RTS split up into a thousand different genres. RTS is not a meta-genre anymore and now occupies a small niche. All modern RTS are Starcraft-likes now. Innovation has completely stopped. Even thinking about Warcraft 4 feels awkward. The franchise is in such a weird place. I can't imagine what blizzard could add. I know they added pointless races but I don't see how they could be new units or factions. Stormgate completely bundled one of their races but Zero Space looks decent.
