I'm only a few hours in (I chose Corpo as my class) and I know that it's full of Redditry (capitalism is le bad) BUT it got me thinking...Why step on others to get to the top? Why not just... treat people like people? Why must everything be so vicious and adversarial? Is there really no other way for everyone to at least feel somewhat satisfied? Does there have to be so much backstabbing and apathy in the world just for people to get by? I just don't understand it and maybe I never will.

Does there have to be so much backstabbing and apathy in the world just for people to get by?This is only possible in a homogeneous high trust society composed of Christian Europeans.
>>3937582Did you really need a game to spoon-feed this to you to ask yourself these questions instead of, you know, looking at the real world?
>>3937582because low IQ people seethe ar higher IQ people and kill them and rape their daughtersthen once only low IQ people are left they still kill each other as they are not able to produce a peaceful society
>>3937582because others will step on you and abuse you to get on top.
>>3937587the christian part is unneccessary
>>3937582Do you want to be rich? Everyone does. But you can't be rich if everyone else is too.Wealth is a zero-sum game, money only buys labor and status because other people lack it.Since everyone wants the top spot and there's only room for a few, your only choice is to step on other or be stepped on.
>>3937582It's hard to imagine if you're lazy like me, but some people are extremely motivated to do things. A lot of those people tend to be rich, because they aren't fulfilled if they aren't working, and hard work pays off. People like Trump are working practically all day, and if they're not working, they're actively socializing or networking. If you're not an outgoing person, you will never understand the drive they have to succeed.
>>3938403I think for me it's the fatigue. I just can't force myself to have the drive to work like a dog because I'm always so damn tired. It's been this way for almost a decade, now.
