This game is way better than any of the 3 total war games
>>2336418Nah. It's fun though.
>>2336418I'm not familiar with WH Fantasy loreWho is Mark and why is he a big chaos guy?
>>2336418Haha fuck noIt was mediocre 20 years ago and it's worse todayAt least go all-in on nostalgia and post Shadow of the Horned Rat or something
>>2336418If you like it that's great. I haven't played for a long time but I remember I thought this game had some mechanics I wish the warhammer total war games had.
>>2336418most kino helmet ever, shame the game sucked
>>2336418It's a bad but entertaining game. It's a guilty pleasure of mine, even ordered the novel. Only finished the Empire campaign, handgunners and elven archers wreck everything. Thankfully Chaos can't cheese like that, you have to actually use your brain
>>2337583The Chaos campaign has even more broken cheese. You get that one artifact with infinite uses that turns a unit into a demon. If you wait for the cooldowns you can get huge armies of demons. The demons also sell for lots of money after each battle so you basically have infinite money too.
I feel like it represented Warhammer fantasy a lot better compared to TWW. In TWW you have heroic Karl Franz and Empire fights undeads, demons, rebels, kislev etc. but Mark of Chaos shows how corruption can spread within empire, how high ranking generals and elector counts can truly be hidden cultists etc. also it had great ost.
>>2336418You cant terraform so it is worse by definition
>>2339119Also best WH Fantasy cinematic
>game is super niche, but not so old as to have developed a devoted cult following that maintains it long after being abandoned>no community interested in fixing random bugs>can't play skirmish with ai or lan because weird bug automatically generates a maximum value army for all open slots, but doesn't display it, so changing anything flags the army as too expensive>happened randomly after playing campaign and uninstalling/reinstalling/verifying files doesn't fix itI just wanted to build armies with custom colors; they even let you adjust the uniform variation for units. I love this stupid game despite how clunky it is for the aesthetics and solid voice acting. Now a large chunk that makes it worth replaying isn't even accessible.
>>2339480Maelstrom brothers we are still alive
>>2339665Indeed. It's a crime against humanity that the ancient Mark of Chaos has better trailers than any of the CA games with its billion $$$ budget. It's not like a 1 minute trailer is expensive, we have fans making longer shit for free for WH40 000
