sup /vrpg/Steam Sale is so good that I finally bought (Ultimate Edition) of Fallout: New Vegas. There are some quirks with the game I'd like to know before playing>TechnicalI'm on "PCR" / Russian version of the game, which has a bunch of technical DLCs for dubs, what the fuck should I disable here? I also heard some mods are not compatible with PCR because of a different AppID or whatever, how true is this?and yeah what mods should I install to make the game stable enough? I've heard of 4Gig fix and stuff but a proper list would be nice>Game itself/v/ spoilered the story to me, mainly its ending and how it's either democracy, Roman LARP, lawless chaos or ancap/NRx. How deep are choices in sidequests? Can I, say, complete everything for NCR and just betray them in favor of House? I've heard of the game being much deeper than Todd's Fallout but I wonder it's a "true" RPG or just a "controlled experience" might blogpost my playthrough here if the /vrpg/ is really as slow as people say
>>3948260expect a first person shooter in an empty open world designed for casual consolefags
>>3948266so Fallout 3 and 4?
>>3948260>I've heard of the game being much deeper than Todd's Fallout but I wonder it's a "true" RPG or just a "controlled experience"This mf acting like he 12 years old
>>3948269yes it's the same type of game
>>3948272>non-answer
>>3948260>I'm on "PCR" / Russian version of the gameu dun goofed. better luck next life
>>3948419I literally couldn't buy standard NV3 (three) of my accounts are in regions that have PCR Russian stores don't seem to sell global keys because lol why would they
>>3948260>bought New Vegas, what should I expect?I expect you to start hormone replacement therapy within the year
>>3948666no way, satan
>>3948666>>>/v/ is that way, Rajesh
>>3948260Disable all the DLCs before your first playthrough. The base game is more cohesive and more stable without them. Also remember to fast travel frequently to avoid crashes due to the memory leak.
>>3948681>The base game is more cohesive and more stable without them. Also remember to fast travel frequently to avoid crashes due to the memory leak.shouldn't mods fix this?
>>3948272You type like a 12-year-old.
>>3948260Expect extreme jank and a good amount of fun if you let it be fun.
>>3948682Yes, if you go through the hassle of installing Viva New Vegas. But if you disable DLCs on an unmodded game it runs just fine.
>>3948260>what should I expect?A very very very boring game, where you can NOT sprint, constant loading screens, same missions to help annoying characters, shitty combat, yellow filter that gives you headaches, bugs (a lot of bugs), no real fealing of roleplay, etc. Enjoy it, anon.
>>3948785>where you can NOT sprintso?
>>3948786Most of the game consists of walking towards waypoints. there's a keybind to automate the walking and fast travel to eliminate backtracking
>>3948785Just this, that and just skill checks and the whole story being nothing more than >Muh coin>Muh Coin being independent VegasAnd some shit with capitalists and Roma larpers. At the end of the day killing everyone feels more and more justified
