what games heavily focused on economy can you recommend? I am thinking about buying Capitalism II (or Capitalism Lab). I am really looking for anything on PC that focused on one or some of the following: money, supply chain, logistics, etc. Preferably turn based but real time is OK too
The eternal default answer is GearCity.
Take a look at Wall Street Raider. Very involved stock market/investment stuff. Only issue is you can't really get the game because of their payment processor or whatever. They're trying to pretty it up and release on Steam.I seriously doubt there's a decent pirate version of such a niche game.
>>2154015There's always the original capitalism, but that's pretty much an objective downgrade from Capitalism Lab. It's obviously a lot lighter than what you're going for, but you might get a kick out of OpenTTD. You can mod it to add a large amount of resources that tie into various products that make the supply chain complexity a lot higher than just wood/oil = goods.Usually play more casual management games than what you seem to be going for, but I hope you find something that scratches your itch!
>>2154015Check out Simutrans Extended instead of OpenTTD. Where it is typically much harder to turn a good profit. With good graphs to help you get an overview. Extended just adds extra autism. Especially to trains and their tracks.
>>2154364thanks I am gonna honestly try this original Capitalism - just for simplicities sake
Why can I only sell four different items in my supermarkets in Capitalism? I want inventory and stock management with thousands of items.
Solar Settlers
Honestly tempted to make a text only game that meetings my eco-tism then perhaps tack on a basic map/ui

Capitalism II is a really good supply chain and business sim, but it doesn't have logistics or detailed factory/store layoutsFree Enterprise has good detail on a single factory, layout supplying, employees, supply chain, but no logistics.Factorio is like a modern Free Enterprise with logistics but no business management.Railroad Tycoon 3 and OpenTTD/Simutrans are good logistics sims but lack in business and simple supply chains.Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic covers everything, but it's also contained so most of the game will be spent designing the city since you won't be competing for anything. Victoria 3 is a idler clicker game posing as an economy game.Gearcity is mainly a car building simulator and the actual business management is very simple.Prison Architect is the best management sim, but lacks the other things. The greatest game ever would combine all these games, but I am not aware of anything that does.

>>2154015>>2154219This, gear city is king but it only dwelves on the management of a business. Still very deep. If you want the true experience try avoiding walkthroughs. The game is rough and you WILL go bankrupt very quickly the moment you put a foot wrong, especially in the early game. The same dev is currently working on an airline business tycoon that I'm really excited about, and he probably will release it given that GearCity was a financial disaster but he kept working on it for more than a decade now.
