There's not a thread up. For shame. Started an 1890 game as Austria-Hungary. Got into a 4 year war with Italy and despite having 1.5x tonnage I beat them. Around 1900 there's a naval treaty. I'm limited to 60000 tonnage which is bullshit FOR 15 YEARS! I'm tempted to just roll with it, but I can for the life of me get into a war with Spain (who are close tonnage wise to me, Italy is too far ahead).
Sneeding as Germany rnMy previous AH game went surprisingly well and I scored the highest Prestige of any game ive played
How do I get into this game?I don't even know what to do on turn 1.
>>2191802step 1 look at your fleet. Step 2. make it functional and maybe even good over the next 10 years until it gets outdated again. Step 3 navigate geo politics, and maybe win naval wars as they spring up.Yep, you need to manage the navy and play the game, crazy how it works. Good starting place is looking at all the menus and options, specifically ship design and technology, but you get new tech over time, so don't invest too heavy into that. Have fun learning about actual naval history.
Really need a boats general. Either way, if I had to play with 60000 tns in 1900, I'd forgo everything other than 20000 tns for a BC, and 12000 for a Big CA. You can build useful enough CAs at 4000 tns, and shit out a load of 300 or 400 tn torpedo boats. Obviously though, you have to end that ASAP, high intelligence on everyone and everything. Declare war on the moon, China, the Marshall Islands, who cares if you can get there or not. Ending that treaty is most important.
>>2193631>boats general.We call those admirals.
