I'm searching for RPG games which allows you to transform into dragon, and it feels like powerful thing that NPC acknowledge, instead of just buff.
I Know some of such games:
WOTR
>Golden Dragon Mythic Path, you become very powerful, glowing dragon-king, while campaign map gives you armies of dragons.
Divinity II
>You get to transform into powerful dragon that can besiege fortresses/armies/towns and this is a BIG deal, because most of dragons are hunted off into extinction.
Skyrim
>Its a stretch, but you can summon powerful dragon at end game, which can besiege enemy forts and towns on his lonesome.

I think you could do that in Mask of the Betrayer if your character was a druid

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I heard about this game called Breath of Fire

I only played BoF 4 and it's not what I'm looking. In BoF dragon is just stat boost mode/powerful attack. Yes you're Chinese style dragon in human body, and game constantly reminds that, you are not walking in dragon form and destroying armies or fortresses (unless it's a cutscene).

Thanks, I remember now. In nwn 1 and nwn 2 you could take dragon shape as epic feat

Rarer than turning into a dragon is getting an actual dragon friend that's an actual character.
I can only think of WoTR with Aivu.

I remember turning into a dragon in BG2. I can't remember if it was legit or not, I think I was hacking RAM, savefiles or game data files to get it to work. Because being a huge silver dragon was absurdly impractical in a game designed for humanoids to walk in.

Lunar on the Sega CD

Divinity: Dragon Commander is similar to Divinity 2 in that the protagonist can shift into a dragon and that's a big deal. While strong, the dragon can't really obliterate enemy armies unsupported, though, and can essentially be thought of as a hero unit in an RTS game.

The protagonist of Drakan: The Ancients' Gates is a dragon-rider. That's a huge deal in the setting, and the mix of on-foot and mounted combat helps give context to just how powerful the dragon is. I assume the first game in the series is similar, but I haven't actually played much of it.

Drakengard is similar to the above. Note that it's not a very good game, though the plot and characters are sort of compelling.

Divinity 2 (get the expansion version, its basically cut content).

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous has the Gold Dragon mythic path. It was bereft of content when I played it on release but supposedly they added more.

Dragon Commander is fun but its more of a dating sim than anything.

The Dark Souls games have a covenant that allows partial or full transformation into a dragonoid, Elden Ring also has something similar I'm pretty sure. They don't really have the NPC recognition thing though
>>
The Breath of Fire series lets you turn into dragons but be aware that Dragon Quarter fucks you over if you do this due to forcing NG+ if you do it too many times.
>>
It’s a possible ending inDragon’s Dogma
>>
>>3926482
The fact you included Skyrim but not fucking Breath of Fire, which essentially invented turning into a dragon RPG, is baffling
>>
>>3928983
On the flip side, though, dragon mode in Dragon Quarter turns the protagonist into a completely unstoppable force of nature.

just like in other BoF games
