Because the shoulder pads (good because disproportionated shoulder pads look retarded af).I hate GW but VW devs were not very intelligent doing a 40k-like (check the description of the game, it's literally 40k) knowing that GW is purging anything 40k-like (except Starcraft) for the last 6 years.
Gotta love how this fattard nordcuck still so mad about Trench Crusade that wants GW suing them. https://youtu.be/7moxqmpj-uE?si=5aVlo7zC0cr64t03And this is the same dude that can't stfu about men being cold stoic war-machines and women being the total opposite and "muh tradcuck gender roles based because men are providers (slaves)".
>random dmca by "gw">no actual lawsuit>game back on steam>d-drama!!!fuck off, retard
>>2337397I hope it get banned.
>>2337362It's no wonder the shill op who keeps making Voidwar 39k threads only uses that one capsule art image instead of gameplay screenshots. I just looked up this game and it looks absolutely retarded. Top down MS paint spaceships kek. What a retarded piece of shit.
>>2337484>anon is madKek.
kys fattie
>>2337362called it
>>2337362>anything 40k-like (except Starcraft)This is because 40k is a StarCraft ripoff.
>>2337362I hope GW gets annihilated in court. Their whole IP is just other people's shit cobbled together.
>>2337362>sued nope, they weren't sued at allWhy are you spamming this everywhere >>2338283
>>2338319It's the other way around, anon.
Still don't understand the big deal about this game, literally just a reskinned FTL.
>>2339294Well people who like FTL were starved for a sequel and this comes with qols, new mechanics and more stuff in general
>>233929440kfags will eat literal shit if it had a space marine logo on it.
>>2339294And a lot of FTL fags just wanted more FTL. That's basically Voidwar in a nutshell, FTL++.
>>2339352>ftl>shitfuck off retard.
>>2338659>oversized convex shoulderpads with a metallic rimFunny, I remember Games Workshop suing a third-party model parts seller over space marine shoulder pads and rightfully getting BTFO on that specific part because of how generic they are. I guess nothing stops them trying again though, especially against small companies with no money.
>>2342990it's Steam which immediately accepts all such claims without even trying to validate them. If you have a law firm you could unironically shut down any game on the store based on a single fraudulent document
>>2337362>checks steam screenshotsIf anyone should be suing them it's the FTL dev, holy shit... this is "Age of Empires II > Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds"-tier.
>>2337362Tundra didn't take the bait. They removed the trailer and the game is back on Steam.Face it, brother. You lost.https://store.steampowered.com/app/2853590/Void_War/BTW, Geedubs tried to copyright pauldrons before. They failed, although they did kill ChapterHouse on the way down.
>>2342993That's how the DMCA works unfortunately. It was written by people who didn't know what the internet was.
>>2343271They're not interested in suing fans of theirs. They're not retarded, unlike geedubs.
>>2338659Big void war W HUGE chud OP L
>>2337364>be fat (no self control) retarded manchild>devote your whole life to playtime>talk about how men should be stoic war machine providerswhat causes this?
>>2343271You do know VW was made by ex FTL modders that asked the devs and they said, sure, go for it?
>>2344268obviously he didn't know, what a stupid question to ask
>>2344268Just so people know, being told "go for it :)" by someone doesn't mean they won't or can't sue you for copyright infringement later. You have to be a bit more meticulous than that.
>>2346869It's a video game. Game mechanics are uncopyrightable.
>>2347663Try having a mechanic that is throwing a ball to capture a creature in your game. Or have rngenerated minor recurring villains that grow and change depending on your actions
>>2348060Nintendo's losing that crap, you know? And that Nemesis System patent could easily be challenged. It's just that nobody has bothered to do so yet. Also, WHEN WB dies, that "patent" will become worthless.
asd
>>2343655Which is a shame since they made the only good Tau superheavy walker.
>>2348094>And that Nemesis System patent could easily be challenged. It's just that nobody has bothered to do so yet. This. Nobody bothered, because it's not really that big of a selling point. The specific functionality of Pocket Monsters got challenged, because some company not called Nintendo realized they could make a fair bit of dough from it.
>>2337362Why are they too pussy to touch Starcraft?
>>2349383Blackrock/stone has stakes in both GeeDubs and Blizzcuck
>>2348060I know retards like to bring up the Nemesis system but that patent is for a specific implementation. Ubisoft later made a similar system with a different implementation in asscreed odyssey. Guess what, no lawsuit. Patents don't work the way you think they work.
>>2349383Starcraft was originally pitched as an official licensed tie in. It was allowed to exist unmolested because GW back then was less corporate. Now they are full corporate, they tried to copyright "space marine" a few decades ago and when they found out they couldn't they started rewriting the lore so everything was either a proper noun or new copyrightable latin. You were either "Johnny Space and His Space Marines" or "Astra Whogivesafuckarum".
>>2337362I hated FTL for being nothing but a memory check and how awful it was to grind new ships/contentIs void war better in that regard?
>>2337364that guy is so fucking annoying
>>2350697The jimmy space marine joke got way funnier as the years went on. GW is just being their own parody.
I wish boarding combat was more involved. It was fun aetheric gate'ing four brick shithouses into a room and deleting everything especially if it involved weapons that spawned ghouls, fire or some other thing on kills(thresher axe, my love) but at torment 3 right now it's more or less just an endless chore of deploying my meatgrinders in the enemy ship then bringing them back, healing them in whichever way I have, bringing them back to whatever boarding mechanism I have(which especially sucks when there don't seem to be default battle stations I can set for units) and then deploying the meatgrinders again and either winning on auto pilot or accidentally destroying the ship while my guys+commander are on it. Totally didn't happen half a dozen times already.
>>2351424>torment 3It'll get a bit more engaged when you reach 10+
>>2353148I'm on 4 and I don't want to play anymore because thanks to host of boarding glitches introduced after the new ruins patch I had to let go of a bunch of vaults in a ruin because when I teleported my guys into that room they disappeared and were invisible with no ability to give them commands(even if I assigned a shortcut to that unit and selected them through that, they're just invisible but occupy that room and do not take commands), then when I recalled them some phantom unit started occupying the command throne meaning I can't warp out because I can't get anyone inside of the command throne, even by spawning in a thrall in that room.
>>2343685being a 40k fan in deeper than 'this game is fun'
>>2353158Weird. For what it's worth I never had that issue but I don't think I used the infiltrate option even once so that might be it.
>>2353158Post a bug report in one of the places where devs can take a look (Steam forums, itch game board etc.) They tend to be pretty quick with patches, they've often released hotfixes for particularly annoying bugs.
'you get less rewards/scrap' difficulty modifiers annoy me greatly, to the point that when I got to the 2nd compounding modifier of this kind i just said fuck it and only did torment 1 runs from then on (and stopped playing not long after)
sucks to suck huh
>>2337362I recognize those MSPaint ships and the text font. Is the game made by the same dude that created Chapter Master? I liked that game but remember that its development stopped as well due to GW. Here's a link, btw https://1d6chan.miraheze.org/wiki/Chapter_Master_(game)
