Has anyone here played through the entire Fallout series? The real one that is, not the Bethesda spinoffs.
>>3966568>Has anyone here played through the entire Fallout series? The real one that is, not the Bethesda spinoffs.Yes, I played FO, FO2, and FO:Tactics. You seem to have a bunch of spinoff garbage in your image for some reason, though.
>>3966573How do you know it's garbage if you've never played it?
>>3966568Played everything from your pic. Sonora and Dayglow are the best. Is that all that you wanted to know?
are there any upcoming total conversion mods? preferably ones that haven't been in development for so long that they can post on 4chan
>>3966613Fallout: Yesterday but it's one of those that will never come out.
>>3966591>Is that all that you wanted to know? No, I also wanted to know if you're down to fuck.
>>3966568I played through Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and some of Fallout Tactics a while back. Never heard of that other stuff in your image and I honestly can't be bothered with tracking all those things down, tracking down the translation patches and anything else they need to run and setting it all up for something that probably won't be as good as Fallout 1, or Fallout 2. Hell, that other stuff may not even be as good as Fallout Tactics.
>>3966634I am if you'll force that ruskie faggot to make another better-than-original mod. Or that not-Fallout game that he planned.
>Wasteland Half-Life>I am forgotten
>>3966694What am I supposed to do, put him in a gulag? He's already in Siberia.
Bought all the games when they first came out. Havent played any of that goofy fan mod shit though.
>>3966568Not these fan project mods but yes F1 F2 Tactics (which is criminally underrated). Obviously not BoS because I'm not going to waste my time for the sake of being contrarian. My opinion is that F1 is the best overall experience and story. F2 is the best roleplaying experience with lots of questing and worldbuilding. Tactics really lets you get lost in the combat. I lament Bethesda won't honor the games roots and make an Isometric RPG because there is clearly demand. I've accepted for some time that the fallout IP is a desecrated IP
>>3966613Mutants Rising fucking when
>>3967021>Obviously not BoS because I'm not going to waste my time for the sake of being contrarianId buy it for like five bucks just out of curiosity, but I don’t think it even got a pc port
>>3967021>>3967427I bought BoS when it came out, and took a load of shit from NMA for making jokes that defended it.It's not a good game by any means, but, if you liked Dark Alliance or Marvel Legends, you'll probably like BoS.
>>3967816meant Marvel Ultimate Alliance, i guess.
>>3967816>Dark AllianceI'd also buy this for five bucks just out of curiosity, but the publisher just raised their base price from $30 to $40. Absolute insanity
>>3966568Dayglow is a DLC/expanaion pack and not really a separate game. Also, why the fuck did you arrange them in the release order and not in the actual in-game chronological order>Nevada: OCT 10th 2140>Fallout 1: DEC 5th 2161>Sonora/Dayglow: APR 26th 2167>Resurrection: MAR 15rh 2170>Fallout 2: JUL 25th 2241reeeeee
>>3967422This year, very soon
>>3966633Fallout Yesterday is a literal scam; it's "released" in a state below alpha, has a shitton of unfinished quests and content, placeholder art assets for everything lifted from every possible Fallout source or worse, extremely questionable story and gameplay/game design decisions, half or more of the "team" left, the list goes on. And the guy behind it is literally taking patreon donations for his "work" from nostalgia retards that still view Van Buren as some sort of sacrosanct holy cow of Fallout. It's insulting trash
>>3966613Aside from Mutants Rising, there are at least two more TCMs in development as far as I'm aware (three, if you count Yesterday), plus whatever is the new project the author of Sonora is working on; but all of these are years away
Fallout Tactics is a mediocre tactics game and a mediocre Fallout game.
>>3968343Your hot take was cold 20 years ago, fyi. It’s now approaching 0 Rankine.
>>3968213Spill details on these other 2.
>>3968343Did "No Mutants Allowed" close or something? Why repeat what was settled like 22 years ago?
Played FALLOUT 1 a TON this year, haven't played FALLOUT 2 because of the world map speed problem which makes me go faster and get random encounters on EVERY TILE that i dunno how to fix.
It's funny how many modern gamers don't know that there is almost nothing tying Fallout 1, 2 and NV (west coast) to Fallout 3, 4 and 76 (east coast), specifically for legal reasons when Bethesda first acquired the license for Fallout. Of course, now they're treading on the bear and rewriting west coast history with that god awful tv show.
>>3966568I only ever played New Vegas. I tried to play Nevada (then go to F1, Sonora and F2) but frankly, I just don't like these top down RPGs, even if they do have certain advantages over 3D first person one's, but still not fun to play for me.
>>3966568I can't read Spanish, or Russian so no.
>>3967021Why would you even want another game from Bethesda? Isometric or not it'll be garbage.Just play Underrail, Atom RPG or Wasteland.
>>3976190>I only ever played New Vegas. I tried to play Nevada (then go to F1, Sonora and F2) but frankly, I just don't like these top down RPGs1. Average Fallout fan in current year, the absolute state of.2. Why the fuck would you play some modder fan fiction and not just play 1 and 2? Is there some YouTuber telling zoomers to do this
I wasn't into FO1, would I like 2? The story didn't hook me the way other RPGs from that era did. I felt more invested by games like Arcanum, BG1, Planescape, IWD, etc. I found the companions kinda clunky and couldn't really tell you any quest that stood out to me. I wasn't a fan of how gear dependent the game was either. Combat was by far the best part.
>>3976259the main quest is bad but the side quests are very good. the companions are less clunky (there's a mod to control them in combat if you like) and more perks make it a little less gear dependent. its worth trying, but the good combat encounters are a small part of the game
>>3976226I would not play F1 for the same reasons. It's not about that, it's in general, the top down rpgs are a chore for me to play. One I finished was Age of Decadence, but that's because it had an interesting and not generic setting.
