>>2374383I'd just like to clarify that Putin will play a very minor role in an edge scenario, he takes over Beloretsk if Russia collapses after losing the 2WRW, and his portrait is dependent on the ideology that unified Russia. This is his current communist portrait, but without the hat it'll also be the portrait for most warlords. New hat being made for this portrait.>>2374388Seconding this.
>>2374392And a guide on clothing colors like the ones for colorizing clothes as parts of portrait would also be appreciated.
>>2374392>Tons of Putins based on who you lost asThat's a pretty funny Easter egg.
>>2374392Terrible portrait. The angle, pose and lighting of the hat don't match him at all.
>>2374383The wanton nuking like with Haiti, Gorky, etc is pretty kino imo. Shows that there's disregard for collateral damage and civilian lives and reminds of the Panzer era
>>2374375forgot the slovakia flowchart https://files.catbox.moe/qn8otq.png
>>2374401This has been said before. It's sadly not intentional kino though, you're meant to feel sad about how evil everyone the dev disagrees with are. It's more like how Emperor Nixon is likely going to be incredibly funny despite just being a prolonged TDS meltdown.
>>2374401You just know it's them taking the wrong lesson from Requiem. >THE CHUDS LIKE NUKES?>WE NUKED HAITI AND GORKY ARE YOU HAPPY NOW CHUDS
I'm going to say it again. It is really INTERESTING how irrelevant Nazi Germany being the world's superpower seems to be for the leaked plans of the US/Central America, at best you get a reheated >"his plan is to defeat THE SOVIETSwas-" that they word swap with the word fascism, other than that, the presence of Nazi Germany and their supposed, possible influence doesn't matter at allThey got in so deep of showcasing the evils of Cold War Amerika and their evil deeds and the upheaveals of the 1960s that they quite literally lost the plot of Germany winning WW2
>>2374405Funny if true. I doubt it since they've done a lot of heavy handed moralizing before it released but you can't rule it out.>>2374407It's because nudevs just want to write about their own personal politics.

>>2374420nayrt but hear me out: It completely killed the mod and made laughing at TNO go mainstream. Its announcement alone gave us more entertainment than anything they've released (short list I know) since Guangdong.
I've seen mentions of the 1980 USA candidates being already decided on the last thread, does anybody know who are they?
>>2374420Already explained, main reason is that im not a complete retard that likes the current state of Africa and unrealism in general.>>2374424Thanks for including people with trans flags in bio and that one mexican guy speaking broken english.
>>2374411>DV is one of the best things that ever happened with TNO btwCrazy how the only people to get and leak shit are the ones smart enough to like DV.
>>2374429>unrealismBut TNO's definition of realism is retarded and constantly shifting. The team's idea of what realism is varies about as wildly as a woman's mood. To Lam, Germany's sphere being unbreakable is le realism. To kateryna, Sweden, despite being surrounded by German puppets or allies, never deviating from the OTL Social Democrats or conservatives and also being allowed to set up a nuclear program without panzers driving into Scania is le realism. To Mango, a random republican activist who had no Presidential ambitions being elected and then becoming a fascist, and the US nuking Haiti when they could easily win a conventional war in a couple days is le realism. To whoever took over the Russia team after Corn went AWOL, Russia suddenly becoming tired when it hits almost its OTL boundaries and then relying on "conditionally loyal" Balt, Caucasian and Ukrainian partisans (which can somehow fight Germany and win at that point, whereas if Ukraine wins earlier, a non-canon nuke is dropped on Kyiv and it immediately folds) is le realism.Realism means [thing the lead in question likes].DV doesn't think about butterfly effects or even basic cause and effect. [Thing] happened in OTL so it will happen in TNOTL. The laziest, historical deterministic shit you've ever seen.

>>2374431Nobody would even give a shit about DV if Calph wasn't personal friends with Mango who can whip every other team into accepting it being shoved down their throats, forcing them to further rework their reworks. It would rightfully be mocked as babby's first submod.
>>2374392Full Putin path when?

>>2374452>Be a salty TNO dev>Doesn't even know what a submod is
>>2374432>Germany's sphere being unbreakable is le realismIt is breakable. Romania, Sweden, Finland, etc.>Sweden, despite being surrounded by German puppets or allies, never deviating from the OTL Social Democrats or conservativesWhy would people living in a stable democracy deviate to the extremist ideologies?>being allowed to set up a nuclear program without panzers driving into Scania is le realismTheir nuclear program is being conducted in a total secrecy. Its being revealed during a Kampfzeit, when the german leadership is disunited and doesnt control the army. Nukes are insanely easy to produce, so whoever comes on top will meet a sufficient nuclear arsenal.>To Mango, a random republican activist who had no Presidential ambitions being elected and then becoming a fascistI dont know much about US politics as im not ftom the US, but judging by her Wikipedia page she sounds like a prominent conservative activist. And she wont become a fascist.>when they could easily win a conventional war in a couple daysThey couldnt, because the US never wants to commit itself into a conventional war. Thats why Vietnam, Korea, Nicaragua, etc were all losses. Nuke is a cheap and easy way to win any war without full commitment.>DV doesn't think about butterfly effects or even basic cause and effectMost parts of Africa have a different starting situation from OTL, not even mentioning the outcome.
>>2374486We know it's you, Kateryna. You always come here to defend your own and your friends "work" in your usual style whenever they get leaked and made fun of for being terrible. Go back to your Devcord, shit like pretending that DV isn't just pure otlism and that nuking Haiti is strategically sound are just dead giveaway that you're an arch-dev.
Can't believe that the most conservative path in Mango's TNO is fucking Goldwater plus Schafly. At least Universal Segregation Wallace plus Schafly made sense as the third worst possible ending, but this is ridicolous.
>>2374378> UK re-reworkthat's the same chart thats been floating around here for 2 years
>>2374510i think Schlafly only being a reaction to a particularly liberal candidate like Burton or JFK makes sense. Goldwater also works bc according to the yippie doc he's basically repeatedly giving evangelicals the middle finger by his second term
>>2374514Also before i forget, apparently TMT's scope is being expanded to include some ukraine stuff?

>>2374531At least it's a sign of life from the Ukraine team i guess.

>>2374486So how does your arrangement with Lam work?Do you send him images of your dick saying its your pussy or sum? Or why does he give you so much freedom while noone else gets it.Did you promise to suck his dick when the estrogen "therapy" is over?
>>2374538>Last lead dead>New lead is the most hated guy on the teamFuck it, bring back Corn. All is forgiven. We were wrong. We didn't know how good we had it. At least he was fun.
>>2374548nayrt but the way it works on the team is way more simple. Friends of leads get it their way, people who aren't don't. You just need to be involved with the ascendant circle. I don't think it's even structured in any way, they just do these things instinctively. Because most of them are teens or just about. It's not complicated why you get highschool drama politics.

>EaW's April Fools event has more content than anything TNO has put out since GuangdongWhen is this mod going to get put out of it's misery?
>>2374594>V&J in 2025. Damn I’m going to need some serious transportation to get the update then
>>2374407In some ways I think it makes sense that Nazi Germany wouldn't be too involved in Latin American affairs. The racial nature of the regime, plus its belief in autarky means in most cases they probably wouldn't bother trying to fuck around in LatAm. That would be more Japan and the Iberian Union.I think the main place Germany would both fucking around with would be Venezuela, just to have access to the oil there just in case.
>>2374486>They couldnt, because the US never wants to commit itself into a conventional war.Kat, the US occupied all of Haiti for almost 20 fucking years from the 1910s-1930s most the time with just 100 marines. The USA literally waged and won guerilla wars in Haiti in real life, decades prior to the game taking place.
>>2374653But they barely do anything with it. Germany winning the war is a footnote in the lore most of the time outside of Europe. Not only is new content actively avoiding recognizing the setting of the mod but they're actively removing old content for the same purpose. These are the worst, most creatively bankrupt people ever.
>>2374411Wait a minute, why the fuck is Ghana independent if Britain is a Nazi puppet? You're telling me that fascist Britain still allows Kwame Nkrumah to peacefully leave the empire? Is this version of Nkrumah a warlord? Why the fuck is he still in charge?
>>2374662Because it's good and realism that OTL things happen.
>>2374661That's why Germany owning Africa was so important. Because while it does make sense that the Nazis wouldn't really fuck around with East Asia or the Americas, they need to be involved somewhere for them to actually be a major faction gameplay-wise.Africa was a good place for that. It made a bit of sense, it was a place they'd be able to conquer and would lead into their whole autarky mindset.Plus it's just a naturally horrific image which really makes TNO stand out.Now Germany is essentially going to be a non-factor. They won't have a civil war, won't lose parts of their European sphere, and won't be involved in the stories of literally anywhere else.
>>2374662In all fairness It wasn’t a peaceful exit, Nkrumah launched a domestic revolution that was going to be crushed by a anglo french coalition but it was stoped by the US navy, who decided it would just be better to cut their losses
>>2374670Good point. But if we're getting into the territory of the US stopping the Europeans from influencing Africa, wouldn't both the US and Japan probably ensure all of West Africa be already independent?Because the Vichy French and puppet British won't have any authority, in a Axis victory you'd think the Europeans would have lost practical control over West Africa by 1962
>>2374660It is not like 30 years has passed and things like modern firearms and ideological indoctrination became widespread? Its not like the domestic and foreign policy of the US has changed with more sympathy towards darkies? Fucking moron. Why did France lost to Vietnam when they defeated it in 1874 with only 300 man duh? Must be bad writing. Stupid fucking nigger.>>2374675Revolution in Ghana succeded only because Britain had to deal with uprising at home. Vichy France was intact. Nigerians didnt care to revolt, because Nigeria itself is an artificial country. Britain and France are weak at home, but strong in their colonies, because Germany allows them to be.
>>2374685Kat, the advancing of time makes US control over Haiti easier, not harder.Haiti is a dirt poor island nation with only one neighbor, who doesn't allow border crossings. This means that guerillas would have nowhere to hide, and no way to get more supplies. And they also wouldn't have any meaningful amount of weapons to begin with.France lost in Vietnam since Vietnam is 10 times larger both in population and geography and had a direct land border with nations who could easily smuggle in guns.It and a hypothetical Haitian war would have nothing in common. Hell, Haiti doesn't even real have jungles. The people have already clean-cut their half of the island. Meaning they'd be easily targeted by air power. If you, and the dumbasses on your mod team, think that the US wouldn't be able to control Haiti, then why the fuck would Vichy France and Germany have any shot at controlling Madagascar? A land which is more populous, more large, further away from the homeland of the nations involved, and with worse terrain for an occupying force?
>>2374662in 1956 Britain has a civil war. Ghana breaks free during that. The collab government wins the civil war and begins preparation to retake it. The plan is abandoned when the ofn promises to protect Ghana
>>2374685France lost Vietnam because:1) Japan actively funded rebel movements in Indochina for a large part of WW22) Vietnam is THOUSANDS of Kilometers away from France3) They didnt really lose, they just kinda gave up. Mendes was a staunch enemy of the war, so when he came to power, he basically did all he could to pull out of the region. If Mendes hadnt pulled out and Laniel woulda stayed in power, its not unthinkable that France would have kept its colonial empire for longer, or atleast a neo-colonial version of this.
>>2374717Compare this to Haiti- Noone to fund them- Literally under a thousand km away from MAINLAND USA- Nuking is a step above military intervention, and a much larger commitment. Troops can always be pulled out, buildings repaired, and money payed for reconcilliation. Nukes... not so much. Even now Japan is playing the "but we got nuked twice" card. And thats WITH them being a staunch US ally
>>2374693>Haiti is a dirt poor island nation with only one neighbor, who doesn't allow border crossings.Kat, the uprising starts after Puerto Plata. A good chunk of post-Puerto Plata leaders support it directly or indirectly. Trujillo deports a lot of haitians that join the resistance. Dominican Republic has a relatively weak border, otherwise there wont be any haitians for Trujillo to deal with OTL.>France lost in Vietnam since Vietnam is 10 times larger both in population and geographyRetard, if you didnt know that before, France didnt attack the whole Vietnam, but rather certain areas, controlled by rebels. But wait, how did France won over Vietnam before, despite its size? Must be bad writing again.>Hell, Haiti doesn't even real have jungles. The people have already clean-cut their half of the island. Meaning they'd be easily targeted by air power. This could be a good argument. I see you used your small nigger brain to finally formulate a single decent thought. But even that didnt work in the end. Around 50% of the haitian land in 50s had jungles on it, with massive deforestation happening in 60s due to Trujillo's assasination and opening trade with Dominican Republic.>If you, and the dumbasses on your mod team, think that the US wouldn't be able to control Haiti, then why the fuck would Vichy France and Germany have any shot at controlling MadagascarBelieve me or not, but they could lose it even in current version. And the US could win in Haiti in current version. Nuke is a last resort if you fucked up bad enough. There are also major differences in these countries anti-partisan methods. Do i have to explain it too? Just say that you are retarded enough so i have to keep myself busy with this task.>>2374717>>2374721These are good arguments and i'll answer to them tommorow as im going to sleep.
>>2374735>calling people niggers >defending nuTNO's retardationI get it, you want to nuke black people, and that's valid, but at the same time you shouldn't be defending this slop.
>>2374706>america caring about some sub-saharan shithole enough to risk a shooting war with germanyAnd we're supposed to believe this is realistic, when it's just an excuse to have the OTL guy in power in the OTL state of Ghana
Iberia WILL release.. USA probably WILL release.. Germany MIGHT release.. Italy probably WONT release.. Manchuria WONT release.. Turkey is gone.. UK.. WONT release..
>>2374735>the uprising starts after Puerto Plata. A good chunk of post-Puerto Plata leaders support it directly or indirectly. So?That still doesn't mean that Haitian rebels would be able to be supplied. It does take care of the leadership problem I forgot to mention, but it still leaves a rather small number of militants in a very small and isolated position.>Trujillo deports a lot of HaitiansThe number of Haitians doesn't matter if they don't have guns.>The Dominican Republic border is weakThis is the most unrealistic shit I've ever heard. You think the DR would ever have a porous border with Haiti? Moreover, the DR hates Haiti, always had. The DR government has no reason to ever arm the Haitians nor aid in their rebellion. And even if they decided, for some unknown reason, to supply guns to Haiti, why would the US nuke Haiti instead of just blockading the Dominican Republic? The US successfully blockaded Cuba despite them being backed by the USSR and being a much larger nation. If guns were coming in through the DR, America would easily be able to stop that.>Deforestation hadn't occurred yetThis is a good point, but it's not like jungle combat is impossible. When you have a very limited number of militants who can't get more supply, a prolonged war should be an easy victory for the USA.>The nuke is for if you fuck up the minigame enoughThe nuke is still really dumb. Like ungodly retarded. But it's good to hear that this is just a minigame and not pre-established or inevitable lore.still the minigame should be really easy, because this would logically be a very easy military campaign for America.Yeah but this is still a very small region
>>2374486>Countries use nukes because it's cheaper than deploying one marine brigade to deal with ragtag militias >Nuking Vietnam would've been a winning move>Dealing with random Haitians is the same things as committing yourself to a war economy LMAO you nudevs really are something else. No wonder your mod is this dumb when your devcord echo chamber produces these kinds of internal arguments.

>>2374787That's your response to everything. You just handwave away things by saying that people don't care just like when you were saying that Germany wouldn't care about their allies being shot by black nationalists a few threads ago. You're such a lazy, intellectually bankrupt moron. You fallete yourselves in your devcord but nothing you say stand up to scrutiny. You didn't even answer the earlier anons criticism. If anything you strengthened it. If they don't care, why risk a shooting war?>>2374791Nigga no one's risking WW3 over a random African wasteland. The actual hotspots were places that actually had some kind of strategic relevance. People aren't calling this dumb because they're contrarian but because DV and reworking all if Africa on the fly was a terrible idea that caused a myriad of narrative issues for the mod.
>>2374792I never said any of that your confusing me with someone else schizo. When Ghana gains independence in the late 50s Germany is going through an economic crash and a death war against russia. When they get out of said death war they’re not gonna start another one over Ghana of all places. According to your logic why should Germany care about Ghana either? >muh no strategic relevanceGhana allows the u.s. to have greater influence in west africa. In a Cold War every country that can weaken your enemy’s sphere of influence is relevant.

>>2374792>Nigga no one's risking WW3 over a random African wasteland. The actual hotspots were places that actually had some kind of strategic relevance. The US offering diplomatic support to Ghana is a lot less outlandish that the ground war in Africa between the US and Germany current TNO has. Surely you can see this argument doesn't hold much weight. At any rate, Africa has a massive population and a shit ton of resources to extract. It's very much a place you want in your sphere as a Superpower, and Ghana would allow the US to expand into the rest of the continent.I would call myself DV skeptic cause I don't think nudevs will be able to exploit the new scenario to its full potential, but I don't think it's an inferior set-up to Germany having three TND massive colonies with barely any content
>>2374822It's not unrealistic, it's stupid. These are very different things.>>2374827It's an inferior setup and I'll take their content over the snoozefest you're babbling about because no one gives a shit about Ghana.
All of this shit is because Calph started with mostly-OTL Africa and then worked backwards to justify itIt's all just handwaves that fall apart under closer scrutiny Funny how this applies to most of the shit the nudevs work on

>>2374717>>2374721>Japan actively funded rebel movements in IndochinaI dont know much about it, but i know for sure that they didnt fund Vietminh as they fought against it. And desu it sounds like a bullshit, cause Indochina was de-facto controlled militarily by Japan since 1940 and politically by Vichy France, their ally. Why would they arm rebels that will attack their own garrisons?>They didnt really lose, they just kinda gave upI mean, thats what losing essentially is. You lose if you cant achieve your goals. France couldnt achieve its goals and therefore lost. Laniel resigned as he realized he couldnt win the war and his successor's decision to cut the losses was backed by the entire parliament. Again, this logic applies only to democratic governments, because they cant afford themselves to wage an unpopular war.>Nuking is a step above military intervention, and a much larger commitmentJapan is the perfect example of what im trying to say. They can only "play a card" with no real consequences. Their political establishment is staunchly pro-american their population is staunchly pro-american too, including ultranationalists, with only communists opposing the US. But they are fucking communists, they would be against the US anyway. Nuking after WW2 was concidered an option by the top US generals such as LeMay and MacArthur so its not an imaginary scenario. The very choice to not use nuke was made by politics and will remain as such with only certain leaders having an opportunity (!) to use them if things get really ugly and nothing else works. And i personally find the scenario of a post-WW2 usage of nukes against minor states interesting enough to explore.Besides, im not here to defend Haiti-Vietnam parallel. Its just an example of a ragtag army defeating a first world power. We can discuss Algerian War as well, because it looks closer to Haiti in terms of geography.
>>2374760>That still doesn't mean that Haitian rebels would be able to be suppliedHow so? I have literally said that they are being directly or indirectly supported by the DR. How doesnt it change their ability to be supplied?>The number of Haitians doesn't matter if they don't have guns.Guns is never a problem as rebels always find a way to have them. It happened in LATAM and Africa multiple times with no clear soviet material support. Niggers in Kenya literally had bows and arrows to fight against GB and it took GB 4 years and concentration camps to deal with them.>You think the DR would ever have a porous border with HaitiIts not a question of what they want or dont want. These are facts on the ground. Both sides of the border are covered by jungles and DR border guard is either corrupt (Trujillo case in particular) or allows haitians to cross the border willingly.>The DR government has no reason to ever arm the Haitians nor aid in their rebellionCommunists will help them because they are communists, Bosh will help them because he is a left wing retard.>why would the US nuke Haiti instead of just blockading the Dominican RepublicThey could. And what would they achieve by that? The US blockaded Cuba, but Cuba was a total loss by itself, so blockade was a damage control measure.>When you have a very limited number of militants who can't get more supply, a prolonged war should be an easy victory for the USAThe longer the war drags the more unpopular it gets the bigger the government willingness to cut its losses become. The prolonged war for democracies is always worse than the swift war. The number of militants is virtually unlimited, because every local is a potential militant and you simply cant kill every local to achieve your goal (with nukes being a comfortable alternative). Look at Iraq. It was under the military occupation for 20 years and there are still militants attacking the US bases there.
>>2374844... And coincidentally, their development is the most fucked and dead out of all the powers.
Nuking Haiti/Gorky is retarded and makes as much sense as a scenario where Reagan ragequits Grenada by nuking the place. It's like swatting flies using dynamite and both scenarios could easily be handled with a single brigade. At least use the nuclear card in a conflict with actual stakes. I think everyone talking about the military merits of nuking the world's poorest, tiniest and most useless shitholes miss the actual point of the act which is to serve as cheap shock value. Both events are only meant to make you feel like the country doing it is bad and nothing else was ever considered.I'm sure you could think of a lot of reasonable use cases in-universe but chief this ain't it and that's deliberate on part of the nudevs.
>>2374877But look at all the mental gymnastics you can do to justify using nukes instead of just sending in the military to make a point about how evil RethugliKKKans and DixieKKKrats are!
>>2374383>4chan successfully bullies TNO's head janny Kateryna into reworking several of his tags.Source?
>>2374909Several of his charts were leaked because the other devs hate him and they include changes to things that /vst/ bullied him over. DESU we probably didn't cause it and is more likely a coincidence but it sounds funny.

>>2374867>I have literally said that they are being directly or indirectly supported by the DR.That is really dumb. Just knowing the region and its culture, there is no circumstance where the DR would arm Haiti. And even if they did, it would be incredibly easy for the US to stop that. America has so much economic influence on the DR that no government would resist an American request/demand to cease the arming of militants.>Guns is never a problem because rebels always find a way to have themHoly ignorance, Batman. There is a massive difference between a small and incredibly impoverished island nation and mainland Latin America. Haiti only has a few sea ports, which would be immediately and fully ceased by the US, and one land border with a nation who wouldn't support them.>The DR's border would be porous because it just would, okay?Well that's dumb. That has always been one of the most guarded and contentious borders on the planet, especially under Trujillo.>Communists will help HaitiWhich communists? TNO barely has any. It's a fascist world where the few remaining socialist states are loosely aligned with the US to fight the axis.>What would be achieved by a blockade of Hispaniola? The end of DR support for Haitian rebels.>What good did the blockade do in Cuba?We didn't have a military fighting in Cuba. If we did, we would have easily been able to destroy that government, or the rebels. We didn't choose to, which meant the regime changed and eventually sided with the USSR, preventing the US from intervening again. When US troops have actually been deployed in the Caribbean, we have always won quickly. We occupied and destroyed all resistance in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Haiti, and the DR during the Banana Wars in the early 20th century. Later we easily overthrew both Trujillo and the government of Grenada. There is no precedent for the US struggling in Caribbean island campaigns.(1/2)
>>2375025contResponding to >>2374867>The longer the war drags, the more unpopular it getsBut the war wouldn't drag. The US, with incredibly limited forces, has won the military campaigns in every direct military intervention in a Caribbean island in barely any time at all.Now would the occupation become unpopular? Yes. It was in real life when he occupied Haiti for 19 years. The only reason we stayed that long was because we managed to hold the island together with only 100 marines, which made it easily ignorable, but we did eventually leave. This gets to another issue with the nuking, there is just no reason to.If America had a quagmire in Haiti and we wanted out, we'd just leave. Haiti is a really irrelevant impoverished island nation. This isn't Cuba which was a powerful island which sided with our main geopolitical enemy, this would be a much smaller rogue state we would have little investment in.>Look at IraqThis is a terrible comparison.Iraq is 16 times the size of Haiti and over 4 times the population. Plus Iraq is a nation with huge ethnic and religious divides, a major religious subgroup which views war as holy, and is surrounded by neighbors which either harbor warlords or rich sheiks who would support religious terrorists.Haiti is a homogenous island nation used to dictatorships. When we left Haiti, the guys we propped up continued to run the island for 15 years.
>>2375025nayrt but:>Which communists? TNO barely has any. It's a fascist world where the few remaining socialist states are loosely aligned with the US to fight the axis. This isn't true. This SHOULD be true, but for some reason far-left ideologies including communism are still relevant, popular and important in TNOTL. Most of this boils down to lazy otlism that ignores that Germany won WW2 (many such cases) like Mexico and elsewhere like in Britain they can become far more powerful, important and relevant than even the premise would justify because the Britain lead is a pretend-communist.Good post overall. What I think ayrt is getting to is that there would be some kind of international brigade type of deal like you had in the Spanish Civil War for the Republicans, but I just don't see it happening. Even then, could you imagine seeing something of the scale of the fervor that you had for the Spanish cause in the 30s be replicated for some Caribbean Marxists, let alone enough to even pose a hypothetical threat to US marine presence? Don't think so. So even with communists being a thing, that argument is moot not just because of the cause but because getting there involves making it across the entire Atlantic ocean, evading the US navy and coast guard, and then landing in one of the country's few functioning ports without being detained by marines.
New TNO:RA Dengist tree toozer, focus loc is done and actual scripting and event writing is next
>>2375063>RA made by one guy probably gets playable Speer content for the 70s out years before TNO itself does despite being made by hundreds over yearsIt's not pretty, it's not perfect, but I'll take it.
>>2375067RA is not made by just one person anymore though, its a proper sized team (and still pretty sloppy all around very very honestly)Still better than TNO though
>>2375110Really? Can't be that big anyway. Even if it's a handful of people it's still impressive that they managed to get the old version working and then add more content than the TNO devs do. I realize that it isn't a 1:1 comparison but honestly I prefer their more KR/early TNO era content to GUI minigame extravaganzas... That never release and mostly concern third world countries I don't care about.
>>2375067>>2375110>>2375120The TNO:RA team is only a handful of people, with most of them working off on their own projects solo. There's one guy working on Japan, another guy who intermittently gives updates every few months who's working on Italy and the wider Italian sphere + France, Goodwinson who's working on Gang of Four Germany, and another guy who's working on Dengist Speer. The writing in the Dengist Speer path is much more verbose and long than standard RA content like Heydrich, almost to a fault.

So what's the current outlook for the future of TNO? when do y'all expect TMT to release? you guys think we'll get Yippe! Q4 2026-Q1 2027?It can't be all bleak right?
>>2375152>FutureWe're in the USSR and it's 1990.>TMTIt was supposed to release around the turn of the year. I have no idea. Sometime this quarter, maybe?>US rework this yearI'd sooner bet on peace in the Middle East.
>>2375155If only the devs were competent enough to put out some large updates that could give them so legitimacy. They need to release TMT soon to buy them more time and then shift development to Yippe! and DV and get those out by Q1 2027 IMO. after that maybe they would have more people on the dev team who are competent and maybe have different devs in charge so something like recent TNO doesn't happen again.
>>2375166>DV>Giving them legitimacy>Replacing Mango with Lamounier & Co>Improving things>TMT rehash of 5 years old content>Making anyone care
Was TMT actually supposed to come out in December?I know they definitely didn't mention anything about that on the discordWas there some internal memo saying that it comes out in December?
>>2375179There was never an official release date but they were hoping to release it in December or January. This kept being pushed forward, and the teasers for Iberia roughly indicate when they were optimistic for a release "soon". Right now we're in Brazil territory. Honestly it's not that crazy and things get delayed all the time. I think people just shit on TNO more because you just know there was some clique drama that made it worse.
>>2375197Nah, TNO is being shit on because delays are CONSTANT.Every update got major delays.
>>2375235Other mods also have lots of delays. I think it's because of all the reworks. KR fans? They have new 3I content to look forward to, delayed forever. TFR fans? Lots of new ACW unifiers, also delayed several times. TNO? African skeletons, island skeletons, GUI minigames, no map painting, entire original roadmap abandoned and replaced with Fiji. See what I mean? It's not just that it's delayed it's that what they're delaying isn't even what most people want.
It's not just a mod, it's a deprogramming tool.
>>2375039With Mexico there's the issue of Mexico in TNOtl not being revolutionary really. Mexico both in real life and in TNO, had moved way to the right by the 1960s, so they wouldn't be wont to support a revolutionary government in Haiti. And while yeah there would be plenty of Latin American marxists who would like to support Haitian rebels, you have the issue of the ports. There are and will be frictions between US and leftists in general.>We didn't have a military fighting in CubaRight, so having or not having the blockade is irrelevant as we are talking about military usage.>during the Banana WarsI already told you, these are not Banana Wars, everything changed. War has changed. 10 years ago there were no drones and now ukranian and russian armies are nearly equal thanks to them, now orange retard begs Iran for ceasefire thanks to them.
>>2375381>Do you really believe that the fall of the USSR means the end of the communist ideology? Not having any major or even middling power back it will reduce the reach and influence of the ideology and if you can't understand that that speaks volumes to the mentality of the team. It doesn't have to fully die to lose any major power projection.
>>2375030>But the war wouldn't dragWell, you mentioned the prolonged war.>in every direct military intervention in a Caribbean islandThere were 2 post-WW2 military interventions in the Carribean as far as i know: DR and Grenada. >>2375403>calls everyone a nigger as an insult>also believes Haitian nigger guerillas would be enough of a threat to the US military that it justifies fucking nuking Haiti
>>2375403Not by itself, no. You shouldn't be so smugly confident when you barely even understand the concepts you're try to talk about. An insurgency actually has to achieve something for it to matter and that's not going to happen as easily if the ideology is functionally dead and doesn't have any state power anywhere in the world. The fact that you use post-USSR movements like FARC as an example is just embarrassing too and you should feel ashamed of yourself for grasping at straws like this to justify the communist insurgency in Haiti being so big and bad it needs nukes to be put down. For starters, the USSR existing and propping up its ideology for fifty years isn't the same thing as communism being destroyed in its infancy and counter-insurgency in half of a tiny island isn't the same thing as fighting one in a country that's nearly twice the size of Texas. It's just one false equivalence after another with you, isn't it?
>>2375406But, goy, you don't NEED to nuke haiti, you can just give up instead of sending in the Marines :^)
>>2375406With all respect i have for you retard (none), im not sure that you even understand how hold a discussion. You are trying to make an argument and im successfully making a counterargument, an then you start crying about "muh its not identical to Haiti". Stupid fucking nigger you wont find two identical situations anywhere in the world as there are no identical things in nature. For starters, the third most important person in the US economy became communist at least in 1939 and somehow 20 years of existing was enough. Im sure niggers on some fucking island will be more stubborn to accept this ideology.
>>2375412If you don't understand why exhibit A being a hundred times larger than exhibit B matters then congrats, you somehow lack cognitive functions that most toddlers have. And again, you keep using examples that are invalidated by the mod's timeline. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised when the mod is riddled with so many other cases like Mexico and heaps of DV where the fall of the USSR is less than an afterthought as far as it's impact on the alt history. But yes, keep throwing around slurs like we care. We know you devs like to treat /vst/ as a Doki where you get to use the scary no-no words you moralize against others for using on Discord.

>>2375545You complete and utter moron, we are discussing realism and what do you think realism is? Of course you have to compare TNOTL events to OTL to define what sounds real and what doesnt. Fucking retard, im done with your stupidity, you dont deserve my reply.

You just appealed to OTL while ignoring every single timeline change and used false equivalences like comparing the tiny shithole of Haiti to the vastness of Colombia and pretended that these were 1:1 comparisons and then simply declared victory while calling people names whenever you got pushback. You're behaving exactly like we've come to expect of you devs.
>>2375558>what do you think realism isWhatever the leads say it is, you bozo. The fucking Nazis lost WW2 in our timeline. You can't just compare shit from OTL to an Axis victory timeline and expect them to make sense because there's an Elefant in the room.
>>2375558And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why TNO is as stupid as it is. This guy doesn't even understand that the realism of our world isn't applicable to TNO. It's exactly this kind of mentality that has led to you just bolting on OTL Africa onto an Axis victory timeline.

>>2374375Complete TNO newfag, found out about the mod few weeks ago, can anyone suggest what countries to play? I have finished Burgundy and I am trying Germany now, any other suggestions? But reading the threads I see a depressing picture of the mods future and Burgundy being threatened to be removed which I hope doesn't happen.
>>2375785Burgundy isn't particularly good or fun to play desu, so you've got the best ahead of you. Reccomend playing Guangdong, a Russian Warlord (Komi, Kemerovo and Amur are all good imo) and Brazil have good decade long content. USA is also fine and Britain if you don't mind it being short and blueballing you
>>2375785Burgundy along with most old content is being removed or replaced. The tl;dr is that the mod was hijacked. The current leads purged everyone that created what made the mod popular and it's been in a total dev hell since then while they frantically remove content. You're recommended to unsub from the "main" mod and play one of the reduxes instead. TNO: Rises Again is a mod that keeps all the old stuff including Atlantropa and builds on that while TNO: Requiem tries to add content to a 2024 build and it's a middle ground between the two. Sorry to break it to you but shit's fucked and TNO would be dead if it wasn't for these fan preservation projects. As for tags to play: all Russian warlords are worth playing but some are better than others. Komi is very varied and fun, Amur and Kemerovo have great writing, you can honestly find lots of good qualities in all of them. Guangdong is also highly recommended if you want to get into the economics of the mod with an interesting premise. It's not supported by RA though so that's worth considering since it's based on a build that predates Guangdong.
>>2375785Burgundy is confirmed to be removed and has been cut from dev builds for years. The only thing that's keeping it playable in the official Steam version is the coder bleed and expanding scope of Germany's rework which has stalled it for longer than I was in college.

For gameplay, it made a lot of sense. For Burgundy to take over Germany without Heydrich using the fallout of a 2WRW that went south could work, but it might seem lazy to just repeat the old SS coup lore which I think Rises Again keeps.
Any info on Requiem? They've been very quiet, no teasers and no leaks. When is that next update coming out?

My question is how to retain audience while doing nothing which is how it is in other mods like tno where art lives for far longer than it's creator. >a good mod like Rises Again Bruh. Like why there not going to be an option for Russia to get back Eastern Europe in the 2ndWRW, but the US can nuke Haiti for no reason?>Haiti's homogeneity would make an occupation harderNo it wouldn't, because all the US would have to do (and this is something we did multiple times in the Banana wars) is have a free election and leave, and there won't be more fighting since the population is homogenous. The reason Iraq and Afghanistan were suck quagmires was because they would devolve to ethnic and religious violence whenever we weren't guarding it.In Haiti an election could be held which would allow the US to just leave easily.
1978 German rifle, made exclusively for TNO:RA. Based off the real life SIG 550. The 1988 rifle icon has also been replaced with the icon for the G50 from modern TNO, which is based on the real life G36.
>>2376307Both of them stem from the devs IRL politics.Russia, regardless of who's in charge, will get sleepy east of their current borders, cave to Germany despite winning, and agree to recognize the borders of the RKs. >>2376476>But what was wrong with original UK?No real fascist paths, just different tories who would pivot away from Germany, gratuitous young Thatcher inclusion as leader, Wilson inexplicably libsoc but just implementing standard Labour policy, nonsensical Wales and Scotland, generally bad writing. We'll never see another Britain update again but if the rework's planned content had ever been made and released it would have been light years ahead of the Britain content on release, especially with the Jordan esoteric hitlerist path being a full path.
>>2376557The Ruin was a complete shitshow of an updateOriginally it was called Lech I Rus and was supposed to have Ukraine and Poland contentProblem was Poland dev was way too optimistic about how fast the content would get made and the devs were dumbfounded when they found out it wasn't close to being releasableThen they had to retool the update, renaming it to The Ruin and integrating TFL while indefinitely delaying Poland contentApperantly on the day of release Ukraine didn't even have all of it's GFX coded in. Utter shitshowNow, UK content is nowhere to be seen, undergoing a characterization rework for most of the paths (and deciding that Jordan will actually be playable and not a failstate) and as well they have to account for DV tooUkraine on the other hand, is getting the insurgency mechanic in TMT, which was intended to be a stop-gap for missing content. RK content is on indefinite pause, waiting for V&J to release, but it is getting skeleton content apperantly
>>2376550lmao you think i'm a dev ? Bormann have always been the most complete of the V&J paths. It's just Speer and the 1962-1964 who's lacking behind. Dumb goys like you are the reasons we'll never drop the git, all you know is shit on tno and call each other devniggers like some paranoiac commie

If they aren't, how's any of this supposed to work without at least a partial rework down the road?
>>2376709Yeah for pretty much all of them, they teased the trees for the Portugese contenders a while back>>2376718a friend on the team said that the idea is that they're going to build mechanics for Iberia's existing colonies (morocco and equatorial guinea) that they can slot DV stuff into later
>>2376732>We'll just bolt on a Denmark GUI later>Losing most of our coders to reworks and purges shouldn't make this an issueSame team that needed at least four years to even figure out what the GCW replacement should even look like btw. Your friend's probably retarded or new to the team if he doesn't know how bad their track record is with these kinds of things. And no, you can't just add back Portugal's colonial empire as a minigame and call it a day. It being destroyed is a core reason for Iberia existing in the first place. But they handwaved away Atlantropa no longer existing so maybe they'll do that for it as well.
>>2376737i meant that the mechanics for the colonies are apparently gonna be in TMT and then expanded when DV comes out, sorry i phrased that poorly
>>2376738That sounds a lot more reasonable. I still don't trust that they'll deliver anything good if only because DV is such a big narrative clusterfuck for the entire mod but at least that sounds manageable.
Apparently this is the bilibili leak for the presidents in Yippie https://files.catbox.moe/6itmn5.jpegThis was also said>Kennedy can survive, Nixon can serve more than 2 terms, up until end game, eventually transforming into a personalistic dictatorship. If both Dems and Reps fuck up and the 1972 election results in a deadlock, Hall wins D.C and somehow becomes president while the senate elects Reagan. Hall can get impeached or if he manage to hold and the CPUSA did well in the 74 midterms, Hall can moderate and becomes Left-wing Corporatist.Phyllis Schlafly can do something funny and turn fascist, however it'll lead to a series of impeachment resulting in 8 presidents in a short amount of time, before returning to normalcy.
>>2376978Translation would be nice
>>2376978>>2376979We already have this you retards, the Hall shit has already been proven to be fake
>>2376978The way that Harru-Sama becomes president is a hilarious bit of self-plagiarism.QPQ made a Campaign Trail mod about playing as Hall because he gets boosted as it is an election between evil democrat Jon Conarry and evil republican Nixon, so in TNO, QPQ makes so that having an election between evil democrat Jon Conarry and evil republican Schafiry boosts Hall that deadlocks the election
>>2376981Why do the devs have Hall in all their leaked shit if it’s fake
>>2376978Old and at best outdated, at worst inaccurate.>>2376981Pedantry but it's just the same shitty Hall from the original Vote Pig doc. So it's not fake just (allegedly) outdated. I say allegedly because the updated Hall content hasn't been leaked yet but the person that described it leaked other things and seemed credible enough at least.
>>2376988Gay.
>>2376986Stop me if you heard this before but TNO devs like to rework their shit over and over and over again. Old Moscowien design documents bear no resemblance to the latest leak not because they were all fake but because the devs casually destroyed years of work on a whim several times over.
>>2376988No its not outdated its just a fake flowchart they sent here to troll you people
>>2376999>Make a flowchart>It's mostly just stuff that already leaked>Nothing crazy>Just 50 boring ass centrist presidentsThis is what I don't get about their trolls. That's why no one believed your claims about trolling because you never presented any proof and it all seems so... Normal. These people are humorless retards however so it wouldn't be surprising if true. Any excuse not to work on the actual mod they killed and buried.

>>2377049And the content in that image refers to the shit written in Vote Pig where he became President on a technicality. Unless you want to allege that Vote Pig was fake too before Mango reworked his rework several times you just mixed up multiple different Hall documents in your head.>>2377052>KF is a hivemindYou might as well say that /pol/ is but I digress. The original TNO is just a fun setting, a nice blend of insanity in Germany's empire and a more grounded world around it that tries to adapt to its reality. There's a lot to like about it and even if you're a living /pol/tard caricature the "message" was always diluted through you being able to LARP, destroy entire continents, and have a few chuckles at events and happenings in between. It was a soulful piece made by people that cared and had heart, whatever we might think of them as people or their ideas for that matter.NuTNO is soulless. It's the modding version of when a company buys up a brand and then puts a committee in charge of it that hates the original product, fanbase and genre and seeks to recreate it for a mythical modern audience without understanding why anyone liked it in the first place. They care more about their corporate agenda and message than even Panzer et al, who at least at the end up the day understood that someone actually needed to want to play their thing for it to matter. They erased the original setting, they shoehorned in their own politics to a fault, and they drove the entire thing into the ground while insisting that third world countries having bases in Antarctica is a substitute for the SS giga LARPs they want to delete and replace with nothing.God hates nudevs.

>>2377203TFO has always been a good barometer for TNO's future plan. People used to joke about the fact that you could tell what their reworks were months or even years ahead of their public reveals just by looking at their old maps. Parts of DV and the removal of Congo Lake was shown in TFO a long time before it was revealed even to to TNO devs outside the inner circle of leads.
>>2377191Retard, do you even understand how the treaties work? To replace the 1920s treaty which was signed when the russian population there was at 10% you need two signatures: one from the russian and one from the estonian side. Estonian side did everything to enact the treaty, russian - did not.

>>2377223>Parts of DV and the removal of Congo Lake was shown in TFO a long time before it was revealed even to to TNO devs outside the inner circle of leads. What a blatant lie lmao, it's like no one will check what you've said or what? 26/12/2024, half a year before DV was announced to be integrated, weld made a teaser with the images of the TFO map, and Congo Lake was there. And just from looking at the African parts of the map, you can easily say they accounted for old lore (even though, with some tweaks, like the stalemate between the WAA and PALF in the West African War), not the DV one.26/07/2025, one day after the DV integration announcement, weld posts dev blog with the same title and the new Africa map, where you can no longer see the Congo Lake.
>>2377179t. people whose country was so depressing it spawned the disco elysium devs

You're still just an extension of the TNO nudevs at that point so it doesn't exactly change anything.
>>2377250Tfo and tno share a lot of devs which means that they have insider info on tno dev

Was just checking the france document, And saw an algeria doc, Does anyone have it or anything algeria related?
>>2377748This one was leaked ages ago. Most likely outdated.
>>2377765are there dv french africa flowcharts? like ivory coast or niger? if you dont have that, any other pakt flowcharts would be much appreciated
>>2377815I dont and i would like to see them too. But i still have some old ass leaks for Pakt.https://files.catbox.moe/xfzdpv.pnghttps://files.catbox.moe/z7t903.pnghttps://files.catbox.moe/4w4k3k.pnghttps://files.catbox.moe/48jovf.png

If anyone has some speer docs, flowcharts, leaks etc please post them to the thread.
The Red Order
>>2377923Hasn't that been dead for years?
Is it possible, for instance Germany, to win all the Cold War events or some of the events are just too strong, for USA for example, and you cannot win them all?
>>2377815I'm not posting it all because Africa devs are much better people than Katerynahere is Niger
>>2377992
>>2377993and here is Togo
>>2377995>>2377993So are the French/British unable to keep their African holdings?
>>2377992>Africa devs are much better people than KaterynaThey're all aspects of the same problem Kateryna wouldn't be able to make his swedewank content where Sweden constantly and overtly fucks with Germany and gets away with it because neutrality :^) if he wasn't friends with Lam.DV wouldn't be even considered for integration if Calph wasn't friends with Mango and the rest of the lead clique.
>>2378063True but the Africa devs are at least decent people most of the time. Antarctica team's work never leaks and no one mentions them by name here behind their backs because no one has any problems with them as people. If you zoom out a bit then you can see that the general thread doesn't get tons of leaks from KR and other mods because those people just get along it seems. What I'm trying to get to is: no one on the team besides a few leads likes her because she's a very abrasive person.
>>2378023they can reconquer most of them
>>2374855France won the Algerian civil war and gave them their independence due to international pressure, it's not similar

>>2378064>she>her>>2378135Beria was an opportunist piece of shit who was happy to take Stalin's orders no matter how brutal, and then the moment his boss croaked he turned into a liberalizer
>>2377992It’s really only for my own personal consumption so I won’t leak them if you sent it to me by dms cryshist is my discord

>>2374411Idi Amin Uganda? Nice
>>2377995anything or dahomey or the ivory coast?
>>2378246Either that or rhodesia
I don't understand how anyone can give a shit about the DV "content". None of it'll be playable, and even the things that look cool reek of wasted potential even if you ignore all that was lost to make it happen. If they'd just let you play as and larp some of these places then fine but it's mostly just as useless as any other skeleton that you can barely interact with and even then you're at the mercy of an AI or RNG Allah.
>>2378252If you're playing a superpower it sort of makes sense because the proxy wars do let you have a pretty big impact (especially for Japan and especially Germany who basically couldn't get shit in africa before). I do think if they were to integrate DV they should've at least waited for them to make Congo or Ghana content like they'd planned
>>2378257if africa were to ever get content, The nations should probably be, liberia, The ivory coast, ghana, Nigeria, Congo, rhodesia (maybe kenya?), and south africa. we really don’t need content for the rest
>>2378264oh forgot kamerun
>>2378257But we're just trading an interesting proxy war for proxy wars that are such boring footnotes that no one gives a shit about them. You have an alt history setting with infinite possibilities, and what do you do? For the most part the most soulless pragmatic cold war politics imaginable at worst and OTLism at best. Look: I don't give a fuck if an apolitical despot is aligned with power A, B or C. It's so boring, it's so soulless, it could only be concocted either by a corporate suit or an unironic NAFO highschooler. The original setting was really fucking dumb and the gameplay post-SAW was often bad, but there's just something epic about GIs fighting Boer Vietcong and SS hordes in the African savannah. There's a reason why these scenarios captured the imagination of hundreds of thousands, and why DV was met with such overwhelming scorn by the community that fell in love with TNO in the first place. It isn't even necessarily about the reworks and changing out old favorites. It's just so fucking soulless, unimaginative and uninspiring. It's like telling me to put my life on the line for neoliberal market dynamics. Fuck that.

>>2378135no nonces allowed
>2378268Germans are a soulless, bureaucratic, corrupt race. Any German victory scenario is soulless

>>2377123remember how there was an ostland rework that turned kovner into a good guy and made Vituska into generic dictator because some butthurt belter was mad that he was smart cuz he helped le heckin nazirino??? I mean that's cringe but at least there was some work done and the Jeckeln tree was kinda cool since you could invade all of eastern europe and explode into a civil war. I wonder what kind of new mechanics, focus trees, characters and narratives will they develop for this new setup that would compensate for the wasted thousands word long rework plans and the old content
Does anybody have a document of the First 2 years of Germany content? The ones with Hitler still alive
>>2378425I remember when there was a huge Jackeln tree and apocalypse. Devs had planned out years of content and additional CWs for the guy. In the end, what we got was... A vague outline for something they'll drop in a few years, honest guys, totally happening. Everything you mentioned is most likely gone too obviously. TNO somehow has more lost media than just about any other property out there.
TNO:RA Speer military tree.
