Why isn't there a CRPG with anime graphics?I get JRPGs and CRPGs evolved very differently but it still kind of confuses me how its so hard to find examples of this.I personally would dig it, a more anime style world and storyline but with the gameplay style of a CRPG. Preferably actual strategic turn based and not the shittiest system of all time RTWP.
>>3939449They didn't evolve differently, CRPGs deviated from the core essence of the genre while JRPGs like Dragon Quest preserved it. DQ11 has much more in common with the first Wizardry and Ultima than anything the West has made in the last few years outside of a few indie games.
anime games are cringe and bad
>>3939457>Has more in common with a shitty DOS game people played cause they had nothing else better to playIs this your idea of praise?
The closest I get to this experience is modding in custom 90s fantasy OVA portraits and letting my mind imagine a lot of it looking like that.Would love a game like that though especially if they go towards a more 90s look which I know is unlikely but still its ludokino of the highest order.
>>3939449>CRPG with anime graphicsit's not an rpg but I guess you mean something like the Turrican II intro? 1991 Devs were huge 70's space anime fans.
>>3939460Better than having more in common with GTA.
>>3939466This is pretty cool yeah.Anyways I meant more so just think your average CRPG but it has an anime influenced artstyle the entire time. Think Growlanser but even more so an actual full blown proper CRPG.
>>3939457>DQ11 has much more in common with the first Wizardry and Ultima than anything the West has made in the last few yearsJaps kept making new entries in the Wizardry series too, long after they stopped in the west, the latest one from a little over a year ago.
>>3939477Actually kill yourself you mouth breathing gachafag, I bet your stupid fucking fatass breathes at the screen so much you constantly have to rub it clean to see what the hell is even happening.Seriously every single one of your posts should be deleted. Bring up the ACTUALLY GOOD ones.
>>3939479>gets proven wrong>"k-k-kill yourself fatty"Pathetic. Go back to giving rimjobs to Todd Howard.
>>3939449Not anime graphics, but Freedom Force has western-style animation graphics.>Why isn't there a CRPG with <thing>?1. Making a decent CRPG is a lot of work and it's a niche genre.2. They're complex and tend to be overloaded with polarizing and try-hard features ensuring they remain niche (romances, combat systems, dialog trees, skill checks, etc).3. There often exists some other genre or subgenre known for <thing>.Consequently, there just aren't that many CRPGs, period. You have games with tabletop system branding (D&D, Pathfinder) and a small smattering of others.>b-but crpgaddict has 6,000+ games in his databaseyeah and most of those are either old as shit, or aren't what anyone here means when they say "CRPG." There are lots of games in his database with anime graphics, like Final Fantasy.
>>3939466that reminds me of the original mechwarrior
>>3939449Battletech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception is 1000% bad anime. I am surprised it hasn't been youtube video essay fodder at some point
Maybe there's something for the PC Engine?
>>3939449>CRPG with anime graphics?they are all gay and trannycore. absolute disgust
>>3939483So you're not denying the fact that you're a disgusting obese mouth breather who would gas out by just walking from the living room to kitchen a little bit quicker than usual?
>>3939479>>3939573>Detailed sexual fantasies of an obese manClash of clans and fortnite destroyed your anus. Kek-lmao.>>3939514Name 2. Every indie is just a dragon quest clone. And dragon quest was always shit
