Games based on anime franchises. Not games that have anime art styles or were later adapted into an anime series. It's interesting when the anime setting is set in a fictional MMO. Some things are standard RPG mechanics like crafting and job systems. But then there are the more fictional elements, you have to wonder if it would work in reality.

Echoes of Aincrad looks interesting because it's not just recapping the anime's story arc, like most adaptions do. But I could be wrong.

Kids today will take that for granted. Recapping an entire show in a video game? I played a Dragon Ball Z game on the Game Boy Advance when I was a kid. I don't know how to describe it, except that you could speed run it in 30 minutes. I was shortly impressed, until I picked up Golden Sun and realized they could have fit a lot more content into it.
Seventh Stand User is really good.
