>>22662884v4s can be garbage or fun. Right now it tends towards the former though because a lot of the new dlc civs have unbalanced elements that when played to make it unfun to go up against. Campaigns are truly terrible. The documentary elements should have been bonus features that accompanied something with more of an active narrative. Pick it up for the sale price if you want the mp when they fix things but as someone who's played a lot of it in the past and just recently switched back to 2 I can't vouch for how enjoyable 4 will be right now. If you play multi-player feel free to run chinese and spam their burst crossbows and free map hacks for a fun time.
>>2266288The campaigns are terrible. It's a bunch of "fake difficulty" scripted missions where you just slug it out against a single enemy base. You don't get anything like Barbarossa 1 or any kind of interesting map design. It also exists on a totally different balance patch than the multiplayer, so every unit and faction behaves totally differently.

>>2266288Get aoe2 youll get tons of official campaings + usermade AAA quality campaings. Great multiplayers + mods like EmpireCraft that make AoE2 like StarCraft gameplay wise with assymetrical factions (Like a new game 4 free)
I play with my premade team 4v4 and its always awesome

Necroing a dead thread on a dead forum cuz I bought the game on the last sale and am enjoying it. However, I am anxious about playing ranked and I wonder if I can find fellow autists to play team games with here.
