so I recently bought lords of waterdeep on steam and its been the most fun I've had playing a game in months.
what are some more good games that are like this (light weight / worker placement / strategy / board game vibe)?

corruptionmax or nothing

The vidya adaptation of Avalon Hill's Advanced Civilization (the expanded version of Civilization board game which inspired Sid Meier's Civilization) is pretty neat. It is abandonware these days but easy to find online.

i love this game a lot but unfortunately the ai is really bad after you figure out how to play. another steam board game i enjoy is carcasonne, it's a completely different type of game (tile placement) but it's simple to learn and fun once you start figuring out the strategies. if you play solo the ai plays a much stronger game than waterdeep.

oh man I can provide some input here:
>gotta buy this now
Age of Wonders
>pretty good
Dune: Imperium, Twilight Struggle, Dominion (base game is free)

really just do a google search on "digital board games" to find digital renditions of board games. it's pretty much all I play on PC now since rounds to be rather quick and well I'm just tired of long ass strategy game campaigns

Holy shit, can't you even play with your parents, you fucking freak? This game is so abstract, you can just explain it as matching colors and move on, instead of playing online/against AI

Seems like exactly the kind of thing OP is looking for.

Caylus, considering Waterdeep is just Caylus for casuals.

Fort Sumter, if the theme isn't too dry for you

there's no steam conversion of caylus, just the browser-based version at boardgamearena

That looks like Twilight Struggle, same producers?

It's a GMT game like it
