What's the most efficient way to play and party setup? World of Ruin keeps rocking me.
>>4145447There's decent versatility in party members so it's actually hard for me to say what is best. Maybe Gogo can fit in any party once his stats get boosted by items, but generally you kinda just have to feel out which party you want to use in terms of specialization versus balance versus longevity. The relic-altered skills bring more interesting options to the table for characters. Some skills can even trivialize certain WoR boss fights (Celes' Relic-altered Pray command doesn't just heal HP, it also removes frozen status, which makes ice dragon way easier to deal with versus blasting yourself with fire magic). The one character I tend to leave later on is Sabin, because as strong as he is, blitz is just a pain in the ass to execute across multiple battles (even though his new blitz skills are better). Umaro also gets shelved a bit because him throwing characters isn't as good as it used to be, and the randomness of it popping up fucking sucks when you're trying to get him to x-fight instead. Everyone else is pretty much just their vanilla selves, but better.
>>4145447most of WoR was doable without grinding as long as I prepared the right equips/resistances for the area I was heading to. Gathering party members & all the way up to clearing the dragons. Getting X-magic on celes & terra was the biggest power spike by far.Once you reach the later stages (Ultima esper in your pic & beyond) I had no fucking clue aside from grinding xp on dinosaurs & cheesing colosseum for stat pills.
>>4146763WoR has assumed that you immediately ran out and rushed to get Strago and learned Mighty Guard, and you are casting it every boss battle. Otherwise, you can spam the espers that give you the same effect.
>>4146771oops, I never used Strago. Did spam a lot of espers to set up defenses but I especially remember the later bosses outspeeding so hard with multi hits that I had to colosseum some speed tabs which are basically freebies with how cheap it was to amass them.

>>4146763Gau + Nighthawk Rage + Epos Bracer + Offering is insanely strong and destroys the majority of bosses. Only issue is keeping him alive. If you can do that, he'll chew through all but the most bullshit of bullshit (like Kefka turning invincible when he's charging Forsaken).
