Nintendo not localising Mother 3 was honestly the best move. It came out on a dying handheld, Earthbound flopped hard in America and the fanbase was the definition of a vocal minority. And we got a faithful fan translation instead of a troonslation with censorship
>>3965428>Earthbound flopped hard in AmericaStopped reading here
>>3965428The fan translation is better than anything Nintendo would have officially shat out back then or today
>>3965428game isnt even connected to the first two games.
It would be censored
>>3965918Extremely incorrect. And now we all know that you didn't play any of it.>>3965428What do you even mean troonslation? The reason they didn't officially release it is specifically because of the distinctly Japanese extremely bigoted depiction of gender and sexuality.
The game itself is filled with troons
>>3968691...that you race to unalive with your brother after they get him killed.
>>3965428insists upon itself: the game
>>3968378i did play it faggot. eat shit kys.
>>3968378>The reason they didn't officially release it is specifically because of the distinctly Japanese extremely bigoted depiction of gender and sexuality. That's been debunked by Reggie ya underage
>>3968956It's been rebunked. Source: Reggie told me
>>3965428Mother 3 is a game that is interesting, but not engaging. For being a classic style JRPG, the player has very little agency in terms of exploration or progression, and effectively none in terms of character building or party composition. Most battles boil down to seeing which enemies you can staple/stun, then just chipping them to death as you recover. The only real gameplay hook is the timed hit gimmick, which is satisfying when it works, frustrating when it doesn't, but gets old either way.Much like Earthbound, Mother 3 just isn't a very good game. All the hype around it is based entirely on the "vibes", and if you can't distract yourself with those, you're going to be put off by everything else.

>>3969862>it never gets old and is very addicting.Sure, if you're a toddler who likes jingling keys. If I want to play a rhythm game, I'll just play a rhythm game. Music will be better, too.
