what are the best entry leve jRPGs?
>>3980123Entry level huh? Uh...>Sword of mana>Secret of Mana >Seiken Densetsu 3 and it's remake>Mario RPG >Paper Mario>Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door>DQ Monsters series >Mario and Luigi SeriesPlay the originals not the sterilized remakes >Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles >Megaman Battle Network These are good for entering into the genre if you are new or younger.
>>3980123metal max 2
>>3980123microsoft excel
>>3980123>classicChrono Trigger >modern Xenoblade 1
>>3980123I know you'll hate the answer, and this isn't a shitpost, but honestly... Expedition 33. The oldies were amazing for the time that those of us had the privilege of playing them when they were cutting edge, but newer people won't have that connection. It'll just look old and weird. Using a more modern hook with modern graphics and design to get them through the door as they attune to other parts of a JRPG will make them appreciate the old ones more as they familiarize themselves with the non-graphical aspects of it.
>>3980273kids play minecraft and dont give a fuck about graphicsthe design is surely something but jrpgs basically haven't changed at all after the snes era outside of loosening save restriction
>>3980273>make them appreciate the old ones moreMight be true.. although I didn't end up liking old jrpgs. They had a long way to go.
>>3980273I think more people are willing to try older games than they're given credit for, accessibility is probably the biggest hurdle since many can’t or won't emulate but the more archaic/rudimentary elements of the experience are often part of the appeal. I do see the merit of your point though, it's a decent game to get people through the door and into the genre proper
>>3980273Stop acting white and 12, kids only play hyperreal slop because they want to seem like they are more mature than they are. Also I mentioned the Seiken Densetsu 3 remake didn't I?
>>3980223>Play the originals not the sterilized remakesTRUTHFor that matter, also play the Gamecube version of Thousand-Year Door and not the Switch version that butchered the original game's writing.
>>3980123... hmm... probably Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is my first pick. It's very approachable, it crosses genres, the action commands keep the encounters engaging. There are no random encounters. Items are very powerful in the game. The game is constantly throwing gold coins at you to keep your item reserves up. The game is constantly throwing items your way. Shared FP makes it great because you can have a character you care less about attacking use a syrup, or equivalent, and let a character who wouldn't have been able to use a skill actually use the skill you want. The scenarios are fun, the music is fun, just all around fun vibes. The fact that it is a Mario themed game helps because there's probably not a single gamer who hasn't ever picked up a Mario game.

>>3980470>the more archaic/rudimentary elements of the experience are often part of the appealNTA. Yes, but it only becomes novel AFTER they have the context of new games that came after. My two cents.
you were all useless faggots and I hope you will get raped by arabs, I decided on Persona 5
>>3980234>>3980620Acting white. I put forth many that were action RPGS.
