Post pics or greentexts about stuff that happened in your campaign that make you ragequit or give you the urge to do it.Mine>be tengrist Ilkhanate>actually doing pretty good>this retarded unskippable event happens>all my progress to reform Tengri nearly got wipeout(Same bullshit happened in my campaign of William the Bastard when he "decided" to become English and lose the Norman ability to raid.)I hope one day PDX will go bankrupt.
>trying to kill one of my most powerful rivals>choose people that are pious and / or not drunk>drunkhard event appears, plot revealed>despite the chracter that revealed the plot still NOT a drunkhard and still follows a life without vicesNearly got killed myself by that rival + a massive civil war.
>playing nomad>larger nomadic neighbour raids my capital and destroys my army for no reason in the process>fine, whatever, it's part of playing nomad, I'll just rebuild when he's gone>he camps my capital until the hostility timer is just about up>moves over to neighbouring settlement, raids it for one day (long enough to reset hostility), and moves back to sitting on my capital to keep me from building another army>this goes on for over a decadeOnly fucking game I can say I legitimately, without hesitation, have been griefed by the AI in
>>2324566>cool duckI know that feeling anon, I never meet a fellow CK2 player that likes nomads (don't get me wrong, I like the idea behind it, but the implementation just sucks).
>choose to play as Athelstan of Wessex, catholic>*Odin is the Ancestor of the House of Wessex*>so I become Asatru, reformed it>create the North Sea Reich but bri'ish>BTFO France>successful "assatruzation">Pope gets mad, crusading time>check forces, mine are superiors>end losing it because my allies are fucking retards and the combat is shit>not only ragequit but also ragedelete it
For me it's usually nothing dramatic or specific. Some features are just horribly annoying. Fighting off raid after raid makes sense for the time period, but in terms of the gameplay it gets so tedious. It's especially bad when you reach that point of dominance. When you're the biggest empire around and all you really get to do is smack down pointless raids that don't have a chance in hell to stand up to you.It is, in some ways, a problem all games have. But it's also a testament to CK2 not having great realm administration mechanics. CK3 is slightly worse at this yet. There you don't even have Great Works to distract yourself with late game.
>>2324558>when he "decided" to become EnglishEmbracing English culture is literally a character decision, you chose to become English, also Norman culture only allows you to raid overseas if you were already allowed to raid, aka you converted to paganism, which is much more ahistorical than a Norman becoming English
>>2324573https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1564864230This mod is a requirement for playing nomads, because enter shortcut doesn't work (at least for me), eliminates half of the clicking when you need to raze provinces
>>2325034Well, in my campaign it was NOT a decision, it appeared as an unskippable event. Also, despite being catholic, as Norman I could still raid. And before you ask it, no, I didn't use mod, it was IRONMAN ON to get achievements. Perhaps it was a bug, but for once, it was a good bug.
>>2324558>looking around the map>spot a viking adventurer in the Mediterranean >cool, I hope he do some cool stuff>vagnarjbruf the conqueror conquers Rome>crusades are unlocked>every shitty catholic count can summon fat stacks of holy super crusader orders and catholics are now untouchable I hate catholicism and all their holy orders
>>2325034Wrong, a cultural raiding feature works regardless of religion, I know this because changing my culture to raid as a Zoroastrian was a key part of my Karen campaign. On a related note, I ragequit one of my early attempts at said campaign after a vassal beat me in a civil war, imprisoned my sisterwife & then made her his concubine. What a bastard.
>>2329576yeah but Norman isn't one of those cultures.the bit about "can raid overseas with ships" or whatever doesn't actually mean it enables raiding on its own. it means you can get extra loot on your ships if you can already raid. there's a reason that e.g. Norse has both that line and the one about being able to raid in generalalso hey hiroshimoot if you're going to make me do a captcha can you please let me actually do it instead of just expiring it the second I click to get it
>>2324565He likely developed it, need to check their focuses too and if its carousing they could turn into a drunkard
