ohhhhso THAT's what she means when she says she "needs to find a mousehole"
I started playing this again
>>2323431i got it on sale and beat it yesterdaywhy was /vst/ bashing it so hard when it came out? it's a great sequel to ja2
>>2323471It has some very minor hints of having been infected by the culture war, but ultimately it's just the general stink of the zeitgeist we're in.But those whiffs were enough to drive some people mad.I don't even blame them, the pattern of giving the devil your little finger has plagued media for a decade now. And the "disclaimer" at game start really sets off the alarms.I want to like the game, but the time limited quests and the awkward way the game progression is partly gated behind metaknowledge was a really dumb move design wise. The refugee camp, biff/diamond, the major and ESPECIALLY THE FUCKING RABIES QUEST are LITERAL FUCKING AIDS. What the fuck were they thinking?Other than that it's a good game and the only game apart from 1 and 2 (deadly games is basically bite-sized ja1 missions) that deserves to be mentioned in the franchise. I'll give it 7.8.I can see it in theory to get modded close to a 9, but I doubt we'll ever see that.
>>2323486the gates/triggers are especially bad since they can actually punish you for advancing fast, while for the sake of training militia/mercs, healing, crafting etc. shit that takes time; the game should punish you for turtling if anythingthe way they implemented those quests makes you essentially maybe stumble to good quest results purely by luck while you can get locked out of many of the best results for advancing at a rapid pace or from the wrong directionstill makes me mad
what the fuck did they do to grizzly?he sounds like a conspiratard now
>>2323427Very first thing I did with this game was install a portrait modFucking hell
>>2323471>i dont like the cringe humor (not all is bad but a lot of it is shit and immersion breaking)>africa and the fantasy voodoo bullshit is worse setting than Latin America, >once you learn stealth mechanics its insanely OP and trivialize the game even on highest difficulty setting
>>2324509>once you learn stealth mechanics its insanely OP and trivialize the game even on highest difficulty settingtee heeyou can't see me
>be me>loved ja2 back in the day>install ja3>see a trigger warning about how it may be offensive>uninstall
>>2324864>anon get triggered by trigger warningheh
>>2325029His is justified, just refund.
>>2325048even so, its still funny
Is this game good? The reviews don't look promising.
>>2323486>It has some very minor hints of having been infected by the culture warLike what? Genuinely asking. It was probably one of the least politically correct non-shitpost games in a long while. The disclaimer is there for that very reason, it's subtly telling the people who believe in trigger warnings that if they don't leave they're gonna get triggered. They're explicitly saying they're not holding their blows and keeping it just like the 90s games.
>>2326985all i can think of is the righteousness with which you are supposed feel when you punish the whore abusersalso when steroid says that Kalena is so good because she is ukranian instead of russianand of course muh nazis but what game doesn't have that?
>>2327082>withdelet that
This game lets me shoot commies, nazis, corpos and thirdies. I see it as a win.>but some characters are womenYeah. And?>but some characters are gay.So fucking what?>but some characters are no longer 80's action movie tough guys like in previous games.Still plenty of those.
>>2327082>also when steroid says that Kalena is so good because she is ukranian instead of russianThat's not a stance on ziggers and the four year long special operation though, that's just Steroid being Steroid. Part of his character is a joke about the Polish hating Russians over anything else in the world. He would refuse to join in JA2 if you had either of the Dolviches on the team and had quotes ranting about Russia back then as well. Was /v/pol/ seriously bothered by this?
>>2327437Chuds don't play games for enjoyment, they do it to play wokie amoogus and use this site as the meeting place.
>>2327437>Was /v/pol/ seriously bothered by this?I was bothered by all the guns having nonsensical wrong calibers
>>2327437Ivan make good kill but he is still a filthy Russian
