Is it just me, or does Frostpunk 2 lack a certain special something? It feels like I'm just balancing numbers without any fun or emotion behind it.

It is less personal. I don't know how to explain it any other way. You don't get to see your guys go to work or child miner waddling to the mines. This also hits the atmosphere of the game pretty hard.
