Where did Ixion go wrong?
>>
It was basicaly a ps2 ps3 linear adventure game formula but as a management game
The presentation was pretty strong but the gameplay loop wasnt built for more than one playthrough and therefore it didnt had much replayability to generate buzz
>>
It's Frostpunk (a visual novel) in space.
and the colony ship has some icky jew name
>>

too strict requirements, not enough freeform problem solving. Puzzle game.
>>
>>2167668
It didn't. Good game.
>>
>"Here is a game where you can manage a spaceship city"
>cool, I like citybuilders
>"Actually it's a survival game about a gay ass story where some idiot blew up the moon"
At least Frostpunk has an endless mode.
>>
you kinda have to be really specific about how you build, otherwise you'll run into a brick wall like hours later for something you didn't build or plan for hours ago
>>
>go all in on insect farms and food efficiency
>completely sidestep water requirements
>recycle poop into alloy
>completely sidestep hull decay

Done, you're immortal and the sense of urgency has been thoroughly beaten into the ground.
>>
citizens were such fucking crybabies in this game god damn
>>

People still remember startopia
>>
Kino OST and base premise dragged down by strong ludonarrative dissonance and some incredibly dumb story choices.
>>

Weren't they all developing dementia or something as a result of the jumps
>>
ending ruined the game
>>
It was French - artsy, pretentious, style over substance.
But the OST justifies its existence by itself.
>>
It was fun, had some great ideas and some very lame ones, I liked the style and the music. 7/10, I would recommend anyone to play it once.

Vietnam, in my opinion.
>>
Amazing presentation, dogshit "gameplay". It's another puzzle game masquerading as a strategy game.
