I know that many of you didn't like the idea or just like it only for the memes. But I unironically think it would have been amazing.I remember being 6 yo and getting for Christmas this LEGOs and reading the "comics" that come with them. They were pure "Kino".It's very sad that we didn't get the chance to see a reborn of them.PD: Imagine a mod for TW:40K that replaces the Necrons with Bionicle. PRAISE BE OMNISSIAH MATA NUI.
my favourite set, alas I never got the grand tournament set to finish the adventure
>>2306555Considering nostalgic experiences with games like Lego Island 1 & 2, Lego Loco, Lego Chess, Lego Racers 1 & 2, Lego Creator…. yeah. It would never really happen in the way we’d want it to. But an RTS set in the old school lego knights setting would be cool as fuck.
>>2306555There wouldn't be enough unit variety
>>2306555i unironically think that lego total war would be goated
>>2306796Just take inspiration from IRL. That’s what LEGO does anyway outside of licensed products.
>>2306786True.>>2306566Anon, I have the castle in my roon right now. Good memories. I hope LEGO bring them back as film, videogame or just another set.
>>2306804Amen anon. Revisiting all the artwork bring me back many good memories. It was cool af.
>>2306555I think just using Lego knights might be too restrictive for a tw game especially the newer more fleshed out Lego knights sets. The classic stuff from the 80s? has technically more but is also to generic medieval desu.
>>2306555wouldn't it be sufficient to have a mod for this when they release medieval 3?
I barely understood this game as a kid but it was a pleasant introduced to rts. If it was simplified enough for my dumbass, I probably would have loved a Lego Total War.
>>2306555I think Lego RTS would work better with an Army Men or Metal Fatigue style gimmick to it, you collect and "harvest" Lego parts to rebuild and reconfigure your men. You break down environmental elements such as buildings and enemy base structures to rebuild, repair, and expand your own, you grab body parts from downed enemies to turn your minifigs into bigfigs. Shit like that.
I played Lego: Voyagers with my kids, and the ending made me bawl.REAL TALK WITH ANON
>>2307055idk what niche lego set this is but a huge appeal of lego is, to me, the variety and freeform nature of itto that extent i would want lego total war to be incredibly varied with anachronistic units fighting one another and exploding into blocks in an extremely cartoon fashion
