Tried this mod out recently.Legit can't play the game anymore now without it installed and active at all times.
>>2117306>no update in years
>>2117306this made me look up lovers lab modsholy shit, their body models are actually amazing
>>2117313you mean to tell me you never actually even bothered to look it up beforehand?i would normally install it just for the sake of removing any possible 'censorship' whatsoever and just having properly nude models, even if not using the sex mods at all.
>>2117306I hate that this mod is actually kind of impressive and has actual mechanics better than most huge mods even though it's just one autist. Only thing that genuinly sucks about it are the extremely long events.>>2117309It's revived (again) and regularly updated, "Interracial takeover 3rd edition" on loverslab.

maybe they will finally remove soviet era man made lakes lmao
Need mod surrounding the idea of "War Orphans" or something like that. I might get around to making it myself at some point if I really feel like wasting time learning how to.But basically, I just recall there being an event in CK2, possibly from a mod itself, where when you are on a Crusade, moving through enemy or conquered territory, you can trigger an event where some child local to that plays tries to steal your money while you're perusing through a market stall, then if you catch him, you're given the option to take him into your court as your ward.I've only managed to do it in full once where I raised him up as the Queen of Navarra then ended up marrying him when he came of age cause her husband died a while back and then also gave him land.Would be cool to have something similar but with more events sometimes tied down to just raiding or sieging down fortresses. For example, you could be raiding some Christian county as the Vikings, then one of the raiding events is you finding out a bunch of children that have had their parents killed in said raid either by you or your soldiers specifically, then based on who it was, you're given different options, like, if you're Sadistic for example, you can choose to just have the children killed as well for a reduction in your stress level. If you're compassionate, you can choose to either take them into your court, not necessarily adopt them into your house, but choose take them into your court and raise them yourself or through your courtiers, or just spend money to send them off to somewhere they can be taken care of. Maybe have an event where one of the children wants to try and duel you in order to avenge their parents, and you can accept or decline.Similarly, if you do take them in, options on how they should be raised could be trait locked to some degree like, if you're lustful or deviant, you can just be like "This child will be raised and taught on how to be a good wife / husband - concubine / consort."
for a game with a ROYAL COURT (least impactful sims medieval feet dangling theatre) there is almost no connection to or involvement with the influential people who inhabit your realm in this game. in ck the iind, when henrik was still virile and a dangerous threat, you took note of your courtiers and they would actually breed and form interesting storytelling sidebars. unlike in ck numeral 3 where they are forcibly sterilized because they aren't a direct vassal
in ck the mighty sequel no. roman numeral deux,, you wanted to breed everything and that's why horny henrik would go so insane with lust that he accidentally put dungeons & dragons in his game. and this was with 2d portraits. still, life in this world wears all of us down and so now you have invisible forced (and statistically likely) cuckolding and scripted cuckolding events. like so many naive before him he imagines adding the yellow fever pusci will make it all good again but realistically he needs to FIX the 3d model tits. they LOOk. BAD
>>2117743>he needs to FIX the 3d model titsJust install one of the body mods off of lovers lab like this guy found out >>2117313

apparently the elder scrolls mod might actually update soon, some tester told another guy to hold off on playing dark elves and a dev gave it the "soon (tm)"bout fuckin time I hope those nerds can get to relax a little before it gets butt demolished by coronations for months for some fucking harebrain reason like some goblin's testicles being too smooth

>>2117269This is good, ck3, vic3 and now eu5 look way too similar to each other. Hope they change even more
Is ck3 better than ck2 yet? Will it ever be?
>>2118014it should be really good by the end of the next year, we are getting republics, catholic and crusades content
>>2118014It has a ton of issues. The AI is fundamentally retarded and can't do half the things the player does. Stats balloon to ludicrous levels. Men-at-arms and knights are so powerful that levies don't matter at all, and 3 strong knights can wipe out an army of 30,000.That said, CK2 had a ton of similar issues - especially regarding AI - and the expansions got pretty retarded towards the end. It's probably better now as long as you go in knowing that at no point will you be challenged.
>>2118021i hope you find a game that makes you feel challenged
>>2117680It's a Chinese guy.
>>2117306This is how the "go back to /pol/"-posters play ck3.
>>2117269IMO the game has improved since launch. In my recent campaign, I attacked mountains with 11K against 3K and lost. This is actually good, because it seems mountains have been boosted. On launch, even 1:2 struggled to win in the mountains.Or maybe it is because I have turned Impact of Advantage from 5% to 10%
>>2118483I'm not sure how that's relevant to Elder Scrolls outside of AI being utterly incapable of preserving their dynasty through arranging marriages multiple generations down

>>2119391also, 2 dev diaries a week until Coronations is released
activities have to be one of the shittiest "mechanics" in this garbage game. Who the fuck is asking for these? It's literally just event spam.
>>2119391Classic PDX to waste potential. At least we get Italienzug because HRE emperors need to be anointed in Holy Site (Rome). It does mean that Russian Emperors will get fucked because closest Orthodox holy site is Constantinople
>>2119409I mean, characters traveling on the map is at least nice. But it makes me wonder what is the point, because you can't actually interact with other traveling rulers during journey. Also, it's really silly that you need a regent while you go on pilgrimage, but for few months, but not when you go a crusade for years.
>>2119415Travelling is good. Having to click through the same 5 events for any given activity hundreds of times is absolutely abysmal. It actively sucks the fun out of the game.
>>2119412Köln is a holy site , so don't expect any Kaisers crossing the Alps
>>2119432That's right, so I guess the Pope will travel to Köln to crown French and HRE emperors, no matter how little historic sense it makes?
>>2119460Inviting the Pope to Cantebury and when he declines starting the Anglican faith 500 years early.
>>2119412>>2119432>>2119460Does that finally mean that Christian rulers will have to be acknowledged by the pope before being crowned kings? t. too lazy to read dev diary
>>2119305But Franks were already claiming the Roman successorship. So it is like saying Roman-Roman Empire.
>>2119391>>only Emperors can receive Anointment from Head of Faith at a Holy SiteAhahahamhaThey did it again.Bahaha.How stupid can you get PDX? Literally every King received anointment when getting crowned. And even Dukes did because Nitrian and Great Moravian rulers were always closer to Dukes and they received anointments.
>>2119512>Franks>RomanSo it's the Franco-Roman Empire
>>2119515Learn to read. I didn't say they were Roman. I said they were claming Roman successorship. So saying Franko-Roman Empire is like saying Roman-Roman Empire. Feankish Empire was literally built as successor of Rome and rival of Byzantines. That was big reason why Irene hated Charlemagne because she refused to aknowledge him as successor of Western Rome.
>>2119518I don't mean 'Franco-Roman' as in the 'Frankish Empire' and 'Roman Empire', but as in the 'Frankish Roman Empire': the Roman Empire ruled by the Franks. More accurate than the contemporary slop name 'Carolingian Empire'. >This image of a Christian state and its Christian ruler affected concurrent official discourse, as indicated by the increased use of the categorypopulus Christianus (the Christian people), together with the term imperium Christianum (Christian empire).>In those years, although the annals both named Charlemagne or Louis the Pious emperor and often called the people of their empire populus Christianus, the Carolingian realm was still referred to as regnum, universum regnum to distinguish it from particular kingdoms of the Carolingian sons, or omnis regnum vel imperium suum (the entire kingdom or his own empire)>Other sacramentaries replaced the expression Romanum sive Francorum imperium with ones that name not only the Franks but also the Romans as imperial gentes: Romanorum atque Francorum imperium, Romanorum sive Francorum imperium, or Romanorum imperium.Quotations from "The Symbolic Languages of Authority in the Carolingian World" by Ildar H. GaripzanovBoth Christian Empire and Universal Empire would be confusing -- and are already included in the medieval notion of a 'Roman Empire'.>Why not just Frankish Empire?Cause>Why not just Roman Empire? To keep consistency with vanilla naming conventions. Cfr. Byzantine EmpireI might just make a game rule that allows all these options if isn't too finicky.
>>2119518>>2119548There
>>2119497>Does that finally mean that Christian rulers will have to be acknowledged by the pope before being crowned kings? No, there are two types of coronations. Coronations and anointments. Latter are for kings and presumptively performed by the realm's priest, while latter is for emperors and can only be done by the religious head.
>>2117345>I hate that this mod is actually kind of impressiveI haven't used this one but that sounds like that corruption mod for Miao Ying in Warhammer 3. I dont know if its possible to avoid the lewd stuff in one built around blacked but even if you spam through all the events in the Miao one it has fun mechanics and units to use.
>"The main regional flavor focuses of this DLC are Christian and Western European">shows an African for the coronation activity>can't crown heirs>can't get a coronation per kingdom/empire>coronation activities are apparently entirely secular>you and the pope arbitrarily forced to travel to a holy site to be anointed, presumably to justify the work spent on the travel mechanic>can't use a local priest or even the highest realm priest (i.e. a powerful representative of the pope) like you could in CK2How do Paradox keep on fumbling? At this point I guess we're lucky to get any Europe content at all, and just have to hope the fart jokes and gay millennial humour is kept to a minimum.
>>2117831rip in piss old mountains, they got the job done but they weren't prettyand now india looks like some weird fucking elf land with all that purple
>No good total conversion mod to this dayWhy is CK3 so much behind HoI4?
>>2119956To me the answer is that it's less work to do hoi4 total conversions than ck3.Both need maps with countries, technology/innovation, and decisions modded, but in hoi4 you only have to deal with portrait leaders while in ck3 you're dealing with 3d models of characters.
>>2119579pro tip you can use switch cases in CK3switch = { trigger = has_game_rule acd_roman_empire_name = { set_title_name = e_roman_empire } etc...}
>>2119956because the core gameplay loop is exhausting and boring. CK3 needs an overhaul at a fundamental level

I want a total conversion mode based off of the Chivalry world and lore. Issue is that there's really not that much to go on to create something proper here. You could try recreating some of the few various events surrounding both games. One being Argon the First's Crusade on the Tenosians that takes the far into the desert regions and you can choose to either play as Argon and see if you can manage to get the crusade done with, or play as the person he left back home as a regent and have a specific event line going down where you can choose whether to try and gain total control of Agatha and overthrow Argon or just dutifully complete your mission to reign over things until he comes back home.Or you could just start it off right around the time where the Civil War between Agatha and the Mason Order starts in the vents of the first game. Alternatively, you can go for the events of the second game instead where either the next Civil War between the Mason controlled Agatha and smaller Agathian army against them, or before the leadup to it where Argon the Second is still growing up in order to take control and declare war on the Masons. You can have some specific event line firing up while playing him too in order to gain certain traits of lifestyles that you would want to play through.Alternatively, you just play as a complete nobody and see how much you can deviate off of everything. The only other issues here is that we don't really have much information on a lot of the places aside from the few ones on the map that you can actually play through in the games, so if you were to make this, you would have to fan fic a shit ton of region names, as well as names for characters since we don't know exactly what the naming convention is like for them either within the game's universe.
>>2121134>Egypt >blackThere never have been a bigger meme than that
>>2117306kek this reminds me of some fucked up BNWO AI RP scenario I played once. If you want the link just say I'll find it for you.
>>2119956As the other anon said the Hoi4 gameplay loop is fun and can be done in 4-6 hours at most. It's the shortest to play grand strategy game.
After All Under Heaven, we need more government types in europe and the middle east, some more transitory to represent different patterns and trends

Haven't played CK3 in a while. Decided to catch up on the DLC & try out fallen eagle, have had a slight obsession on wanting to be an adventurer during the downfall of Rome.Ended up doing 20-25 years as a military adventurer, got an offer from Western Roman Emperor & got given Napoli. Was finally introduced to administrative governments. Felt like an actual fucking retard trying to understand what the fuck to do, my brain is hard wired to only understand Feudal based structures. Whats the overall thoughts on admin governments & anyone else have the same issues starting out?
>>2122319Acquire influence mana and eventually put all your family into governor positions, then make a play for the throne if you want.
Do you think this game will get supported for long or will they cut off support soon?
>>2122350I imagine its all dependent on DLC sales. I suspect that if the game starts to taper, they'll look to pivot to creating a new game or perhaps just cut the amount of DLC.Personally, I think they'll continue on for a couple more years at least. They seem to have a decent rhythm for releases now & the player base seems genuinely healthy. My only gripe is that this means more and more mods will go out of date, due to them shifting versions every 3 months.>>2122331Seems easy enough, probably was over complicating it.
>>2122350I give it at least 5 more years. There's no graphical reason to make a new one and their engine is the same as their other new releases (Vic3 and EU5). HoI4 and Stellaris are still getting DLC and EU4 went on for 11 years.
Does this game have a mod that makes the AI at least sort of competent? HOI4 is unplayable without AI mods

>>2122389>>2122390DEXgods keep winningBut jokes aside, it is hilarious how PDX keeps peddling this RPG bullshit that equipment can make you into a god on the battlefield. We literally have many records of peasants slaughtering the armoured knights, with the best equipment and horse they could afford, and they used the simple farming equipment to do so. Meanwhile, they still ignore the actual training and tactics, and it is relegated to an afterthought.
>>2122389You do realize blind people can learn how to "see" in various other ways, right?Similar to what bats sometimes do where they see based on echolocation and just sound in general and whatnot.
>>2122687Intrigue is worthless if you're not going to bother and do any underhanded shit for your playthrough, but it does still play a role in certain situation where based on it, you can counter certain events from what I recall... If you start with west Francia, you can just eat your fellow kings by calling other kings to help you (first lotharingia, then east francia, then Italy, then Bavaria). The difficult thing was getting the iberian lands, with no holy war CB I had to fabricate claims county by county (even had to truce break at the end, then farm prestige to enable the decision).I still had to disinherit my 2nd son, but beyond that, it was rather chill.Every time I got a revolt, I stripped all the rebels from their best title, then distribute it to Karling toddlers. Up to 16 years before they could join a faction, ample time for my successor to get rid of short reign penalties.

am i dumb or do none of the musical tracks have any dynamic weightingi keep on getting byzantine and mongol music wherever i play
Been trying to just roleplay characters recently but I really can't get myself to stick to it... I always just end up trying to min max everything and do whatever cheesing mechanics and whatnot are available to get everything to as close as possible to "perfect" as I can and I hate that.Although, by the looks of it, having less traits that sort of just round down your personality can help with roleplaying to some extent since it makes it easier to just keep up with what the character is supposed to be like. I remember playing CK2 with some mods that added a bunch of new different traits and the issue there was that the character viewer was now just hyper cluttered and all the traits were no longer properly seen since they would overlap to make more space. So whenever you would try to pick an option or do something specific around the world, you would just do it as yourself since you couldn't properly keep track of what your character is supposed to be like.Still, I can't seem to be able to get myself to stick to it. Maybe it's because I turn the music off and just listen to some other stuff in the background while playing as well, so perhaps that distracts me from actually immersing and roleplaying as I should, but regardless, I hate the fact I can't just get myself to play the game like that and make it more interesting.

>>2134735Well supposedly EU5 improved greatly with the recent update so maybe they had similar crap going here.

I like to think the Outremor Camel Cavalry are like horse archers with javelins instead of arrows and the Heavy Cavalry, while still staying close enough to give orders, swoops in to smash in to the softened up enemy because of the whole smell fuckery they do to them IRL>>2134861This is a really weird thing to complain about but Ck3 looks uglier than Ck2. I don't know how that's possible.
>>2134866No yeah, I agree.And I can't quite describe it
>>2134867The land is softer and lacks detail in comparison to the rough map of CK2. Instead of contrasting, borders just melt together.
>>2134866>I like to think the Outremor Camel Cavalry are like horse archers with javelins instead of arrows and the Heavy Cavalry, while still staying close enough to give orders, swoops in to smash in to the softened up enemy because of the whole smell fuckery they do to them IRLLooking into the values, Camel Cavalry has the same skirmish value as Horse Archers but a higher melee at the expense of worse defense and pursue, which makes sense because camels are slower than horses and getting one armored up is impossible with the humps on its back.So it basically is how I described it.
>>2134861>Anon creating HIP for CK3
>>2134874I couldn't get into HIP. CK2+ is exactly what its namesake implies, and I fucking love it. HIP for some retarded reason forces things to go they went historically because that's just how it's supposed to go. Did you actually play a historical strategy game simulator for changing how history went????
>>2134874Ehh, not quite, certainly lesser in scope.>>2134875You could turn off the railroading via a game rule; but I actually never experienced any egregious railroading. Was that only for 867?
>>2134876All I remember was trying out Eastern Europe and the Magyar's getting a 10k+ doomstack out of fucking nowhere with no maintenance cost, which they then resound used to burn my petty kingdom to the ground for chump change
>>2134876what is your scope anyhow?
lol, what the fuckvisigothic denmark and my dynasty somehow managed to get elected into it
>>2134878It's ever changing to be honest. The mod started out as a simple localization fix. The "Duchy of Flanders" being renamed to the "County of Flanders" etc. While at it, I decided to also add more duchies, so that internal borders wouldn't immediately 'clump' together in a mega-champagne, mega-burgundy, etc.Decided to do roughly the same for the HRE, allowing it to disintegrate internally in the long term. (Got the idea of titular stem duchies from SWMH) Fixing some minor and major historical inaccuracies, like the female prince-bishop of Frankfurt, along the way. Also, added a couple of formables here and there. Then, recently, I decided to redraw the Belgian province borders because I couldn't stand the mangled vanilla ones. The rest of the vanilla province map, with some exceptions, is not as bad as the low countries were, so I'm not really planning on redrawing the entirety of Europe.
>>2134890In short, not a competely new map like SWMH, no new mechanics like EMF. Just a couple redraws here and there and increased historicity.
>>2134890>>2134894I admire your autism.
>>2134895I appreciate it. >>2134877Well, that seems to fall under the railroading game rule

God, forgive me. I did not want my time to pass as there is always much to do here. And I could not resist such a bright young maiden gifted in warfare as well as faith.
>>2134890>female prince-bishop of Frankfurt,PDX obsession with maxime female rulers is insaneJesus Christ, why are the Irish using male-preference? There are extremely patrilineal clans.
>>2134982This specific outing of their weird obsession with putting female rulers where there weren't any is just one part of their total disregard of historicity in regards to internal borders. Franconia is a complete and utter mess in vanilla CK3, having random known courtiers who were involved in the Investiture struggle hold large swathes of land, surely for the sole reason as to allow players to play as these 'iconic' characters. All while sneaking massive oversights that go unfixed for 5 years at this point.Compare the 1066 vassal setup in my mod (left) to vanilla's (right), especially in Franconia (the center duchy), which, despite having to take liberties as well, I'd argue mine is much more accurate/justifiable.
>>2134982>>2135003Forgot to add, but this is 100% an artifact from them doubling the province count in the HRE. More province density is pretty neat, of course, but PDX didn't bother at all with the new title histories. They just fully copied CK2's history for the existing counties, and then duplicated that history for the nearest newly-added counties; with maybe some last-minute 1066.1.1 additions of the aforementioned female power kweens and courtiers (without changing the liege, which is how you get that weird Lotharingian tumour into Franconia)

Why can't we have an entirely different game for China (like it was back in the day with Sengoku), instead of cramming it all to CK3, which is already a bloated and unfocused mess?
>>2135730Because shit like Sengoku and March of the Eagles is flop central and they're only looking for easy chink buns like with Jade Dragon.
>>2135730>SengokuSengoku first wasnt a china game, it was japan game. And second, it wasn't aimed ar japanese, it was aimed at westoids because westoids are dumb and only know about sengoku jidai. If anything, what I want is a grand strategy set in mythical era of japan when gods and heroes and legendary emperors walked around, unfortunately, PDX and its playerbase are too soulless for that.
>>2135730>paradrones have stockholm/Södermalm syndrome and want it in ck3>mongols bridged the gap between east and west during the period>paradox found out how to make landless gameplay work in CK3, so trying to replicate it for a whole new title would be redundant>a new game would split team allocations, so CK team would rather have 30 people they can point towards china for a month then go back to europe, rather than have two teams of 15 people who are solely working on ck3/huangdi projects
>>2135790>Sengoku first wasnt a china game, it was japan game.He was just saying it was a game focused in a single area.
>>2135814>a new game would split team allocations, so CK team would rather have 30 people they can point towards china for a month then go back to europe, rather than have two teams of 15 people who are solely working on ck3/huangdi projectsIt would've been a non-issue if they were to use the old model with releasing the game and then moving on to the next game, but I guess it would be taxing when you have to milk every game dry with DLCs and literally reinvent it every 3-5 years to keep things moving and money flowing.>>2135863Yes. Bring back Svea Rike!
>>2135781>is flop centralThey flopped not because of the idea, but execution.
>>2135885>gamble yet again with one of the biggest markets instead of using a somewhat workable base
>>2135925>gamble yet again with one of the biggest marketsAren't PDX games get banned in China everytime they have independent Tibet in them? Therefore it's a priori not for "the biggest market", but for their usual base, which I believe remains more or less the same over the years.
>>2135963Diaspora also makes a big chunk of the Chinese playerbase, and there would obviously be a smaller subset willing to play a game entirely localized in China. It's just not worth it.
>>2135963PDX found a loophole where they can sell the DLC for the game separately from the game itself. The DLC isn't banned so Chinese players can just buy the DLC and they will get the game automatically from it. That's how there are Chinese HOI4 players on Bilibili.
>>2135963afaik the only Paradox games that were ever banned in China were HoI, and it's not because of Tibet, it's because the Chinese government doesn't like the Chinese Civil War being portrayed as having multiple factions. They think all of the warlord states should be part of or subject to the KMT. They don't give a fuck about portrayals of medieval Tibet at all
>>2135974You seem to think that nobody would care about the "Chinese offshoot of CK" because it's "Chinese", while I believe that a significant chunk of players will put the emphasis first and foremost on "CK" part. There is genuine interest about have CK-style games in different eras and settings: hell, the main reason why CK2 have endured such popularity over the years is because of total conversion mods, and the only reason those exist is because PDX can't (in case of other intellectual properties) or won't (like with other regions/historical periods, e.g. aforementioned Japan, where you have to get NMIH mod for CK2 in order to get a proper PDX grand strategy experience simply because Sengoku was essentially left in a broken state) make those games themselves. Also, what happened with PDX licensing their older engine to third-party developers and publishing offshoot games? It is how we got For the Glory, Darkest Hour and Arsenal of Democracy, and I bet that a fair share of people would love to get their hands on Clausewitz circa EU3:DW/Vicky2 era.>>2136000Quite fascinating. Nevertheless, I assume the ban itself still hurtful to PDX, because in order to buy DLCs you have to actually be aware of the base game, so under those conditions it's hard to establish any significant player base; therefore the point of >>2135925 "gamble yet again with one of the biggest markets" is essentially moot.>>2136009>it's not because of Tibet, it's because the Chinese government doesn't like the Chinese Civil War being portrayed as having multiple factions. They think all of the warlord states should be part of or subject to the KMT.But why? This seems outright silly.Besides, Tibet is also independent in HoI, not to mention their flag, which is banned in PRC (which is funny, because PDX won't kowtow before the Chinese in that regard, but still never include a certain German friendly windmill flag).
Is there a point in playing landless after you get all your upgrades? I feel like the only late game possibility is to usurp a duchy but then you wasted generations building a huge mercenary army that you can not longer afford and your duchy was not properly cultivated by a human
>>2136023>which is banned in PRC (which is funny, because PDX won't kowtow before the Chinese in that regard, but still never include a certain German friendly windmill flag).Pretty sure that's because of German law, Germany didn't change their law about swastikas in video games until 2018, years after HOI4 came out. Hitler himself was also censored and given a pure black portrait in the German version of the game. Theoretically HOI4 could add the swastika flag in an update and HOI5 could have the swastika flag without interference from the new German law.
china in ck3 is good because I can larp as the Sassanids in exile in China of Peroz III's line and install a Sassanid Chinese Emperor and introduce Zoroastrianism with Chinese characteristics into the religious fold
>>2136036The main thing is that they're willing to get banned in China, but afraid to get one in Germany, which speaks volumes about where their "biggest market" is.
>>2134890The Harz and Teutoburg being amorphous blobs of impassable terrain comparable to the Alps is so fucking infuriating to me and fits exactly with what this anon said >>2134869>>2135003Is your mod on Steam?
>>2136023Some autists making mods barely a fraction of the player base plays does not equate good projected sales. Paradox is a publicly traded company, they're always gonna play it as safe as possible if they can. A lazy pandering DLC for one of their main games is just that much better financially than a niche standalone game that runs a risk of flopping and is gonna need its own dedicated post-release dev cycle to perform nearly as well as they'd want it to. We've even already seen them pull the plug on a modern successor of one of their old spin-offs after it did not perform to their expectations. >b-but it was because it was bad not because-Bad games are all they're making.>because in order to buy DLCs you have to actually be aware of the base gameChinks are very well-aware of CK3 and do a lot of mods for it. One of their most popular ones is even doing the exact same thing AUH is doing. You just don't get to see them often because they self-segregate to Chinknet. >Also, what happened with PDX licensing their older engine to third-party developers and publishing offshoot games?Massed DLCs took over the job of milking a game beyond its expiration date more reliably. There's also the matter of Paradox getting burned one time too many. Magna Mundi and East vs West are the ones that the public got to hear of, but Johan offhandedly mentioned that there were as many as one hundred teams signing up for OG Victoria and you can see how many of them delivered.
>>2136157>Harz and TeutoburgYou mean those little bits of impassible mountains in Germany? Those never actually bothered me but now that you mentioned them, I fail to see their purpose. I think the Alps being as they are is more egregious. It's fine that they're impassible of course, but them being these square blobs just egregiously messes up the borders, especially around Carinthia and Tirol. They should've broken up those huge chunks into smaller ones IMO.>>2136157>Is your mod on Steam?Yeah, it's called More Accurate Counts & Dukes.
>>2136029I mean if you're still having fun then yes. I have a wandering thief group thats been going about 60 years and ive had fun just wandering around stealing relics and murdering/capturing people to shake things up. And if you're having fun turning the tides of war with an elite doomstack then why not. Related to that, have they added anything fun for scholar camps for later stage stuff? Maybe im just not smart enough but i never seem to have fun with that camp type that i cant just do with a merc or freebooter, and also the traveler one seems kinda boring too.
>>2136208I forgot to mention you can also use it as a little bit of an "active observer" so you can let the game sim while you build up and see if anything interesting pops up.
So much botting in this thread. So many politefags being too polite even for a blue board. I guess the real anons even abandoned the blue boards. Faggot bot operators think we can't tell. Also inb4 bot tries to prove not being a bot by insulting me in a sterile and mechanical way thus proving my point.

>>2136023people want to play CK, a smaller subset wants to play CK but with a smaller scope. Just look at overhaul mods, they're popular sure but not everyone plays it. And that is the problem, it's a waste of dev resources to make a spinoff that has to do all the mechanics from scratch and doesn't benefit from the dev time put into CK3 at all. It's just far more lucrative to slap on China to CK3
>>2136247you're a schizophrenic nigger
>>2136023>Also, what happened with PDX licensing their older engine to third-party developers and publishing offshoot games?East Versus West, Magna Mundi, March of the Eagles happened. All broken messes and financial strains that tarnished the Paradox brand.
>>2136195>More Accurate Counts & Dukes.Does it work with rice?
>>2136347Yeah, seems totally fine
>>2134982>PDX obsession with maxime female rulers is insaneThe "grand title to local noble" button has generated female rulers for as long as the button existed, and Paradox will never fix it.
>>2136520At this point, I'm wondering why they even pretend to care about history.Like Muslim inheritance is broken since Clan-system was introduced and alllows women to inherit.Female rulers can lead their own troops. Why not just stop the pretense and just get rid of male-preference altogether and give everyone equal inheritance as the only option?
>>2136539to addHistorically, female rulers were at great disadvantage due to their husbands overruling them with coverture laws and their bastard cousins disputing their claims. Both Eleanor of Aquitaine and Mary the Rich of Burgundy had to marry a powerful husband because they would have likely been unable to hold onto their inheritance. In essence, female inheritance was considered "free real estate", e.g., prior to War of Austrian Succession, all European great powers swore to honor Maria Theresa's claim, but when she inherited, everyone betrayed her and invaded her lands. In CK3's only difference between male and female rulers is -10 vassal opinion bonus, which doesn't matter at all.
>>2136543>In CK3's only difference between male and female rulers is -10 vassal opinion bonus, which doesn't matter at all.Isn't also a lot easier to get claims on female rulers if you're male?
