Recommend me some lesser known rpgs pf any subgenre. Played almost all of the well to somewhat known games (especially CRPGs)Prefer something that has a decent story/characters and I prefer party based over solo, but anything works.Ok with dungeon crawling blobbers too
>>3943479How lesser known are we talking about? Have you played Betrayal at Krondor?
>>3943479how much of a genre fusion are you willing to accept?
>>3943479I started Black Geyser a few nights ago. I'm not very far, around the second half of part one doing sidequests while I work my way to the Espen Estate.
>>3943479Escape from Hell, Champions of Krynn, Dragonflight, Secret of the Silver Blades , Tunnels & Trolls: Crusaders of Khazan, Disciples of Steel, Pools of Darkness, Fate: Gates of Dawn,Death Knights of Krynn
>>3943483Just not popular to the point that it's instant recognized by the average online rpg fags, like eveyone and their mother is gonna onow what Ultima and Icewind Dale are or what Kingmaker & Pillars of Eternity are etc. Just looking for as many suggestions so I can construct a to play list. I haven't played that one>>3943486Don't mind hybrids
>>3943479Shadows Awakening
>>3943502>Don't mind hybridswell here you goI bet you never heard about burden of commandthat's a lesser known RPG if there is one
>>3943479I think Tower of Time is a pretty cool lesser knwon game
>>3943527Oh played that + Dark Envoy, imo ToT was better.
avernum
>>3943479Skald was way better than i expected
>>3943479I assume you never handheld/console exclusives, then?Try fire emblems and some shin megami tensei titles. If you know about SMT, when try the spinoff java ones like last bible etc. Here's a short of list of the stuff I remember, since I pirate them there's no steam owned games page I could check and recommend.BalrumCogmind (technically not an rpg)Barony (again, not an rpg)Fates of ortChained echoes (kind of popular)Beloved raptureHero's hourComic star heroine
>>3943610If you mean Against the Black Priory it's great imo, just that the last bit was kinda rushed. It has custom campaign tools, shame modding never took off>>3943621Oh I forgot about Balrum along with Stoneshard, was meaning to check em out someday. Thanks for reminding mePlayed Barony and I liked it.
>>3943621This guy misspelled Cosmic Star Heroine but luckily I am here to second his suggestion. It's by the same devs who made Cthulhu Saves the World and Breath of Death VII, which are short parody turn-based RPGs.
>>3943527I didn't like it much, but it's not bad
>>3943479Boiling point road to hellIt’s nothing like anything you have ever played
>>3943479Bump because there are good recommendations in here
>>3943479>Drakensang: The Dark Eye>Drakensang: The River of TimeBasically, NWN2/DAO at home. Have much better graphics (art direction) than both, not nearly as janky than NWN2, but with less build variety and more stat autism. Incredibly comfy and charming. The River of Time is greatly improved compared to the first game, so it's a better option if you're not sure where to start. Though it's also a prequel that shows a good number of characters from The Dark Eye when they were younger, which won't have the same effect if you haven't played the first game.
Archaelund
The Dark Disciples series, extremely soulful freeware RPGs.https://ancient-architects.com/?page_id=716
>>3943621Low magic ageTales of maj'eyalGotta be installed on every pc
>>3943479Natuk. Never heard anyone even mention it.
>>3943479>Ok with dungeon crawling blobbers tooI've recently discovered a 1990 Dos and Amiga dilogy of blobbers called "Captive". A bit simple, but is nevertheless a cool game. You play as a falsely imprisoned man locked in a cell, forced to use a computer briefcase to guide a group of robots stuck somewhere in space to find you. I've only gotten to the 3rd planet so far on the DOS version, but the game's really fun to poke around and discover things for yourself.
>>3944404>Low magic agenice little hidden gem, no story, but good combat, dungeon and roaming game if you like DnD style systems
>>3943479Knights of the Chalice 1 & 2I prefer the first one since it's more focused & less ugly, but both are very good.
>>3943479There's a game that looks like bg2 but plays in Spain. Lionheart or so. Early 2000s iirc. Swordhaven is another bg1 ripoff, it's literally called iron conspiracy. >>3943621Csh, kek. Lovely game. >>3943631 it's not a parody, but a good jrpg. The parody is dragon age 4.>>3944833Are there really no crpg? Iirc 2026 was full of isometric rpg. ... Must have been the wind.
>>3943479Atom rpg
>>3943479Consider NWN modules
>>3943584a fellow vogelhead
>>3944235Good stuff man, I hope I didnt fuck up by having 6 dex and 6 agi because I cant hit shit
Any crpg upcoming 2026
>>3945729And modded IE games, they have lots of quest and companion mods
>>3943479any and all Spiderweb games (Avernum, Geneforge, Avadon, Queen's Wish etc)Serpent in the Staglands Banquet for FoolsNecromancer's Tale
Operencia: The Stolen Sungood blobber, great characters and the dialogs are fun
>>3946481>Serpent in the StaglandsLooks like bg2. Is it good? There was a pixel isometric game similiar to bg2, from around that time and not infinite engine. Any idea?
>>3946481>Necromancer's TaleGod naaah. Don't bother
>>3946609Bad gameJust play banquet for fools
>>3946609Devs pulled a Toby Fox and did NOT deliver on their promised kickstarted DLC. In addition, there was zero attention placed toward the combat so equip all your dudes with crossbows and ranged-fuck everybody.
https://www.lemonamiga.com/games/list.php?list_genre=Adventure&list_sub_genre=RPG%202DMost people here probably never even heard of these ones.
>>3946915Scummy move. Should be held accountable.>>3946855Was planning to. Not even expensive.
>>3943624Stoneshard is great, but it's pretty hardcore eill kick you in the treeth. New update is coming soon.
>>3945125>There's a game that looks like bg2 but plays in Spain. Lionheart or so. Early 2000s iircIt's a real time alternate fantasy fallout, literally has the same special stat system and a lot of similar perksFirst act is pretty good then it nosedives into the most abhorrent dungeon crawling known to man because ran out of money and got rushed
>>3947533Yoh mean bg? I've read the dlc is OK and they managed to gather enough sales to make a second game. Is the dlc worth a play? If not, black geyser is going off my list.
>>3946991bretty guud
>>3943479Geneforge and all the other Spiderweb games
Solasta 1
>>3943479Just finished this game. It was okay. It's kind of like playing Atom RPG when you want more Fallout 1 but don't want to play Fallout 1 again.
>>3954220Is it gonna have any more DLC? Wanna play it when everything is out
>>3954502I don't think so because they're already seem to be working on the prequel.Bjalla is pure, you can wife her.
