Recently I completed a run of pm2 achieving the hero ending with prince marriage and the final stats seen in picrel. I've also played through pm3 a couple times and got the true princess ending in pm5. I've also played through volcano princess which was an enjoyable time. does anyone have any reqs for these kind of games where you manage and raise a cute character with lots of room for experimenting with your schedule to figure out the best courses of actions to take to achieve better endings/a high score? I liked how pm5 introduced more developed-compared to ealier pm games atleast- characters that your daughter could meet and brefriend and they would invite her to things like christmas parties or hanging out on the weekend inbetween the weekday schedule and sundays she would go out adventuring on all while managing her stress, and that she could develop different personalities based on stuff like if you raised her physical attributes alot she could become a tomboy or if she studied a lot and had good grades she could become an honor student and start studying on her freetime
So is this a thinly veiled rec thread or what. Anyways, I rarely get to sperg about them, so here's some upcoming stuff worth keeping tabs on and I want to get more support.Magical Princess - Pretty much a high budget "modern" Princess Maker that's coming out soonMachine Child- PM, but robot. And art is by Oyari Ashito. So it's borderline porn but not exactly porn. JP version is already out and EN soonish. There's also a non-zero chance of an R18 version coming out at some point because the art and CG is evidently already pushing the limit of whats allowed and I refuse to believe that Oyari doesn't actually keep full blown lewds of the robot daughterus in his closet.DRAPLINE- A bit of mix of roguelite and Princess Maker. Raise and discipline your dragon daughteru to either be the saviour against the imminent draconic onslaught. Or inadvertently raise the most evil incarnation of destruction of all. Should you allow your dragon daughteru to eat that sweet grandma villager for that sick ass +6 strength bonus at risk of permanently distorting her morality? Hard decision. Comparatively quick for a PM type game since a full raising run only takes 1-2 hours. But to be fair, it's only in early access but full release is also soonish. And now that I got that shilling out of the way, another classic daughteru raising game I love is Wizard's Climber. Raise your shitter apprentice to win the big magic tournament. Pick her magical discipline, raise her stats, direct her during combat.Very long, very grindy, very autistic game. But if you're into PM games, I would assume you're into that in the first place. You WILL fuck up your first run, but its one of those games that gets easier with each succeeding run. It's also technically an eroge if you're into that, but it's one of those games where you end up forgetting about the porn and just want to get back to grinding and raising your apprentice to be the next goddamn warrior magic god gandalf.
>>3939604>is this a thinly veiled rec threadmaybe, I just wanted to make a thread about pm and games like it because i really enjoyed it. drapline seems really promising and I've got it in my steam library but i'm holding off on playing it because i don't want to spoil the full release for myself and I'll definitely check out wizards climber and magical princess when it releases
i was right drapline is a treat
How was volcano princess? Does digimon world 1 and redigitize count?
>>3939680volcano princess has a legiable translation now and I enjoyed replaying it recently. if its on sale its a good grab, my only wrinkle was that the game is a bit easy if you alot the rank up skill points into farming and combat drops so you get a lot of meat from expeditions that you then use to make food that gives back action points with a chance to receive double dishes
>>3939528Which one is the easier game to start for this genre? Machine Child caught my interest thanks to the artist behind it so looking for a game for "practice" also because idk what to play lately
>>3939757volcano princess or honestly PM2. the cheatcode to doing well in pm2 is learning that stamina and morality/faith are the most important stats to raise early because they directly correlate with how much stress olive can handle in a given work month, so send her to work at the church and put her on the hearty meal plan or eat a delicous meal or two at the restaurant. also buy a sun dress and winter clothes, vacation at the beach in the summer to reduce weight and if you save your money and then cram art school a few months before the fall festival she can max putting the art skill and make a masterpiece that will win every art contest-alternatively you can have her do cooking house work to train cooking and win the cooking contest. both give a lumpsum of cash. theres a lot of little things you learn by playing the game over the course of multiple playhthroughs
>>3939528Games that obviously should be porn games but contain no porn irritate me.
>>3939528>simulation rpgssorry to derail your thread but simulation rpg means something different.
>>3939604>Wizard's ClimberIt's a visual novel, not a game. I spent like 10 minutes straight clicking the next option and I still didn't finish the intro dialogue.
The only thing in this genre that I've played is Long Live The Queen.Which was fun, but I don't really have a desire to go out and seek more of it>>3939820Autists are pretty prone to getting irrationally angry
>>3939846Just 10 min? That's rookie numbers.
>>3939869> that I've played is Long Live The Queen. My condolences, you've got the worst one.>>3939528Cute Knight 1 and 2 are Princess Maker games with lesser budget but same attention to detail.
>>3939869Zorana by the same dev is better
>>3939528So to be clearThis is like a dating sim but instead of working to hook up with a girl of your choiceYou work to make your girl good enough so that other men (or women I’m sure half of these are lesbos) want to hook up with her and pair them together?
>>3940083>daughter-raising sim>"so basically you're training your girl to date other men?"you might be too far gone, anon.
>>3940083You don't need to hit the pipe so hard, anon.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2742730/Robot_girls_dream_RobotBattleChampionship/As someone who has played a shitton of raising sims, I can recommend this game. I've only gotten one ending so far, but it gives you a lot of freedom to explore events and customize your robot girl. Character interactions are cute and the game gives you plenty of time to see them all even with the time limit. A single run is just a few hours long. The game isn't too difficult, I specced into high defense and most fights were a breeze until the end. The main criticism I have with the game is that shop items don't restock the resources you need to upgrade part and going to a shop wastes your time regardless if you buy something or not, but the game gives you a lot of resources anyway. If you want a pure raising sim with no combat, Sotsugyou Graduation is fun if you can handle the "interesting" English dub and the occasional RNG bullshit.
>>3940083I raise my daughters to be martial goddesses that study the blade and marry her off to a dragon because they give a massive 10k gold dowry or the fairytale prince who always has the most time consuming/stat reliant methods to get hitched to. its less about who she ends up with and more about how well I can raise a killing machine that also has the social graces of a professional courtesan and has memorized every word in the dictionary front to back. and then the next playthrough you can make her end up as a housewife or street performer or party with satan and usurp him to become the new queen of the hell
>>3940044mmmm....Elodie was pretty cute and that helped. Here every character looks a bit ... Yaas-ified??
>>3940154>he may not have a great face>but he's making a lot of moneythe eternal dilemma
>>3940088to be fair to anon, lair land story is a raising sim with an amnesiac adult girl that can romance the protagonist or some other dude. though lair land story is also obscure and a black sheep of the genre that never fixed its goddamn localization error that makes all the choices illegible because its the options from the previous choice
The genre seemed to be more alive in the 90s>>>/vr/12415785
>>3939869>Long Live The QueenIt's the South Park of raising sims, the one mediocre work hiding behind layers of ironic "everything will kill you lul" posturing. Even I Was a Teenage Exocolonist is better.>>3940162Kxenia is a qt.>>3940172Since Chinese Parents the genre seems to be somewhat revived. Volcano Princess was a big success and it's going to have a sequel, Princess Maker had another game in early access (that is stuck in a development hell) and there are a few other solid titles.
>>3939604any tips for wizard's climber?
>>3940162>alien races>you can make them look like literally anything >end up on sameface grey elves
>>3940199Advanced alien races should be beautiful super aryans.
>>3940199HeyThere’s also penguins
>>3940154>The game isn't too difficultI'm getting hard filtered by this combat, everyone has higher damage and health numbers the first boss girl beat my ass and when I restarted the only way i could beat her was getting the maid dress and upgrading it and barerly surviving how do I succeed in this game? i was putting the upgrade points into the dreams because i wanted to know the story but i think that might have made me too weak to win any fights
>Machine ChildGame has the usual fare of raising your daughteru into becoming an influential figure that will change the history of the world. But its nice that it also gives you the option to go: "Fuck this shit, I'll keep her for myself."
>>3940183It's a very esoteric and autistic game. You will need multiple runs to beat it. I'd say do one run blind to get a feel for the game and then from the second run onwards, start strategizing for a specific meta you want. Summon Magic is pretty strong imo.Check out the F95 thread for it, people there give links for JP wikis that you can use as an info resource and a couple of posts in that thread give pretty good advice on how to progress.
>>3940183Each run allows you to keep carryover bonuses into a new run, so all your fuckups will at least eventually add up to something that helps you in the end. It's honestly a rather unforgiving game, so dilly dallying and training her without a specific vision/build in mind will turn the apprentice into a mouthbreathing "we trained her wrong as a joke" retard that constantly gets her shit kicked in even just mid-game of one run. You can wing it old school and have multiple trial and error runs until you find a build and training regime that turns her into something competent, or you can just follow a guide somewhere I guess. But point is, the game doesn't offer much lenience for not knowing what the fuck you're doing.
>>3940339Took a look at it. Can pay 2x for the uncensored goon ver direct from dlsite/jast or the steam version.I don't mind gooning, but that much of a surcharge - so long as none of the story content is cut I don't think I'll bother paying that much.
man this game is fun
>>3940228Yeah the early game can be a little tricky. I think the maid job is a good investment since if you level it enough you don't have to pay for meals anymore, and it gives you one of my favorite parts in-game. I think I put points into getting new attacks at first before doing anything else.
>>3941146I eventually got through it and started winning fights after i did rub's storyline that gives you the big chunky 500 health and armor!!health numbers piece of armor, which i only learned of thanks to a steam guide that I'm very grateful to. the guitar became my mvp weapon thanks to the absurd amount of music thin accumulated from forming the band. i do have to go through the game again to get the true ending because i only met mechina once, I think the game is very enjoyable but getting that gear is night and day in terms of winning fights. i'm a little dissapointed naming thin "even" skips the months, it would have been really interesting to see the less bubbly more ebil version of her go through the same events of meeting people instead of sitting on her ass for 3~4 months
>>3940083How underage are you that this is such a foreign genre to you?
>>3941384I don’t think you understand how “age” works Anon-chan.
>>3939604just started this and I wished I saved an image i saw posted before of a chibi rin, shirou and saber humping eachother with a corruption of the phrase "mana transfer" next to them because yup. thats how we give celes mana because of course it is. at least laslocke has a fun to read monologue
How do I buy her a sword
I figured out how to buy equipment and got her some gear but I don't think she's gonna make it. I will consider it an achievement if she can complete the training tower before the end of year 3. i want to spec her in wind magic because it said its good for assisting melee combat but all i'm seeing is a summon, attack and flier targeting spell. I also decided to spec into earth a bit for heals
HOLY SHIT SHE DID IT SHE CLEARED THE BEGINNER NOOB TOWER
