how you liked this banished clone? I think it's fun fun fun
>>2182013Quite a bit except for having multiple villages sucks ass.
aw yeah
Is this the game where later on your civilization becomes chinese ? or was that something else
>>2182113something else
>>2182013Imagine if there would be a global strategic map with other tribes scattered around and you could raid them and capture slaves
I remember it being pretty short and limited.
>>2182147vgh...banishesque
>>2182013It's fun. Dawn of Man is one of the few comfy colony sims where AI generally doesn't do stupid shit and everything works without tricks/annoying micro
I always confuse this with Ancestors Human Kind Odyssey
>>2182013I did like it and their space base game before but some things are just awful. The pathfinding where a mf will die of thirst despite having a river on one side, a lake on another and ~5 wells in between. Not a single flat or even reasonably flat map. How the only thing to do after a few hours is to hunt down megaliths on the map and watch the progress bar crawl on some monument that doesn't do anything for you even when built.
>>2182013>how you liked this banished clone?Love it. I've got 450 hours innit. It's not without it's flaws and I hope for a sequel one day that builds off of the first game. Either way, It's probably the "best", or at the very least "competant", caveman city civ game you can get, atm.
>>2182558>Either way, It's probably the "best", or at the very least "competant", caveman city civ game you can get, atm. There's more than one?
>>2182654there's that ancient cities stuff
>>2182558>I hope for a sequel one day>Planetbase 2 Planned Release Date: Q1 2027Yeah, one day...
is alien stranded good?
>>2182113>>2182117what game
>>2183549battletoads
>>2182013I love it desu, much more enjoyable than Banished after your first play. What it's missing is what others have said; being able to send off raiding parties on a strategic map. Also a pop division of labour tech tree should have been a no brainer to start being able to determine who hunts and who gathers, then with agriculture have a certain % of your pops being farmers, hunters, craftsmen etc., then in the bronze age to set another certain % to be warrior-aristocrats with a combat buff or priests who act as mobile religious shrines for morale regain
>>2182013What periods does it cover? Paleolithic to Iron age?
>>2182013don't install the shilled realistic stone age mod, it's shit>>2194201 yeah
>>2182013abandonware for christs' sake!
>>2198005or just finished and complete
>>2198005Do you zoomers expect devs of a single player game to perpetually update a finished game?
>>2182013This game is as distant from Banished a Banished clone can get. It's actually pretty good, too.>>2182118Go check Ancient Cities. Not for that feature, but a cautionary tale of what happens when bunch of Idea Guys starts making a game and forget to hire a code monkey
>>2198005>Game finished and functional on release>Gets minor bug fixing in first month>Perfect to play, delivering all the features it was supposed to have>ABANDONED!Nigger, were you always this stupid, or that's a result of some specific head trauma?
>>2182032Why would you build multiple villages?
>>2198005It's finished. Which is good because these days the "release" the game and keep messing with it for like half a decade and break mods all the time.
>>2199155Aesthetics, access to that mine cluster that's across the map, convenience in moving industrial quantity of monoliths, expanding the lebensraum with that flat fertile prime farming land. Because I can. Lots of reasons.
Moving the monoliths took so long
>>2200068>AestheticsNot a consideration>access to that mine cluster that's across the mapBuild deep mine instead, or better yet - why didn't you settle there in the first place?>convenience in moving industrial quantity of monolithsHow is having more than one settlement convenient for moving objects from A to B, where your second/third/fourth settlement isn't B?>expanding the lebensraumSo larping?>with that flat fertile prime farming landWhy is your primary settlement not next to it?>Because I can.The game, as gently as it does, tells you that you really can't.>Lots of reasons. And not a single one of them viableI bet fending off raid of 100+ warriors with a settlement of 30 must be fun, but hey, you build another one, few paces away, with 40 people ready to be raped. Are you even aware the scale of the maps isn't abstracted, they are intended to be 1:1 real world size, so you are on a tiny spot of land for a single settlement to begin with? Or you didn't bother to read the manual nor dev docs? You know, the stuff that get them EU funding for educational gaming projects in the first place.
>>2198005Latest bugfix update was 25.10 THIS YEAR.
>>2202046damn now this is anger management issues
>>2202046>random schizo butting in and itching for a fightNeat. You want your juicebox now?>>2202224Well, schizos do as schizos do.
>>2202224Whatever makes you happy, mate.Just don't try to pretend a game has issues, because it doesn't cover for your head canon
>>2202277im not even the anon youre replying, im a different anon actually hehe! now grab some magnesium pills
I remember getting this, thinking it was that other cave man builder game and being very disappointed. Then the other cave man builder game came out and it was such dog shit that they stopped development on it real fucking quick.
My one qualm is the way tech advancement works. There's effectively one route you follow and just pick up extra techs from the trader.
>>2198005That's the other game, bra
>>2183549Primitive Society Simulator?
>>2206947holding out hope that the chinkgods making that will make an actual semi-playable game and not just pure jank
