Crusader Kings but fully played from the family tree layer. If anything, its actually a pretty decent implementation of the old social climbing ttrpg En Garde. Anyone else play it yet? Gotta get a key from their patron, but there really is no other dedicated family tree sim like this.
>house wincestorcome on now
>>2370737Cool, I would have maybe been interested in this when I was big into CK2.
>>2370737Is that old or new art for the character portraits? The one I see in-game right now are different... and weirdly enough, they look worse than in your pic.>>2370756Also, I don't think you can actually have incest, lol. Only marriage stuff I've seen so far is with members of different houses.
>>2370737Kek
>>2370737>Gotta get a key from their patronno
Played the older version they have on itch (and even more confusingly, there's also a steam demo that is another version entirely). This actually has potential, though their patreon "alpha tester" role being a monthly sub instead of a one-time preorder is pretty scummy and gives the dev a bad incentive to never actually release the game
Some post the files to catsite, fuck patreonshit
events get pretty repetitive after a while and you're kind of just incentivized to min max based on how good the stat bar on a specific character matches the required event.
>>2370737Fuck off and buy an ad.
i could see paying money every month to alpha test thisi really could
dude incest lmao
>>2370737Might try this out, hows modding it? And does it have an active community?
Are the character you send on Crusades just supposed to die off after the event is over with every single time?Cause that's pretty much what's been happening to me. Everyone I put on there gets killed. I think I only saw it like once or twice them surviving.Even though the events make no mention whatsoever that they died or got harmed during it in any way, they just end up dying after the event is over with.
>>2371385someone definitely needs to mod out all the browns and allow incest.as far as I can tell the community has a ton of girls so it seems this dev finally found the trick to getting girls to play a medieval dynastic game. mainly by making cute art and getting rid of the "looking at a map" part because women fucking hate maps and do not have spatial awareness
Brown children are being born despite both parents being white... lol.
>>2371131haha look i posted it again
>>2370737Can you properly start from the bottom as a baron in this like you can't do in crusader kings?
>>2375320yeah you start as a baron. you can even lose all your titles and keep playing for a while, though a lose condition timer starts to tick down until you get another noble title into your house.
>>2375547Neat, might give it a look
>>2375799it's super barebones right now, I'd check back in when they release (if they ever do, given that they're patreon milking while in development)
>waiting for random events to detemine how well you're doing, while your family quickly grows out of control so you're constantly reassigning people to all the mundane tasks they generateHoly shit this game sucks.
>>2370737Tried the itch demo.Kinda interesting concept, but didn't really feel likea strategy game.
It's kinda fun for like 1 hour. Then it just becomes maddening.
>>2370756Lel
>>2371719It's not a coincidence. The game literally has a cucking mechanic.
>>2385879Does it? I haven't encountered anything like that yet. Only bastards being born out of wedlock every once in a while. Is it in the Steam Demo version only? Or is it written in one of the birth events somehow that I skipped over and didn't read?
lol wtf. they took the demo off the steam page so the only way you can play it now is either through the very early version on itch or if you pay for early access on discord.
>>2390615why would they do that?
>>2390993apparently they only meant for it to stay up during that one steam medieval festival sale or whatever and then be taken off so that they can continue working on it and put out a newer version of the demo in the future
