Hello, im looking games like SC2 Coop, where there is general race, but there are sub factions that significantly change up how that race is being played (like how Raynor plays differently compared to Nova or Megsk)
I know that DoW 2/3 and CnC Generals in which, you pick commander and that commander gives you different general powers

yes, SoSE has factions thats are split into 2 different factions, for example TEC loyalists and TEC renegades. loyalists are more defensive focused while TEC defectors are way more aggressive playstyle.

Each god offers a couple of different research techs, a new unit a new ability, but none changes the basic faction mechanics, the Norse still needs Ox Carts, the Egyptians still gain favour by building monuments and so on.

Also shame that SC2 stopped selling those cosmetics, was really looking foward for a complete mechanized Terran skin, with robotic Marines and all.

AoM has big asymmetry between factions, ill give you that. but as >>2286403, "subfaction" difference within faction as a whole is very light.
and regarding AoE and SWGB, there are a lot of factions that have, again, small differences between them, nothing too fancy compared to SC coop
