>it’s been 20 years since oblivion came out
Do you think he ran out of juice?
>>
To be fair, he was a retard for announcing something he had not even started a development of at the time. And this naturally goes for all the corpos and indie games. They all make this mistake and then they are doing the Pikachu face reaction when people actually expect a report on progress.
>>
>>3947098
he did that with fallout shelter and it made billions, i think his head was up his ass thinking he could will tes six into dev.
>>

>oogabooga people
These are the two most boring and justifiably disliked settings. Why TES6 didn't just go for Elsweyr or some shit instead is absurd.

You are clearly too retarded to live. If that was true, then Kenshi wouldn't be as popular as it is.

He run out of juice by Fallout 4, not that Skyrim and Fallout 3 were better that previous entries but at least they were not offensively bad.
>>
>>3947095
he never had any juice, Elder Scrolls was Todd realizing his childhood dream of making Ultima in 3D.

he's got nothing left to rip-off now

Oblivion was clearly the game the old Bethesda crew put their vigor into. They reached as high as they could. And with the next game all kinds of things were pared back, or done in-house (badly) to save a few shekels. All those people still working at the company are old, they're comfortable, and you won't even get out of them a flawed could've-been game like TES IV. Whatever comes next will be somehow worse than Starfield. The list of Indians in the credits will be longer than a CVS receipt.
>>

>Oblivion was clearly the game the old Bethesda crew put their vigor into
lol no. That was the start of them selling out. Morrowind was their last PC game, Oblivion was the start of their console games.

How in the hell can't you see Skyrim was a step up in almost every way.

Oblivion had imaginitive quests, I'll give you that, but Skyrim deserved the success and I applaud the devs for all the improvements they made.
>>
>>3948837
didn't morrowind on the xbox literally restart the console when it was loading or some shit like that
>>
>>3947095
What exactly did Bethesda do?

>Skyrim came out in 2011, last DLC was 2012
>Fallout 4 came out in 2014
>Fallout 76 came out in 2018, does not really count since another studio made it
>Starfield came out in 2023

They did nothing from 2014 to 2023, Starfield was delayed for a couple of years under Phil's command

Sounds like money laundering to me, how the fuck did a studio make shekels to pay for hundreds of employees and keeping the company lights on without a major game release in between?
>>
>>3948837
Don’t be obtuse. Take one look at Morrowind’s unmodded interface on PC and compare with Oblivion’s unmodded interface on PC.
Morrowind was a PC game that was ported to Xbox (the port came out several months after the Windows release). Oblivion was designed from the ground up to be an Xbox game and launched the same day as Windows.

>we're going to the Redguard region
This is really going to be a clusterfuck between the anti-woke, pro AI grifters and the woke, anti-AI people.
>>

>tfw anti-woke anti-AI
We already had TES adventures: Redguard, Bethesda fuck off with this hammerfell shit
>>
After seeing how disturbing and grayed out the oblivion remaster is, I lost all hope in es6. Skyrim had slightly less saturated areas than the eyecandy we got in oblivion, but this remaster is ridiculous painful to look at. At least original oblivion had hilarious and goofy looking characters and ai. I can't be the only currently replaying and vibing with oldblivion instead of the demaster?
>>
>>3948932
They keep re-releasing Skyrim and people keep buying it, that's how.
>>
>>3947190
>this niche game that only trve nerds played proves you're wrong
Fuck you. Kenshi is an example of when an idea and underlying fundament is so good that even when everything else is a disaster and shit-tier it still manages to be a 6/10 game, instead of 1/10.
The setting is still boring and no one likes it. You ratty desert mongrel
>>
>>3947095
He would be asked about it whether the announcement was made or not. Skyrim is one of the most successful games ever made and it's been like 15 years since it released. People want a new TES
>>
>>3949058
>I can't be the only currently replaying and vibing with oldblivion instead of the demaster?
Once I buy a PS5 and the remaster I'll never touch oldblivion again.
>>
>>3947102
>he did that with fallout shelter
???

It literally (literally) released on the day it was revealed.
>>
>>3947188
Desert is a kino setting, I have almost no opinion about redguards though as they are one of the blander TES races but at least are not the most annoying or obnoxious. Token black race mostly. I just hope they lean hard enough into arab/berber aesthetics rather than subsaharan and a good score.
>>
>>3949240
>will be content with a meagre 12 points pr/lvl
You'll never be a true 5/5/5 chad in the fagmaster
>>
>>3949326
(Me who was 5/1/1 until my endurance hit 100 then proceeded to exploit the save/level up glitch with a 1/1/1 to get my Breton to level 166, equipped him with mundane ring, escutcheon, amulet of axes, ring of iron fist and 4 chameleon enchantments for ultimate exploits)

It's bland and boring, and the only reason devs pick it is because it saves them time and work; because they are lazy and people like you have low standards
>>

Back before skyrim came out, people wondered how they would make the frozen waste of skyrim interesting.
Then we got skyrim.
So I have a decent amount of faith that they will gives us varied and interesting biomes.

What post-Skyrim games has Bethesda released that give you hope?
>>
>>3950200
Skyrim has just about every biome you could think of in a northern european climate. The volcanic area near windhelm was especially creative IMO.
>>
>>3950082
Anicent ruins forgotten under the sand but uncovered by some random sand storm are kino.
>>
>>3950205
>Skyrim has just about every biome you could think of in a northern european climate. The volcanic area near windhelm was especially creative IMO.
I had my doubts and expected the worst, but then Skyrim released and it was the best world created yet. So yeah I was completely wrong.

Whoever the talented people were who made Skyrim's environments are, I would have a 100% confidence in them. If they're still around. Top-notch work they did.
>>
>>3950215
Meh.
>>
>>3950215
I don’t like sand. It’s coarse and irritating and rough and gets everywhere.
>>
I actually trust Todd, ES is their baby and all mainline games have at least been enjoyable im quite hopeful as long as we get both hammerfell and highrock
>>
>>3950205
You've never seen a northern european climate. Skyrim is a barren wasteland which is awful when the game is about exploring.
>>
At this point it is safe to say he isn't making another game after it so is stretching it out until he decides to retire.
>>
>>3951461
Game literally has a lush pine forest, plains, cold tundra, icy mountains, autumn forest, rocky mountains, a swamp, and a volcanic hotspring.
What skyrim have you been playing?
>>
>>3951676
When people think of skyrim they think of whiterun, the empty area around whiterun, draugr caves, and bandits spouting tag lines
>>
>>3951676
It's really nice (though perhaps not too realistic) how different all the holds are.
>>3952404
>the empty area around whiterun
It's not even empty, it's just a steppe. It has streams, a few trees, wildlife, interesting locations. I like being there. It doesn't make too much sense from a climatic pov though - it looks like a tundra, but it has farms and is south of snowy mountains with trees... could be a central asian steppe too, but those are defined by lack of water, while the whiterun area has loads of water.
>>
>>3953185
>interesting locations
And loot, random encounters. Skyrim is the first TES where I could (and have) spend a playthrough in the wilds without entering dungeons.
>>
>>3953198
I installed hunterborn and campfire. Didn't enter a town for like 20 hours.
>>
>>3948904
No that I've ever experienced, but you were running a PC game on MIPS Architecture which couldn't fully utilize the XBox's hardware.
The game would run fine at the beginning, but the more you played, the bigger your save file got, and at endgame you would be facing around 10 minute loading screens when entering different maps.
>>
>>3948904
Yeah it reboots to clear memory

I'm not so sure. Starfield was a flop. Even people who like older Bethesda games think they fell off at some point, and prefer [their first TES they played as a teenager]. Is TES 6 even going to come out? Is it a real game?

You do realize it’s not going to be just a flat plane of sand, they might have sand dunes in the deep interior, tropical coastal jungles, hilly Mediterranean scrublands, and mountains and islands as well, right?
>>

I don't think he is smart enough to look at a map.
>>
>>3955176
Even among deserts, there are different types IRL.
I hope they won't do cactus deserts though. Those are american and don't fit into the old world african/arab context of the redguards.

I prefer skyrim over oblivion, just saying.

To be fair, they clearly did it to pump the value up as they were being bought out lol
>>
>>3947095
If they didn't waste time on starfield (lame) and fallout (Obsidian would do it better anyway) they would have been on at least TES 7 by now.
Alas all hope of them making a good game is gone after their history of retardation with FO4, FO76 and SF, in addition to their best employee leaving lol

Redguard look more "red" to me than black, they don't speak like niggers too so thats a plus. I think there culture is more arabian themed, as long as they don't include alot of nigger hairstyles and don't make the npcs all have braids, it would be alright. And you never know they might include alot of Highrock too and not just Hammerfell
