kids, and a magnum dong. Cope and seethe.
You’re a retard. There, happy now? Wanted some dumb slapfight about nothing to feel better about yourself?

that's why you got so triggered
lmao

That isn't true, though. That's the difference.

>another reason why leveled world is lame.
>Cyberpunk did a better job at it than Bethesda,
just punishes progress and standard RPG grinding.
SaGa games did it "better" but only because its combat mechanics were that interesting/addictive.

>static level
>endgame max level
usually just makes the postgame too easy and unfun, unless they purposely add sidequests that are harder than endgame main quest.

that's a standard polandball story. nothing good ever happens. play Zelda if you want something positive.

so about 60hrs+ to be completist?

Anon we're not discussing the mentally ill here.
