Any anons here play sports RPGs? Something like how Blitzball ends up being or something more with a story? Can only recall something mainstream like 2K's NBA games career modes, but that just doesn't do it.
Meanwhile, /vrpg/ might be rising from the ashes to return to the fields of divegrass in 4chan Cup. It's been a year since last we took to the battlefield, but maybe we can do it once more. The 4CC is some good ol' board-on-board virtual violence via Pro Evolution Soccer, with most of the boards of 4chan competing against each other. /vrpg/ hopes to make a return and perhaps see an updated roster if the interest is there. If there's any suggestions, please share them. For the current state of the team lineup, its story and more about the 4CC, see https://implyingrigged.info/wiki//vrpg/Hope to see more of us there.
>>3950332oh please yes, its a while
>>3950357The hope is to make a showing during spring and show everyone what an RPG really is while there. And while we're at it, see if there's any wishes from the board on changes. Can't promise anything when it comes to results, but hopefully the cup run ends up entertaining and good enough to build on in future cups.
>>3950330Tony Hawk's Underground
still need to get that new Inazuma Elven game
>>3950475Tried one of the THUG games recently and came to the conclusion that this shit is fun but my withered hands can't keep up. Should give it another shot some time again.>>3950497Entirely overlooked this game, but it actually looks interesting. 92% on steam also sounds promising.
>>3950330>>3950332I would like it if all vidya teams were alive regardless of being either in the babbies or elites, so sure, let's get on with it.I wonder if Inazuma Eleven can get a player here...
>>3950330>>3950332I agree with >>3950638
>>3950332based, keep up the good work
>>3950330Could you make a sports rpg?Not like Blitzball where Titus plays it and it's a side game.I mean like a deadass rpg where your goal is to be the best (sports) player ever?
>>3950330World Court Tennis for the TurboGrafx-16! The RPG mode is called "Quest Mode". The western and Japanese covers are pretty different! In the Tennis Kingdom, everyone is at peace and loves tennis. Until the Evil Tennis King arrives and steals the tennis court, so people can no longer play tennis! You are tasked with saving the kingdom by defeating the Evil Tennis King. Travel from town to town, talk to villagers for hints, fight random (tennis) battles, earn money, buy gear (sneakers and rackets)
>>3950332Good luck. I can suggest Estelle because of the sky remakes, a different dragon quest rep and something form Metaphor.
>>3950646And here's a screenshot of Quest Mode for good measures
>>3950332Add Emily Ortal schizo on the roster. One who makes weird autistic posts on Fallout threads (and Mass Effect ones).
oh, the team is reviving, god i missed this little niggaalso add something inazuma eleven related, maybe a raimon kit or a player idk....
>>39503302k26 eras my NBA with player lock You create your own player and get drafted like 60 ovr and I use 2kdraftdotcom to have realistic stats progression. It's kind of fun playing in different NBA eras seeing your player progress. It's kind of repetitive though but It scratches the itch sometimes. Also old PES and Fifa games are fun for 2 season career mode. Fifa 16 with infinity patch was the most fun I've had with a sports game ever
played a lot of new star soccer back in the day
>suggestions:>le quirk earthbound-inspired indie RPG (make its head Sans with Ness hat)>something about Expedition 66>Shota Raising Simulator (Inazuma Eleven)>Play Tales
>>3950330I want an Inazuma Eleven-like game in the scale of Football Manager. Kinda like Captain Tsubasa level of sensible fantasy, but a bit more whimsical with Inazuma Eleven's hissatsu mechanics.
Poll when?
