I'm in the mood for some pre-dreadnought naval warfare. What are the best games for it?
>>2357516Ultimate admiral dreadnoughts in the early game and with the dreadnought improvement mod. Negatives are that it's abandonware, doesn't cover much of the pre-dreadnought era and also it's shit.Asking for this is like asking for a good age of sail game, they either don't exist or they're shit
>>2357516This https://store.steampowered.com/app/2008100/Rule_the_Waves_3/You can pirate the game on RuTracker if you can't afford it. The game is really-really good, I discovered the first one and loved it. The only downside is the off-putting graphics but you will get used to them. The first game in the series was cool but the third one is simply amazing, they introduced a lot of funny shit. The game spans 1890-1950~ but nothing is stopping you from beginning a new campaign once you hit 1914 or 1918. In fact, that's how the first game worked, most of the techs were researched by 1918
>>2357516https://store.steampowered.com/app/963680/Clad_in_Iron_Sakhalin_1904/looks janky but maybe it's decent
DLC bump! Nearly 200 concurrent. Too bad it's $20 and will never, ever go on sale for more than 10% I bet.
>>2358475You can set the tech rate. I don't know the slowest but in theory 50% would mean the dreadnaught era starting around 1920 instead of 1906 if you do the 1890 start. You can separately also delay flight tech if you want to delay planes affecting naval warfare
What is it with the Victorian Age that only attracts developers that just want to make turn-based, pixel graphics and/or spreadsheets-heavy games?
>>2366173Too niche
>>236598810% is the lowest tech rate you can set.
>>2367169Might even be able to edit the save file so lie it can't even move. I know you can edit the ship size up way above the highest limit selectable
>>2357516I really like napoleon 2 for the navel battles only
Victoria 2
