How much would they change? How much fun, roleplay and replayability would you have?
>>3915378>How much fun, roleplay and replayability would you have?I would not play it.
Adding chat bot NPCs would add literally nothing, but it'd be even stupider for Spore or CK2. What are you doing n'wah.Sloprel
man /v/tards are getting dumber and dumber every year. how bad are these guys gonna be in their old age if they are already experiencing borderline dementia?
>>3915381>>3915382Why?
>>3915393What are you talking about?
>>3915639>>3915642go back
>>3915378I don't see how spore would benefit from this. CK2 might be interesting if the AI controls NPC behavior beyond just being a chatbot, but not enough for me to want AI slop in my games.
>>3915639npcs are intended to convey important relevant information, you'd identify unique ones from them unique dialogue. ai would either reveal too much or too little but it would make story progression difficult
>>3915714that's not really relevant in sandbox games like spore or even ck2 though.
>>3915736>that's not really relevant in sandbox games like spore or even ck2 thoughthey share that with /vrpg/
>>3915378Anon the AI better be there to just try an improve battle tactics or maybe dubing stuff I guess. Though if your mean a retarded chatbot which is to do nothing but spew random stuff than fuck off. It prob just gonna be more like oblivion dialugue if you have NPCs just talk at random. Worse is when none of what they say is true or misleading if its someone's first time playing because who knows what the shit says. Some quests are said as rumors by randoms NPCs or are unmarked and if the developer don't know what they can say its prob not a good idea to lead the player to dead ends with nothing there
I really don't think an AI NPC (aka LLM NPC) would add much to a game. Games require crafted dialogue.
>>3915649>>3915714>>3915736>>3915740>>3915753You are implying that AI is not constant improving, at some point AI could be so developed to give you infinite replayability.Ofc, if you sre talking about its actual state, you can't do much, but that doesn't mean that in 2 years we can't have some great improvements.
>>3915809gibberish vaguepost that doesn't even relate to the posts quoted. you aren't saying anything, you aren't going to say anything, you can't say anything. please go away. if ai is going to be great, cool. i don't care until it is.
>>3915809Yeah and at some point we'll have unlimited energy from cold fusion, what's your point?
>>3915811>>3915812My point is, neither of you have answered OP questions, you are just saying AI currently don't work for this games.OP was asking how will they change.
>>3915814goddamn you're dumb.go away.
>>3915814OP your question is vague and shit
>>3915815>>3915816You're not very intelligent.
>>3915809>infinite replayabilityMy ass nigga you can slap that on any moddable game. Your radiant quest ass approach to design can piss off
>>3915814>AI currently don't work for this gamesEven were it to, I do not want it, and am not interested.
It will never happen because game companies would have to get their own AI models for each game, which would include the infrastructure for it. Mods can do it because they are not official and can just use Player2 or other random models, but those are shit because they weren't coded with limitations to the game they are being used on. This has no future.
>>3915818Anyone who cheers for AI NPC dialogue clearly hasn't read enough AI creative writing. It's so samey and annoying. I've watched that shit worm its way into multiple hobbies of mine, the absolute worst being machine translation, and it only appeals to grifters trying to find an infinite money glitch and suckers.
>>3915378For the worse.None.You are massively overhyping the technology, just like the "AI" grifters themselves.
