I've been feeling kinda tired of commanding armies and civilizations lately. I've been feeling an itch for a more personal strategy game. Something like being a small town mayor or minor criminal boss. Not really those specific vibes just that scale. But nothing I currently have is really like that. Any recommendations?no squad tactics games. not because i dont like them but because ive already played them.

>>2383941Played it.
>>2383945Not exactly a strategy game per se but Sid Meiers Pirates is a banger if you've never tried it

>>2383940Depending on how you define strategy liberal crime squad maybe

>>2383940So basically lieutenant tier command levelPort Royale (has some minor crime options like setting main warehouse on fire, which will bring island's prices down and allow you to sell at even bigger profit)Anno series though thats more governor level and not mayor, although you will mostly have 1 main island. Espionage options can be considered as crime since you employ criminals for it.Sea dogs series lets you be a criminal as a pirate and smuggler. Rimworld should fit too, especially if you set up ideology that fits criminals/raidersBannerlord though crime options aren't big without mods - you can raid villages, caravans, ship convoys, have criminal alleys in towns but thats about it.>>2384009>>2383980These are good recs too
>>2383940Warband or Bannerlord, specially if you stay as a bringand/adventurer/minor noble (which is the most fun IMO, miss dark knights and prisoner trains).
>>2384159Port Royale looks interesting, which one is worth playing?>>2384009steam store mentions organic development, what does that mean for gameplay?
>>2384533it means that you zone your map (farms, homes etc) with a paint tool and villagers build randomly on these areas and eventually paths and roads appear between buildings

>>2384533For Port Royale, I only played 3 so can personally vouch for that. From reviews I see 4 changed ship combat to turn based-instead of real-time but then again, its not the combat that is the focus, its the "buy low, sell high, invest and repeat" cycle. There is also pirate start and combat oriented start but I didn't play pirate one, and a couple of scenarios to unlock which I haven't got to yet.I know also of anon who hates 3 for some reason and prefers 2 but he never stated his reasons.Foundation's organic development is cool since buildings are static slots in squares but actually adapt to the zone and space available, meaning if land available is in shape of a triangle, building will be triangle.
