Modern Japan with the Oda emblem is kino
They should put lots of videos into Medieval 3
>>
I agree, but they sadly won't.
It would be kino if in Medieval 3 they have an ending cinematic where a castle of your faction is surrounded by a modern city of whatever cultural background your faction is from.
But CA doesn't do these sorts of cinematics anymore. I think Shogun 2 was the last time, everything else is "You Won!"
>>
I just hope we get spy and assassination videos again.

Is this SOUL?
When did total war stop having these?

Rome II

yep, they have more support than ever but they won't do what they were able to do before?
>>
I always thought it was kinda cool how you got slightly different victory animations depending on what kind of government you had in Empire TW. I won as an absolute monarchy for Russia ages ago and I think it remarked on the complete crushing of all attempts at democracy.

It's literally the story of CA
>2006-2016
>invent new things every new title
>then abandon the half of things invented and never back to it
>2016-2026
>most of history titles mechanics look like lost technologies of ancestors

Does the clan emblems being up on modern buildings imply 21st century Japan is still under shogun rule?
>>
>>2343383
Nah it's just a family business logo. You can actually see them everywhere if you know what to look for.
>>
>>2341599
It probably helps that in Shogun you had a monocultural setting, so we only had to make a single set of videos.

They should contract it out to indie animators who will work for dirt cheap to show off their styles

shogun 2 was the last total war with any soul whatsoever
