Played a demo of this game a long time ago and it kicked my ass since I was a stupid child back then but I remember enjoying it a lot, decided to replay it recently and it's fairly fun and quite funny and it's far easier than I remember.

Rise and fall: civilizations at war

wasn't this called Mob Rule or something
it kind of amazed me that you could flat out steal someone's building with a bunch of workers.

You lose, I played that. It was surprisingly popular with a few friends at school, we even played multiplayer against each other.

It was called Street Wars in Europe and Mob Rule everywhere else, or maybe only in the US, something like that.

Played both.
Zeta Laporis, vol'talkes, Global Conflagration, Loria, The original Liquidation demo, 7th legion, and Cantata are probaly the most obscure strategy games I have played
