In other news my Colonial Ventures are going well.
Dalaire is mostly uncontested save for... Grombar, of course, on the outer islands. Broken Coast is about to get formed, the spawnables just turned on and I'm planning to launch some early Wars of Oppression once my Broken Coast nation spawns. I just finished vassalizing+integrating Zurzumexia and stomped Mestikardu so the Triarchy should be dead relatively soon.
I've snagged Westport and have plans to expand in Deranne and Sorncost if Grombar gives me some breathing room; I can easily 1v1 Lorent right now and Gawed is dead.
With some spare colonists - at one point I had 3 colonists - I was able to snag a lot of important trade nodes on the Sarhal Coast so I'm set up for basically a century of overseas trade node blobbing now, I just need the damned forcelimit to be able to have an army drilling/ready to respond to an attack from Grombar/suppressing rebellions and another one fighting colonial wars.

I'm really out of the loop, is there a big winter EU4 update in the making or are we not getting it this time with the Vic mod release? I can't imagine that the entire mod team suddenly transitioned to a different game

>>

It's okay, but because of how modifiers work it's less impactful than most of the other combat buffs. It is, however, pretty easy to stack
>>
Is there even a point to taking Exploration as Corvuria? I filled it out and colonized most of the Banished Isles before I realised that none of the trade routes actually reached my hub. Setting up a trade company innawoods seemed much more lucrative. The extra colonist has been useful for developing the marshlands I guess, but I could probably just have gotten Expansion and then removed it once I finished.

>Is there even a point to taking Exploration as Corvuria?

I wish Regent Court had a mechanic where you integrate new gods into the Court.
Big orcish RC nation? Petition to get Dookan recognized as a member.
Conquer Bulwar? Incorporate Surael as a member.
Rohibos? Sure, go ahead. Corin? Give her permanent membership while still following Adean. Kalyin? Agrados? Uelos? Yshtralania? Surely all of these deities can find some form of veneration within the Court.

>My MT makes me flip RC --> Corinite or eat 50-100 years of admin eff malus
Agonizing.
>>
>The First Corinite War, lasting from 1620 to 1645, was a gruelling conflict which saw most of the Empire of Anbennar engulfed in war, with the Corinite princes aided by Escanni ‘Crusaders’ joining their fight against the Adeanic forces in the Empire. Eventually the war reached a stalemate, and was resolved by the Peace of Esmaria, which confirmed the right of princes to choose their faith, and extended this privilege to all subjects of the Empire, instituting a religious peace.
So going by the recent mission tree changes that means the entirety of Escann, Verne, Istralore presumably the entirety of the Eastern empire were fought to a standstill by about 6 Pearlsedgers?

>>
>>2168250
Yea because the wretched Revelians are everywhere now
>>
My first time with the mod as Esthil and I've been enjoying it greatly but why is there so much hate for Corin? She ended the greentide and then ascended to the RC, brought in blood rains. Seems pretty reasonable for a god of blood compared to like Khorne or Khaine from Warhammer Fantasy.
>>
>>2168317
She's a w*man
>>
>>2168317
As in on here?
Woman.
But jokes aside people probably see it as a betrayal that she wants human and orc unity as it’s seen as a racial betrayal for what they did to Escann

>go regent court and then corinite
>>
>>2168250
Of all the religions, I still hate Kheionism the most.
>>
>>2168317
In the thread or in the MT? I don't like her because I hate the religious mechanics, the reformation in this game is OP as shit and everyone converts. plus after the 300th time you've dealt with her period raining down on your peace and development you get a grudge.
>>
>>2168325
The cope for some Corinites is that the end justifies the means and all this for one day achieving peace. That’s where you get unironic lich lord corinites

That being said enslaving orcs at all is not very Corin approved, she had an orc and a half orc in her circle after all

Really, in their MT? I’ve seen them do all kinds of things including Infernal Court and that dark mage cult
>>
>>2168341
If I remember right the Infernal Court flip is after they flip to Corinite, also optional.
>>
Is this it? Is this all dwarfs do? Sit around and stare at colonizers?

In the Serpentspine you definitely need a tolerance for sitting around. You can play Verkal Ozovar for a game with less sitting around. Silverforge too.

>>
>>2168366
>>2168367
Shazstundihr and Ovdal Tungr get to fuck around in Bulwar, one through direct conquest and the other through vassalizing everyone with Israeli debt trap schemes
>>
>>2168317
Serious answer: she's the daughter of Agrados, the exiled rapist war god turned Satan of the Regent Court, and within a hundred years of joining starts a war in heaven over taking over the chief seat after it turns out Castellos is dead. A seat which, to reiterate, she has no right to because Agrados was exiled. This leads to League Wars which kill millions. She causes period blood rain over most of eastern Cannor and probably killed the soul of the Orcish race when she slew Dookanson (and fucked up the time itself in order to do so). All of her followers are evil, varying from Istralore's mundane "imma use this religion as an excuse to usurp power in the empire" to Grombar's exotic "rape as state policy" to whatever the fuck is going in with the adventurer formables. And worst of all, she paves the way for Ravelianism, which is r*ddit atheism mixed with freemasonry and worship of a Precursor phylactory.
>>
why don't people hate the infernal court as much as corinites
>>
What do they actually mean by Castellos being dead? Aren’t all the gods in this humans who rose to heaven?
>>
>>2168416
There’s no smoke and mirrors, they’re literally unapologetic satanists.
>>
>>2168413
>worship of a Precursor phylactory.
Doesn't it claim to predate the Precursors?
>>
>>2168416
Going by in-game mechanics Regent Court hates Infernal Court and Corinite equally since they're both heretic religions. I do find it strange that Infernal Court doesn't have its own additional relation modifier because I find it hard to believe Catholics would accept Satanists as readily as they would Protestants.
>>
>>2168417

Don’t you get a free CB on Infernal Court countries as if they were a witch king?

>>2168522
Yeah, that does sound right. I think you get War Against Evil which is a really good CB. So I guess that's the relation modifier I want. I just didn't think about it from my perspective on the run I flipped to it. I was still expecting a relation malus or something, it was easy to get RC and Corinite people to not hate me as IC.
>>
Any nation recommendations? Was thinking trying Nimscodd

How the hell are you meant to play this country? I've started twice now and both times the Khet declare war on my useless ally/country I'm meant to diplo vassalize in a few years since they've for some reason deleted their entire army while I'm busy dealing with Eborthil.
>>
>>2169271
This is just a general piece of advice for fighting outnumbered/staggering large enemies (Kobolds v Lorent/Gawed, Feiten v Bianfang, Anyone v Command)
When the war is declared, check what the max cash you can get from them is. Consider that your "budget" for the war and buy mercs/above forcelimit so that you can kill their manpower above that point.

As-is, it looks like you're gonna need to galley spam, invade eborthil, more-or-less ignore Kheterata, and then peace them out and figure out where you go from there. But also, it's 1447 - I personally would reroll until the Nirakhet war goes a bit longer, and likely wait to ally Brrtkuh until after the Eborthil War.
>>
The most important thing in early-game is that you fill combat width with a stack. Then it's just hunting whatever the AI is dumb enough to split off until you can win in a regular fight.
>>
or if you get a war wizard you can just throw him at a stack and auto win

using colonists to dev is never efficient, it's just better to use the money to have better advisors, The dev you gain is negligible and you can't build buildings on the land while you're "deving" with a colonist.
The rate of dev gain that you get with colonist scales negatively with the existing dev on the provence, if the rate of dev gain was flat then colonist deving might actually be worth it for high dev provinces

deving is already cheaper in anbennar due to racial pop modifiers on provinces, it's completely doable as you're going to have a 6 6 6 immortal vampire mage ruler
get your transmutation up for ruler stat boosts and homunculus advisors for extra 1 monthly mana in each and extra advisor buff
just play them like you would in a mp game
temple rights + infra + burgher loyalty + divination (for apc) + prosperity + dev edict = cheap deving

rich subterranean is where the underground vegetation is luscious
warm subterranean is where the underground is close to magma vents so it's extra hot

Because they're buckbroken humans who'd rather be eternal 2nd class citizen under the hobs? They literally rebelled against the human coalition when it conquered Jiangdu from the Dragon Command. Also the fact that by Victoria times Yanshen has been quasi-unified in their attempts to fought off the Command for nearly half a millenia, there's no chance that Hobgoblins and Wuhyuns are going to just get off scot-free, when the elves had been massacred because of way less.

>>2168126
why wouldn't you stay old dookan, objectively one of the strongest religions in the game?
>>
>>2170281
The Frozenmaw MT rework essentially railroads you into Regent Court. It's honestly killed such a fun nation/area for me.
You start the game with a malus to faith points generation that can be mitigated to only -15%, but because your religious unity is shit being Frozenmaw and you can't afford Religious until like tech 7, you're gonna spend ~40 years converting provinces to Old Dookan. By the time you do that, you'll be halfway down your MT.
It changes every province with a half-orc pop into RC and then your leader converts your national religion into RC. This mission is required to complete the MT, otherwise you get the pre-MT orc mechanics of "reform your government at -30% reformprogress modifier before you can click Become Country button at Tech 7, otherwise, take -50% admin efficiency for 50 years." The only way to remove this malus is to go through the entire reformprogress at -30 or complete the Frozenmaw MT.

I ragequit at that point, because the Grombar MT isn't changed and Grombar railroads you into being Corinite with the Grombari Wars of Religion mechanic later in the game.

The only way to not suffer through Old Orc Mechanics and remain Old Dookan is to rebelflip, which is basically one step away from console commanding anyways.

grombar is cringe anyways

>>2170369
you blob ibevar and corvuria and you basically get to event annex the magisterium (hope the ai does the missions for the tower and the trade good swaps but it probably won't bc the ai is dogshit at completing their missions)
The start is super slow and inconsistent bc you start as a vassal to the emperor (who will be ai unless this is a coop campaign) and alot of missions are time gated behind ravelian and winning x amount of wars for the emperor (ai super inconsistant about deccing war)
if you're willing to abuse console commands, it's not bad
>>
>>2170354
Zokka and devour the sun.
>>
>>2170354
Toarnaire -> Roilsard -> Lorent
>>
>>2170287
This is ON TOP OF the Frozenmaw Rework being effectively a nerf to Frozenmaw, with most of its missions serving as a cash drain and monarch point drain.
Dev forest provinces while being an orc administration (because you weren't strapped for monarch points already with Brasur dying in 1451)
Build barracks on 5-dev provinces in 1470 because your land is super productive at this point (entire economy consists of 1 gold mine, you are on ADM tech 4 if you're lucky)
Basically all claims on Gerudia gone from the tree, enjoy unjustified demands or spyspamming
>>
>>2170369
>>2170390
desu I liked the theme of the MT as a disgraced order getting revenge on Wex and the mages but I wasnt a fan of them turning their back on their entire faith to worship the cube
>>
>>2170414
I mean you get to usurp the ravelian state, keep all your mil modifiers and get access to the ravelian state mt, but at that point the game isn't fun unless it's MP bc you should have outscaled every ai on the map
Also if you're immortal (very easy with culture shift to elf as you blob ibevar), you just stay rectorate controller the entire time
Having a powerful mage isn't even that bad the -50% artifice cap is nothing if you have artificery early, as finishing a research gives artificer capacity before 1650
I find that I always have capacity left over even with maxxed out invention slots (10 slots)

You're gonna be locked as an OPM until tech 10 realistically, and AE in EoA is so heavy that you're effectively forced to dev. Your early ruler starts dogshit but he's 23 so he'll be 6/6/6 for a long time. If you play the nation properly you'll have a 6/6/6 for majority of the campaign.
Blueheart's +10 ICA in the mission tree isn't make or break, but it helps a lot to go toe-to-toe with the continental giants or scare off the inevitable coalitions Pashaine will get conquering Dameria.

I honestly absolutely love "peaceful expansion", when you get vassals or land through mt without war
Cestirmark has it, Seghdihr has it with Verkal Gulan, Pashaine is formed diplomatically through a mission, Adshaw get a union over Vrorenmarch, Ovdal Tungr gets Crathanor... Who else?

But why did you post Sonic
>>
>>2170808
this same shit happened to Kaiserreich when it became too devbloated
anything remotely badguy coded got removed and every nation becomes a boring social democracy usually ruled by a feminist icon
>>
>>2170973
That's a survey of MT popularity, not the nation in it's whole, and as such, it's heavily skewed toward most recent releases.
Meanwhile, if you read the discord, the subreddit or these threads, there's 3 big topics that keep getting talked about, that keep getting memed off:
-Jaddari.
-Aelnar.
-Dwarfs as a whole.
>>
>>2170993
Hammerhome gets a free PU with Khugdihr
Vaengheim vassalizes their historical friend and steals Bjarnrik's vassal
Command can vassalize the Oni (this is one of the few peaceful things they can do)
>>
>>2170993
Verkal Ozovar has some of it early, I think you can consolidate your starting vassals and get one or two more without much war. Barlijin has strong focus on developing and puppeting your human allies in the blue scarf peasant country. You can give them all of Yanshen and then eventually unite peacfully. Hammerhome apparently gets some special form of union with that bank Hold in the north-east

But there ARE old tags in the top 30. Jaddari, Azkare, Castankr, 5 dwarf tags, Balrijin, Azjakuma, Rogieria, The Command.

Aelnar is talked about because the video that popularized the mod discussed it, not because Aelnar itself is good.

Who the hell are these guys? Uelaire doesn't even have a mission tree.

Basically, Uelos was god of the sea/sailing before Munas. And as of 1444 everyone who follows Uelos is a RC heretic.

They're unhinged in a fantastic way.

The religion uses Anglican mechanics, with the majority of it's bonuses affecting your navy or coastal provinces. It breaks once the crimson deluge happens because you don't get an option to clear the event at the start of it.
No tags use it yet, and I doubt a Uelaire or Lamentaire mission tree will ever make it out of development hell.

Kumarkand does this

That's actually what it's supposed to look like. It's not comparable to Antarctica.

Thanks, I gotta try Hammerhome sometime
I tried Vaengheim but wasn't really much interested in their theme

>>2171005
Definitely gotta try Verkal Ozovar and Balrijin. Too bad VO can't practically expand outside of Haless
>>
>>2171026
Uelos was a cannorian human god of the seas, but since RC pantheon was formed by Castanor they didn't think it necessary to add Uelos to the pantheon because they were away from coasts
>>
>>2171109
Hammerhome can dig in Marrhold. Don't take any land in the Serpentspine if you don't want Dwarf disasters to happen, give it to your bank vassal
Balrijin has decisions that tell their human vassal to declare wars

It is, with blackpowder anbennar I had the biggest army in the world without even taking quantity ideas, and crazy army quality with perpetual 100 tradition and 100 professionalism. I stopped giving a fuck about AE and had all of cannor be PISSED at me, but they were too scared to even attempt to form a coalition despite everyone from Lorent to Marrhold having like -300 relations with me from AE

Absolute powerhouse

By that point, your net pop should be only very slightly decaying, so you got some time to get Lorent (or someone else) to support you against other colonizers. The RNG is getting them to do it for "regime change in xxx" rather than "become their puppet", idk what makes the AI prefer one or the other.

Are any of the Aelnar ruinborn interesting or are they just wait til you get fucked by colonizers simulation

You should be able to contend with colonizers as most of the one with an MT.
>>
>>2171286
>get fucked by colonizers simulation
Unless you're playing a migratory tribe you should have your home region unified by the time they come, and most of the ruinborn start with or can easily get feudalism and then dev for renaissance. And adventurer countries are more dangerous than colonizers because they're not an ocean away and have huge force limits
>>
why do people praise kobolds
this shit is boring as fuck
>>
>>2171324
most kobold enjoyers are troons
be a man and play gnomes or reveria
>>
>>2171325
does being a troon stop you from staring at the wall until your truce expires with the 2 nations you can actually beat and/or any of the civilzed nations around you take your cores (directly or indirectly)
>>
Why is Aelantir nothing but elves, anyway? Not even any giantkin or kobolds or whatever? I know humans first appear in Bulwar, but surely there would have been some slaves the Precursors took that became free following the collapse of their owners' civilization.
