which rts game has the best chokepoint maps?
i've seen some in red alert and company of heroes
my favorite thing is to hold a chokepoint against masses of ai

Eh? Why not play a dedicated defense game like Creeper World, Infested Planet or Calyx?
In any case, you probably would enjoy TA derivatives like SupCom or Zero-K, since they have lots of defensive buildings and stuff.

Some campaigns (WRE) is essentially all about exploiting the chokepoints on maps (or making your own) both on the campaign and battlefields.

This is why RTS is dead btw. Most of the supposed fans only engage in it in a retard tier way that they should have grown out of at 10 years old.

Well it's dead because the developers are mostly clueless and stopped providing players what they want, allowing Total War and Paradox to sweep up the market.

At the end of the day RTS is a jack-of-all-trades genre that just isn't optimal for scratching a particular itch, so most players moved on to more specialized genres. Like if you want to micro, you have moba or RTT; if you like to build, there are town or factory builders; for larpers - grand strategy; for numbers go up - tycoons and idle games; for those who only like to watch - autobattlers and sims. The ones who stayed are compfags, modders and autists.
I'd say all the fans are weird in their own ways and something like 'a normal RTS player' doesn't exist.

all the self-proclaimed RTS "fans" on 4chan just want to play a glorified tower defense game

a: don't worry, they'll tell you about it!!!

well the average RTS dev apparently thinks they need to model their game on AoE, Starcraft, or CoH/DOW
