no international managementsemi-related pic
Sports interactive have proven yet again why they are, and I don’t use this word lightly, utter scumThey completely miss a year because adding women’s football and ps2 tier graphics was super duper important to them than international management in a fucking World Cup year or fixing the fact that you can win every competition in world football with a team of 100M sprint specialists who have never kicked a football in their fucking livesNow one of the devs is on the forum literally trolling the player base by posting the same wording they posted on fm24 beta release day I won’t give these fucking Jews a single penny more
>>2167572THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!
Thought the beta would come out today but looks like it'll be next week instead. Can't fucking wait to get my beta save going, women's football isn't ready for me.
>>2167542You forgot /trb/ in the title.
>>2167939This, I almost missed the thread
This is an official request to the FA to postpone the cup final because all my squads periods have synced up and they’re all on right now
Men’s player interactions>you have signed another player in my position and I’m worried about my minutes going forward>don’t worry, with European football this season we need added squad depth and you will still be my first choice right winger as promised in your contract>thanks boss, I feel a lot better nowWomen’s player interactions>im fine. It’s fine. Ugh, it’s just you never listen to me >what’s wrong?>ugh. Nothing. It’s fine>player slams office door on the way out and the morale of half the squad tanks to dark red
Can’t wait to spend 9 seasons building the most successful dynasty in women’s football only to be sacked by a random event where you get #MeToo’d following an awkward interaction with a reserve player. All the media items say you should never work again and the social media items are all just death threats from Americans. Your reputation resets to 0 and your man management rating goes to 0 as well

>>2168120Can you give a good rogering to the female players to bost morale?
For anyone who missed it from the last thread, here's the leaked FM26 main menu from a Twitch streamer with access to the alpha version.
>>2168306They probably make you play as a black guy managing women’s teams until you unlock white characters and men’s football
>>2167572lmaoYour tactical decisions dont even matterthe shouts are just busywork
>>2168211no, YOU delete those
>>2168306Training was probably the worst addition in terms of how much people seemed to want it for years and how little it could possibly contribute to the core gameplay loop no matter what SI did with it
https://youtu.be/exOIPMzj3Gscanada out-boong'dthe colonies can into football
lol
>introduce slagball>take match shouts out>cant inspire da lasses to a win from behind>cant hurl abuse when they are being shitcuntsman idk if i want to play
>>2170005watch them remove throwing the water bottle
fuck it I'm preordering
>>2170806Chad. Looks like the beta is coming this week, I'm excited.
>>2167542as one of them, I'm more ashamed of this than the lolocaust
Do you guys actual play as international managers? I always found it to be a huge waste of time
>>2171477It's not even remotely fun, the implementation is horrible and it feels like they've ignored it for years. Though adding women's football and removing international management at the same time is a pretty big failure, I'd like to know more about the internal discussions at SI about it.
there are still international games, callups, caps injuries etc in the game rightwill there be a way to see the results/stats from these matches?
The beta is out today right?
>>2171637Yeah, pretty sure it's just the ability to be an international manager that is removed.>>2171666Based on past years it might be next week
>only play even numbered years>26 will be a mess>have to wait til 28
>>2171666I think Thursday this week or sometime next, I'd be surprised if they drop the beta without doing a reveal for the new leagues
>>2171756shut up you bender it's today
>>2171772
is the beta open for everyone or just pre-order goyim
>>2171802Just the pre-order chads. Picture is you when the beta drops.
>>2171802Always just preorders
>>2171830>>2171831darn, i'm not buying this one but i'd give it a go if beta was open
uhguys
>>2172294Based, fuck mancs
>>2167870Bro, they won't sleep with you
The tactic changes are really intriguing but I'm refusing to buy this first version on Unity.
Saw this on Twitter
>>2172294So, uh, when was the last time there wasn't a Greater Manchester team in the top flight?
Epic have leaked the beta to start on the 23rd
>>2164880Some day, I will get an English player good enough to start at least during fixture congestion games.
You expected a studio who couldn’t even release their annual release game last year to be able to release the beta in time? Kek. Imagine what a goy you need to be to keep giving these retards moneyBut wow it’s got ps2 graphics and womeme football now! They still haven’t fixed the fact that pace is literally all that matters in the match engine. It’s literally fifa but without a good multiplayer mode with ps2 tier graphics and you can’t control the players. Just sign PAAAAAAAACE and press sim
Devs trolling fans in the forums, followed by finding out features will be missing through Korean publications (int'l management in a WC year no less), no gameplay, 1 month of promo and all we have is 15 mins worth of videos and couple of blogs.... to then completely black out on social media for a week and comeback, not even with any sort of feature or quality of life improvements but what seems like a pre-delay announcement.... Unacceptable. I'm starting to get the feeling that, at best, we'll only get FM26 in December, almost halfway through the season. The fact they aren't calling it "Advanced Access" but "Advanced Access Beta" is telling
https://www.eurogamer.net/brace-yourselves-football-manager-fans-ive-played-a-day-of-fm26-and-its-going-to-take-a-lot-of-getting-used-toEmbargo lifted. Still some shirt decisions >You now pick three coaching styles from a choice of nine (Attacking, Defensive, Developer, Energetic, Entertainer, Pragmatist, Specialist, Systems Builder, and Tactician), and three mental styles from a choice of six (Driven, Disciplined, Resilient, Convincing, Inspirational, Accomplished). These then determine your ratings for individual coaching attributes>But here's a snag: there's no 'back' button within the windows. Here's an example of where that causes a problem: I was in the team dynamics induction pop-up, featuring a series of pages of (slightly verbose) information on how the system works, where I get to one showing me tiles within this window on a few of my key leaders in the squad. Let's say I want to click on one of those to see the player in more detail - I wanted to see a bit more info on Bruno Fernandes' leadership potential to decide who'd be my captain. What happens next? Within the window you're taking to Bruno's page, but there's no way to get back to where you were in the induction. So you have to close the whole window, then find the not-email in your not-Inbox that prompted the induction, and work your way back to where you were in that.NO BACK BUTTON MILES?
https://www.radiotimes.com/technology/gaming/football-manager-26-preview-exclusive/>While some of it is just the little things that were nice to have, but not a necessity, plenty of them felt like quite large oversights.>If you make a substitution in a match, then click a player profile before confirming it, all of your substitutions are reverted.>If you try to make a sub by dragging players along the scrolling bar to the right of your tactics page, the bar no longer scrolls – you have to line up the names perfectly, or otherwise move players multiple times just to get them on the pitch.>Sometimes, a menu I opened simply didn't have a back button, forcing you to go all the way back to the dashboard and make your way back to where you were.>I am also confident that by the time we get to FM27 and FM28, the creases will be ironed out, and we will have a definitive, best ever version of Football Manager to enjoy.>But while not so bad as to cancel it, the growing pains of the Unity switch do appear to be hitting FM26 as we approach release.>More than two decades on from the switch to Football Manager, there are still plenty of people who have chosen to stick with their beloved Championship Manager, and I think we're about to see that happen again.
>>2173997>followed by finding out features will be missing through Korean publications (int'l management in a WC year no less)Brother they announced that international management wasn't going to be in the game like a year ago
>>2174020They specifically said it wouldn’t be in fm25 but would return improved for fm26Since then they cancelled fm25 and once again removed int management in 26 just to add womeme football and ps2 era graphics My oh my
Noticed this on DrBenjy's stream the other day, this is the name of the alpha version going around. Can't find anything else about it.
Breaking: in order to give the team at SI more time to remove potentially game-breaking bugs the release of the beta has been delayed until January 2026. Also men’s club football is being removed with a view to returning in fm27 to give the team more time to iron out the features
lads I might cancel my pre-order
>>2174179Anyone who pre-orders this year, after they let you pre-order fm25 before cancelling it, is an absolute mongI pre-order games all the time and pre-ordered every fm since 2018 but like fuck would I pre-order from them any more
Last time I bought one of these was FM18. I've been itching to play for a few months and really been looking forward to the new edition. I can put up with some missing features but ngl it's looking really bleak.I don't want to become a glorified beta tester for later editions but I really need my fix.
>>2174200Bro, just boot up FM18 and run through 7 or 8 seasons on holiday mode then pick it up in 2025. You'll have more fun that way
Numbers are the pre-tournament world ranking.
https://x.com/FootballManager/status/1979186012216594800International management will be a free data patch next year. No real reason to get this game on release.
>>2174200There's a crack for FM23 somewhere and the huge deal about this specific version (and FM24 too) is the fact you can transfer your save to FM26.
You can’t call a sports game where pace and acceleration are the only attributes that matter “strategy”What next? A thread for EA FC? In fact at least in FC dribbling matters as well as pace so it’s a more accurate football simulation
Pretty big announcement NGL, definitely makes me feel better about the game after their last statement
>>2174866I'm honestly surprised by this, I thought it was properly gone
>>2174888>physicality matters in sports and you can't be an unmoving fat slob just wobbling on the pitchnooo save me niggerman
>>2175732No one said physicality shouldn't matter, just that it shouldn't be the only thing that matters.
>>2175739And it isn't, so what are you on about?
>>2175845It is. Numerous tests have found that to be the case.
>>2175847Maybe you should go reread the test results or look up what "only" means in the dictionary, anon.
They’ve made newgen faces even worse so we can’t beat off to women newgens
>>2175850These are terrrible lol, the men look a little better this year (especially with no shit on their faces) but the women look like troons

Leaker is BenBryant1777 on X, he's sharing lots of pictures from the alpha and has very negative opinions of the game so far.

>>2175850the thing i dont get is that the faces actually looked good back in like fm10 but they fucked it upwhy can't they just go back to that
>>2176001Very funny to me that FM nerds (people on forums, then Zealand and his Charlie Kirk head) identified this as a good use case for generative AI-slop like five years before it became big
>>2176086>like five years before it became bigAI-slop has been a thing for a long time now. Were you on 4chan during the summer of Floyd?
I think I'm gonna get a refund on my pre-order. This game looks ass, hopefully they get rid of Milesberg. Ideally the Saudis buy SI as well as FIFA and take out all the gay retarded shit.
>>2176105I'm thinking the same, I just want to see what the pre-game editor is like.
Sometimes I go read the FM reddit and every time I see some people excited to see the new game engine
I have a feeling the content creators are desperately trying to get permission from SI to release their embargoed videos sooner before the entire game is leaked lol.
Do I still just get all the Adama Traores of the world on my team and hit Continue?
>>2176105agreed
>>2176241Yes, match engine isn't changing drastically
>>2176302At least the graphic is nice, there's always next year for the game engine improvement!
I’m still playing 23
They can never change the power of pace because the whole database is built on it. Lower league players are unrealistically slow.
So they copy paste the entire code into unity and then just did the yearly UI changes like every release?
>>2174814
>>2177238this is next summer's result
>>2177389It definitely isn't, because in my save, Ronaldo retired in 2024, got hired to manage Manchester United, and then got them relegated going into the world cup.
>>2177236That's how they thought it would work, yes. But it didn't, so they've spent 6 years fixing that copy-pasting of code instead of actually adding anything to the game.
>>2177395holy BASED
could what's happened to Liverpool this season realistically happen in FM?
>>2178044It happens all the time. Or do you mean to the player? Yeah if you're as bad as Slot
>>2174001> there's no 'back' button within the windowspurpose built from the ground up to piss me off
Beta when
>>2178652What if they announce it and release it today..
>>2178652i thought it was coming wednesday?
Epic showed it as thursday
I'll tune in
Post your beta save and first true save. I'm thinking Everton or Forest for beta, then Vitesse long term
i'm not buying
>>2178893London City Lionesses for the beta, probably will continue that women's focused saved into the main release and turn it into a journeyman at some point
>>2178923I actually forgot about womens football already, might swap my beta to that then. I wouldn't dream of keeping a beta save though
>>2178893I think Newcastle will be fun for a couple of seasons. I don't want to deal with major squad issues in the beta.
>>2178976If you want to start an English women's save I suggest either London City Lionesses in the WSL or Durham in the second division.
>>2178891You asked for a playthrough and they delivered.FM26 will be the best FM yet
Faces look like fallout new vegas. Why are they always like 15 years behind?
I can never tell with the new format if my league stage is harder than average or not.
So they've changed coaching attributes to words instead of numbers. Why not do the same for player attributes too?
>>2179158Yeah was thinking this, so many people like those moneyball mods and stuff
Also its mad watching jared bowen controlling himself :D
>MUH UNITYFuck off Miles you cunt. I want MORE spreadsheets
>>2179101You are mentally unwell.
>"even if you've played this for 20/30 years please do the tutorial">"Newer players will adapt easier to the new UI"Zoomer brain rot UI detected. Miles has killed this game.
