Thanks for reminding me. Just installed and played the first mission as Germans. Damn I miss those AA games of old. Colorful, verbose, great music and this one has some great destruction. No idea why BK2 isn't liked, guess I'll find out when I play some more, or maybe not, but considering the series classics are now all open source, great things could happen. Imagine having the scale that Sudden Strike 2 has, but without the micro tedium.Also, I'm surprised that BK2 can go up to 4k with widescreen support. Guess, I won't be playing much Gates of Hell in the coming days.
How do these games work, you have a set amount of units and you need to complete all the objectives with those units? or you and the enemy get reinforcements after you lose them?
>>2154925so make warhammer 40k mod on it
>>2155635Yes and yes. Depends on the mission. They usually give reinforcements for bigger missions.>>2155600I think it had AI problems.
>still no Sudden Strike sourceport;_;
Didn't this happen a while back? Or am I thinking about Blitz 1? Either way, nice! Hope we get some fun projects out of this.

>>2154925Somethiabout BK2 that I just couldn't get into. Loved BK1, played it to hell and back vanilla and with mods, but BK 2 simply failed to grab me. While the first game and expansions in the series looked and played great despite their flaws, second one looked too cartoony and colorful, and infantry animation was too stylized. Infantry doing somersaults while dying, houses exploding in fireball when tanks bumped into them, etc.Gonna give it another go to see if I still have those feelings about BK2. If not, gonna go back to BK 1 Motherland Calls and CWC
>>2169183i think main issue with graphics is that you can clearly see assets there are still more fitting to 2D but they went 3D which made them look bad even when compared to 1 which at least felt like it had nice art style
