Played it first time like a month or two ago and did multiple things they say shouldn't be possible, like managing to get Raven and Zan Alurin to stay in one party. However pacing is indeed scuffed, exacerbated by the fact you get XP for punching or casting. There's a bunch of small weird things like companions being locked off unless you have high enough level, but then they get fucked by you overleveling them (though it isn't a big deal, more just a trigger for my 'tism).
