New update editionhttps://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/open-beta-update-1-is-now-live-not-for-problem-reports.1940877/Any good mods this season? I'm fond of Kuromi's AI at least as a replacement for Anbeeld's revisions
If you're so good at the game you pansies, surely you know how to steer Greece in 1836, right? HELP ME
>>2484533no I'm bad, fuck off
>>2484533This was done on prior patch, but I doubt it's changed massively.Focus on improving relations with Russia. Secondarily the UK, you can get their island state off them for free via the journal if relations are high. Also stops them joining in against you, as they sometimes ally ottomans.Doesn't really matter if you support the German king or undermine him, larp as you wish either way. Hover over the event bar to see what's effecting it, there are some easy ways to change it like removing your German culture generals from armies. Only catch is you want to be Byzantine purple map colour, you need to be a monarchy, so make sure you don't fail it and swap to a republic.Get 20 odd infantry (conscripts are good) to hold the line against ottomans, your first war you won't be able to beat them 1v1, need to get Russia in. Check their likelihood of joining war, savescum if you need, often times they are happy to join for releasing Bulgaria or the like. You can also use the support sepretism button against ottomans, some of your cores may pop out. There are very few industrial goods (I think coal) in mainland Greece, one of the states in Asia minor has a huge deposit, you'll need to take it if.you want to industrialise, definitely by the 2nd war against Ottos.Once the ball is rolling you can expand as far east as you like very easily, Turkish culture has 0 base acceptance for a Greek state though, so you may want to utilise puppets if you don't want revolts, alternatively try for multiculturalism though that doesn't necessarily fix everything. Alternatively just go west, may be harder depending on how strong Austria is, bobbing into Italy may also be fun
How have people found the new beta? I'm starting a new game to get up to speed again after dropping off for a while, is it grand to play the beta or is it a bit buggy and I should go back to the latest full patch?
>>2484905Current beta is fine, not seen any problems in it. Think it's much better than the full patch in its current state. The wars are a lot easier now. You don't need to occupy their entire country and to full genocide to win.
>at war to take state>get event that gives me claim on that state>war goal disappearsHow do you deal with this or get around it?
>>2484533Northern Macedonia, what the turks call Sküpia and the greeks call Vardaria, is a wonderful province. Plenty of wood, plenty of Iron, load of Bulgarians you only need a racial separation law change to accept (still best to go for cultural exclusion). When you get Atmospheric Engine that state will allow you to build up your construction sector really fast. Lots of people go for Ionia because they got PTSD from when the trade system was really bad and Coal was almost impossible to get if you didn't own a state producing it.Also putting enlistment effort will give you 10+ extra conscripts in athens. Use forced march on the army you put the conscripts in to get your army up before the ottomans blow you another hole.Start improving relations with England and the Ioian Islands on day one. Keep a watch on Russia if they lose opinion on you because you're improving relations with a rival. It's best to get those isles early.
>>2484533>>2485127Forgot, you will need railways very soon or northern Macedonia will start losing market access very soon. Though as greece you're supposed to beeline for that right after nationalism anyway.
>>2485181The game... used to make private investment go down when your GDP went too high? It's not good for pre-industrial economies with no capitalists or (rich) shopkeepers. It doesn't allow you to do monopolies but it does grant an extra company compared to similar laws.If you don't want the industrialists to get super rich and take control of your politics even more than they do normally...If you want to nationalise buildings such as foreign owned ones...>>2485387Are your gov dividends more efficient than your dividend tax even when not considering the cost of paper mana? Is having a bunch of rich consoomers bad for your economy? If you were simply going to use that money to pay for more buildings, is it overall more or less money going to reinvestment than through the private owners?I do not expect you to know the answer as it changes depending on circumstance and it's not like there's a diagnostic tool to tell you.
I just want to say I think they did a really good job of choosing icons for their laws.

>>2484533>friendsies with russia>kill ottomansthere is no secret, just make sure to conquer their lands in the balkans so you don't suffer too much from cultural minorities movements
>>2485914i hate planned economy
>>2484533if you want help just post your game as you play
>>2485966Cute ottoman empire.
>>2485914It's cool. I hope we one day get this level of love for the fascists!
>>2486027They shouldn't have had the game go past 1920 in the first placeThose last decades always felt forced in vic 2 as a way to tie into HoI - If facism ever gets expanded upon it should be on the last game update, even if it makes the chuds seethe
>>2485914Neo-marxists are some of the most pathetic cult followers I have ever seen.
Playing as New Granada. I just formed Gran Colombia and took North Peru as my subject. If I'm trying to go for Federation of Andes, should I make a power bloc(Im rank 12)? Is becoming monarchy to get Sovereign Empire worth it?
>>2486027>I hope we one day get this level of love for the fascists!good one, very funy.>>2486109>fascism only suddenly appeared in 1922 with no past.>everything i don't like is fascism.icant
>>2486187yes make one but make a trade bloc and invite the central american shitterstheres basically no downside to power blocs even if you just get no cohesion, the relations are improved back up quickly enough
>>2486267Nice try gpt, but that last "quote" you pulled from the aether gave it away
>>2486269>central americaEven if I intend to annex them? I'm running a mod that adds Patria Grande as a formable nation.
>>2486283well of course not then. personally i'd just protectorate them and keep them around until you go for the formationunless your mod makes patria grande into a major formation with unification candidates where the shitters could support you for free annexation
>>2486267>>fascism only suddenly appeared in 1922 with no past. The history of fascism is really interesting. It arose out of unusually nationalist socialists who were pro-war. But it was a tiny, fringe movement until it teamed up wtih old reactionary forces like landlords and oligarchs.Fiume's model was very different than Fascist Italy, despite aesthetic similarities.
>>2486294>it was a tiny, fringe movement until it teamed up wtih old reactionary forces like landlords and oligarchsicant, can you just skip to the fascism is late stage capitalism part? i'm tired of watching breadtube
>>2486294They could split the ideology into "Revolutionary Fascism" and "Aristocratic Fascism" I guess? ATM there's really nothing that represents weirdos like d'Annunzio. And if socialism has>state socialism (formerly social democracy)>anarchism>vanguardism>communism>utopianism>nihilismfascism could have variants too, right?>>2486297But that is literally what happened historically. Fascism emerged from eclectic socialists but only had a couple thousand followers until Mussolini started appealing to the old power structures, at which point his popularity skyrocketed.
At threat of adding yet more bloat to the laws, I think colonial policy should have a new one.No colonial affairs should prevent or slow incorporating non-homeland states.A new one should speed up incorporating states. And then exploitation should arguably prevent or slow incorporation. The main reason is reading yesterday's dev diary, it feels very, well, commie minded, to say you are either a dirty pigdog colonial imperialist or not, and I'm not even considering "What if communism arrived before the scramble for africa ended", just what the only communist country everyone knows had a policy of... one nation communism.I'm still annoyed that will still be Marx a trade unionist you can slam into leading your workers via event and not an intelligentsia activist, or even just an intelligentsia politician, y'know that role the game used to have that meant "Exists but is a literal who because not everyone wanted to overthrow the government or start mass rallies".
Is there a mod that improves building UI or is everyone just raw dogging it?
>>2486319what the hell is Internal Colonization
>>2486319no they should add more laws and more amendmends and more ways for ideologies of different IGs to change and also more different ideologies across nations
>>2486319why would any workers group support multiculturalism and no migration controls, which will inevitably cause brain drain in the third world and make wages and thus living standards much lower in the nation in question?
>>2486341Heh
>>2486331Promotes migration into unincorporated/underpopulated states, but without actual colonization into decentralized countries?
>>2486341kek, really never do hit them huh
>>2486341
>>2486341>multiculturalismInternationalists were in favor of it historically (usually, there were a few exceptions)>no migration controlsHonestly can't think of the communist theorists ever talking about it either way. I do know Bernie Sanders argued open borders is bad for workers.
>>2486027Full fascist content would be epic. But given most people don't even play to 1910, I dunno if it's happening.
>>2484533>Make contracts with GB and Russia to get bunches of resources >Improve relations with GB and Ionian Islands for journal entry>Royal marriage with Russia for free good relations >Day 1 remove landlords from government, expel their German leader, put them back in>Pass Autocracy >Save infamy by not conquering the Ottomans too quickly. Only take states you have a claim on until they become unrecognized in 1966>Use your infamy on getting North African subjects instead, you can use France to get a foothold>Focus on society technology, get National Sports quickly because the Olympics make you a Great Power>Make the generic mining company first then Kouppas
>>2486319>that will still be Marxthat Marx will still be*Fuck my brain.>>2486331Who knows! Sounds chuddy.>>2486341lol, lmaoI'd be curious what border policy was back in the 19th and early 20th century, since I don't know if the modern concept of a passport was adopted within the timeframe of the game for real countries aka western countries, so I can't imagine how that might colour commie beliefs of what even an open border constitutes. But then this game does have ahistorical mass migration via free-to-use teleporters and I'm certain paradox studios wouldn't become frothing nazis if such technology were invented.
>>2486374vic3 migration is basically applied modern migration to the time which is extremely historically inaccurate as you probably know. People migrating like they do today has more or less never really happened and migrations were usually a collective thing during extremely horrendous times or out of desperation. People didn't really move to the u.s at the time simply because "oh look, the steel plant down in kentucky would pay me ten bucks more than here in westfalen", it was mostly done in waves of lower-middle to underclass people looking for a desperate attempt to evade complete poverty and hunger. Thus "border policies" of the time would be completely different than modern. Yes there of course in some countries, mostly western, where border control would be done, but the states at the time simply didn't really have the ability to nor administrations for modern border control.
(carlist) spain is surprisingly nice even being stuck on traditionalism for half the game
>>2486788You can get your empire back even with normal spainFurthermore, normal spain has all the jounal entries carlist spain has. So with carlists you are basically playing spain, but worse
>>2486793yeah but as carlist spain all my kings are called carlos
>>2486796Yeah I suppose that’s kinda neat
>>2486799actually thought the carlists had something going for them but by the time i realized they suck i already subjugated gran colombia and then i didnt feel like restartingeven traditionalism cant stop the inevitable rise of super companies and industrialist clouton another note getting off child labour for the technocrat JE is still almost impossible
What's the highest birthrate you ever birthmaxed?
Why can't I move Dutch East Indies army anywhere? I don't understand what I need to build to be able to ship them around.
>>2486027I hope we get homofascism
>>2487032Guido Keller was an actual unironic homofascist
>>2487009you need boats
To the guy talking about his dutch east indies becoming independent all of a sudden. Had the same thing happen to me as byzantium. Though they stayed in my block that had a shared market so I didn´t care too much about it.
Always feel a wicked sense of pleasure when a country burns through 50+ infamy to attack some other country and I jump in and beat the shit out of them.
Tip: if a revolution manages to beat your puppet and you, you can still subjugate them again if you pause immediately and if your bloc is a Sovereign Empire
>>2486788>no florida, california or new mexico
>>2487252do you even need to pause, i had a revolution in my puppet win without me noticiing because i wasnt called in for some reason but they stayed in my empire bloc so i subjugated them a few years later again (i needed to save up cohesion to subjugate someone bigger)
I love making my people eat straw for 20-40 years so I can pump up a giga economy and subjugate other countries solely to fill their markets with cheap shot.
I made all the greeks move to Athens and fucked up the larp.
>>2487377>not putting promote national values on every state
>>2487377better than bantus in bosnia desu
Releasing countries in a war should probably incur some infamy, or at least for nonsense states like Wales and Aquitaine. You are fucking over a sovereign state just because you can. At least deleting half of France should cost more war score.
>>2484533Throw Russia under the buss the second they stop fighting all your wars for you. Ukraine is a very good country to make russia release for joining your block and stealing their pops.
>>2487417you dont like getting all of occitania for free?they should also add a way to liberate nations that already exist, like liberating greek land ffom the ottomans
>>2484751>>2484533you can go subjecthood+strong clergy and convert the turks, it will make them more tolerated and strong clergy will give you pop growth
>>2487417there's should be some kind of justification for it irl british media worked nonstop creating fake nations and peoples which then could be used by the british state against it's enemies with diplomacy or warvic3 even has the best example of this from the period with circassian genocide event spam forcefeeding you stuff directly from the british newspapers
>>2487438no you go cultural exclusion and force assimilate, sit on high legitimacy and tank the radicals for a whilereligious bloc is good tho
>>2486297Negro
Has anyone here ever bothered with Cultural Commonwealth? Seems pretty worthless.
>>2487449I'm excited for the new DLC because the Reform or Revolution minigame will finally create an actual use case for PB principles other than Trade Union or Sovereign EmpireI want to create the Third Internationale and enforce ideological orthodoxy
>>2487451You're still not picking cultural commonwealth in that scenario. It doesn't even have a statue like the other blocks.
>>2487333I always pause because they normally leave the bloc after a few days
>>2487452yeah I was using your post as a springboard to lament the shittiness of power blocs in generalit annoys the fuck out of me that out of the 6 principles you get>2 "you're literally stupid if you don't use this" tier strong>2 that are kind of useful but mogged to death by the first two>2 that are pure RP and contribute basically nothing
>>2487449It's good if you want to game the shit out of major unifications, you can make superiberia/superitaly/supergermany by adding the primary culture onto a related target. I haven't tried using it in SA yet but you might be able to absorb central america+mexico into the federation using it as well
Anybody here ever stay as EIC after independence from UK?
>>2487536It's funny they made a block that's completely useless 99% of the time but also lets you annex all of Europe if you game it a little.
Would Cultural Commonwealth be good for countries that are low on primary culture pops(Liberia, the East Indias) to force other cultures to generate pops for them to later annex?
>>2487687It'd be pretty useless for liberia on account of african americans speaking english (and thus being a "germanic" culture) but it could be useful for a subject-heavy country like EIC because same culture vassals are more loyal
>>2487687I think you would be better off using the "Vassalization" edict, get a bunch of mini vassals (think crete, ionan isles and cyprus, malta) and put "national unity" edict wherever possible
>>2487449>some players use migration quotas to GDP maxx>paradox: "Let's make quotas a bloc type!"What is this supposed to represent historically?>read reddit>"youtubers annexed all of europe for zero infamy with it!"Gross Germanium HRE larping? Napoleon Bonaparte?
Has anyone made a guide for idiots infographic like for V2. Trade is kicking my ass.
>>2488120Build one trade center in every state. The AI is really bad at economy so global trade is near nonexistent.
How the hell does this work? How am i supposed to know which parties will work together? Just mindlessly clicking through all options?
>>2488149its not that many combinations to try to get the ig you want in government in a way that keeps legitimacyor you just pick one of the top 3 that are displayed
>>2488149Three things matter for legitimacy: govt type, ideological (in)compatibility, and trustworthiness of govt. japan's starting government demands the presence of the ruler's IG in government because 50 legitimacy is tied to it and the landowner clout is high enough to be a significant part of it too. Bakufu/monarchy also has a significant penalty for ideological differences in government so you're not gonna be able to have a functional government with anything that severely contradicts landowners on law preference
every post on the vic3 reddit is made by trannieshow many of you are secretly in skirts
>>2488155The top 3 are the "illusion of choice" meme:-You can't pass anything-You can't pass anything-You can't pass anything
>>2488149Memorization. It's a shit system because it's dependent on leader traits, so it's not even consistent over time. If you have elections then forget about ever having consistent legitimacy.
It's 1900 and i'm still stuck with Bakufu lol. Just fucking kill me senpai...
>>2488160*commiesAlthough the overlap with trannies is natural.
>>2488202Let me guess, you're playing without the DLC?
>>248820430 Eurobux (+tax +tip) is a tough sell.
>>2488120I would if I had any graphical knowledge but till then.Build as much construction as you can afford without going into dept early game.Focus on building resource builidings for construction early game, wood and cloth and tools for lumber camps.Switch to iron construction when you get atmospheric engine and steel tools.Avoid dept like the plague if you're an unciv, try to avoid it if you're not a great power.Unless you really want a law keep the government parties that give you most legitimicy in power.Keep an eye on goods the government uses. If paper is very expensive and you use it in your government you should increase your suply of paper, if wood is expensive increase your supply of that, etc. This is just my opinion but some farm buildings can be really good early game. Tobacco, opium, fruit, etc. They make you plenty of money and are cheap to build. Consumer goods may be left to your capitalists.
Capitulation in the beta is odd. Enforcing certain wargoals mid-war can cause the enemy country to instantly capitulate the war. e.g., enforcing release Manchuria on Qing will give you all other wargoals for free.
>>2488202You aren't building farm buildings early? That'll cause you some trouble.>>2488204I have done it in the mid 1800s without the dlc. It mostly comes down to doing the normal construction cycle.
>>2488217>You aren't building farm buildings early? That'll cause you some trouble. You're being ambiguous there anon. Should i or should i not build farm buildings early?
>>2488222As any east asiatic countries you should not build farms early. Subsistance rice farms hire twice as many pops per arable land than other agricultural buildings.
>>2488225And rice farms are terrible because peasants produce an overabundance of food. Agriculture sucks ass and should be ignored 90% of the time.
>>2488230There's tobacco, dye plantations and some other farm buildings that under the right circumstances will net you a tidy profit. But as japan they'll produce nothing but the unemployed and unrest till you get your peasants into factories.
>>2488232So anything but rice farms is ok? Japanese peasants want quite a lot of tobacco.
>>2488232Tobacco is the most profitable but is outperformed by wood. There is literally no reason to build agriculture.
>>2488238Only when you hit a surplus of avaible farmland in a state and think you can outbuild new births. >>2488240What about when you run out of avaible wood?
I hate that the mining and lumber industries are the best industries because those buildings have a hard limit, you use iron and coal for everything and when wood stops being important you've won the game.
>>2488245the best companies*
>>2488242By the time that happens you go full in on iron/coal/tools. Demand for tobacco is actually satifsied much more easily than you think. Trade is nerfed to shit on current patches you won't get more demand, unlike construction goods. Agricultural profits fall off hard in the late game. The only country that benefits from building agriculture is Cuba, and even that is only the case for the first 10 years.
Timings to go in on Korea as Japan? It's always so annoying micromanaging when China will be weak.
>>2488273Ally Russia and let them do the work for you (works as soon as you get recognized). Keep in mind Korea kind of sucks and is not worth the effort. Shengjing alone has more resources than Korea.
>>2488273invade russia instead then fight china on land
>>2488291Doesn't work in this patch. Russia actually defends Siberia. It's better to ally Russia.
>>2488288but muh larp
What the fuck is happening here?
>>2488338im pretty sure independence wars break subjecthood only if the subject wins and not before
>>2488348I've just seen Ottomans at war with Serbia, with Hungary supporting Serbia and Croatia supporting Ottomans while Austria sits there doing nothing, all within dual monarchy... Make it make sense.
>>2488354puppet tier vassals can declare wars without their senior being called in and the countries they declare war at can declare counter war goals on them.So you may see your vassal completely annexed because they picked a fight with a bigger badder country.
>>2488362protectorate tier vassals*
>>2487401I got greedy and used the edict mana for consumption taxes.>>2487410at least bantus don't have all of the balkans as a homeland
LMAO, even reddit realized this is a clicker game.
>>2487401I wish i could just deport them instead of assimilating them.
>>2488431kek, i've said it since i started playing.Vic3 is probably the worst, if not at least the most offensive, grand strategy historical game i can think of. To present itself as a historical representation of the 19th century and just so blatantly be nothing more than a the progressive equivalent of a fourteen year old's nazi power fantasy larp is astonishing.Although as a braindead cookie clicker to just consoom, it's actually one of my favourites. Fun and easy to mod too. I think they really should try to lean into the cookie clicker aspect more than the historical aspects if they want a wider audience.
>>2488431yet again i stand here vindicated
>>2488431>>2488487>>2488513embarassing samefag
>>2488532Every thread must have at least one schizo
>>2488532
>>2488431This seems like a trait of many modern strategy games. Eu5 has exactly the same feelings. Just like tik tok brainrot is the natural end result of film all games work towards having you click as many buttons as possible and the more you click the more clickable buttins you get.
Quick, post what mods you're using.
>>2488551Yeah, he seems to apparently feel some sense of duty or responsibility to god-defend this game from chuds on 4chins. He just repeats the same like four lines over and over again>muh samefag>muh haven't played the game>muh chudi've just ignored him hoping he goes away, i genuinely don't get why he's here rather than just staying on plebbit.
>use the war with russia to distract qing>attack>start baval invasion on beijing>win 2 battles, 50% occupation>remove general>invasion stalls>wait>wargoals auto enforce>win
>>2488737how exactly does one play japan in the dlc?like with the JE's and such, what should one choose for what outcome?
>>2488742i didnt really do much, went hardliner in the tempo reforms and barely managed then chilled growing the economy and went into these lawsthinking about dropping guild system, passing technocracy and going full zaibatsu
>>2488765>peasant propietorshipthat's one way to nuke the landlords I guess.
>>2488768desu i got it in like 1870, interventionism right after, when the landowners got a modernizer leader. they basically voted themselves out of existencealso agrarianism - serfdom isnt actually that bad here in asia, spamming agriculture creates unemployed radicals but that way the investment pool is forced to build industry, boosting capitalists in the process
>>2488777while i can't say if agrarianism isn't bad I can say it's not terrible like traditionalism.
>>2488787I think it works well with banana plantations and coffee as the landowner investment pool can be used to industrialize then you can go into something else
>>2488792And unlike interventionism your landlords won't hate it as much and your rurals will support it so it's relatively easy for uncivs to enact it early..
>>2484409Is this game good yet??
>>2488812Im enjoying it. But that's probably because I got it on sale.
>>2488777I had like half the country as radicals and couldn't pass anything.
>>2488880what's your construction strategy like?
>>2488880It means you didn't construction-loop hard enough.
>>2488881>Look at what's missing>Build itLike should i have made more armies and a navy to get some more demand? I had about 40 million gdp by 1870, observing the ai it gets that 20 years later.
>>2488891>>Look at what's missingConstruction and government goods then? You shouldn't bother with consumption needs till very late.I think you'll get plenty of demand by building up your logging camps, iron minds and other things for the construction-loop.
>>2488880dont force ityoure gonna run into radicals early midgame anyway, if you cant get reforms you want because big interest groups block it just sit on a reactionary government with high legitimacy for loyalists
>>2488915I think he should get off agrarianism at least.
>>2488915But how do i get to Empire of Japan then? Afaik i need to get out of Bakufu.
>>2488891>Like should i have made more armies and a navy to get some more demand?LMOA, no. You should build nothing but construction goods until 1860.
Don't simply build whatever is most expensive. Build what will increase government budget the most. Don't look at only income, but also expenses. 90% of your budget will be spent on construction, so making construction goods cheaper will giver better returns than literally anything else.
>>2488925Logging camps are also amazing. The best building in the entire game.
You can, by putting your army in the government and bribing your clergy, get agrarianism not so soon into the game. Both you and your private que income should more than double once that happens.
>>2488855I mean I will pirate it kek... I just want to know if it has more/better content compared to release version
>>2488932Charters of commerce and the update it came with unironically saved the game, it'll never be as chudpilled as vicky 2 but it's still fun in its own right
>>2488934Danke!
>>2488880i really struggled on my last japan run too high literacy is a double edged sword, i didn't get off the ground until like 1900s because br*tain stole korea so i had no subjects to boost my government income
Here's my budget at 1862. Notice construction goods alone take up 60% of all state expenses. Income tax is so small it may as well not exist. Making construction cheaper is always the correct choice 100% of the time. The second highest expense is paper, which is a literal fraction of that.
>>2488921you wait for the honorable restoration JE you get after opening up the countryyou open the country either by presssing the button and destabilizing yourself or getting rid of isolationism the regular way when you get the chancethen in honorable restoration you go for the taikun path except you purposely go shit legitimacy when you press the button (or alternatively just pass oligarchy / any other form of voting afterwards)
>>2488956So you're saying when the Russians come and demand i open up i should take that and not fight them? I did fight them and got a white peace.
>>2488953I think it's convinent to pin the most important goods. So you know when there's a shortage of anything. Also, does the japan dlc block foreign countries from declaring war to open your market? The UK has done so three times by now but I have cheated to make them accept a white peace. It feels a lot like cheating.
>>2488973>>2488972The DLC lets you open up so quickly the AI doesn't get a chance to declare war on you. Isolationism is absolute garbage (it got nerfed) so opening up ASAP is always correct.
>>2488977Well, if you can't reform out of isolationism what then?
>>2488979Bro just surrender to GB when they open your market. If they don't declare then just pass mercantilism. It's not that hard.
>>2488973>i cheated and it feels like cheating
>>2488997The britshitters opening my market befroe 1840 when the landowners sitll have 99.99% of political power feelsl like sheeting.I actually cheated to stop from happening at once.

>>2489001The DLC lets you open up for free in 1838. Japan is a cheat unciv.
Ok, followed all the tips. This is the result lol.

Would you call paradox trying to obfuscate technology only associated with Europeans as a kind of universalism to be, how do they say it when it's a bad thing... cultural appropriation?I'm also not sure why this tech unlocks Luddites. I'm also not sure I like paradox's interpretation of luddites. The strangest part is you can find marxist historians who make very convincing arguments that they were trve marxists, or if I put it simply workers are poor and hungry, workers steal and smash, owners shoot to kill, government enforces property as a right and criminalises the poor with incarceration, execution and transportation (exile/deportation/Australia), everyone's miserable at the end of the day. Instead in game,>luddite: only rural folx (yes) and clergy (huh?)>has: victorian or soviet economy law (by the way, luddites were pre-victorian)>bad approval>5 tiers of heavy industry (why not any industry?)>unemployment (yes)>pollution high (... I think SoL should matter more)>for agitators: does not have both industry banned AND isolationismaka they're the anti-progress, anti-industrial, anti-development, anti-player, when, arguably, they should not be an IG ideology but something related to states getting turmoil but with added throughput losses. And to be solved by getting any internal affairs or policing law because worker-owner-government relations are completely outside this game's scope. I mean, you could even just chalk it up as a mechanic that find resurgence when anarchism is "discovered" and remove anarchism as an ideology too. It's basically the same thing, people pissed off that they're poor and random violence ensuing but this time politicians are a target (and assassinations shouldn't be an event that only happens when passing secret police, secret police should prevent the event).
>>2489372Luddites still exist today. Any sort of technological change that upsets the labor market brings them out, but they only become a problem if a country is already having problems.
>>2489376>Luddites still exist today.I've seen indian workers smashing solar panels for what might be a pay dispute (news travels poorly so I don't trust it) but first world countries have solved it.

After trying all three options, I think religious schools is the best option for Japan. Conversion > assimilation, and public schools actually gives you *too much* literacy. Private school is so weak it's barely different from no schools (maxed out it gives you 40% literacy).
>>2489384Well I can remember a few high profile stories from where I am, where strong unions interfered legislatively with rail automation slashing jobs, by using an unfalsifiable 'ealth and safety excuse, but I'd be hesitant to call what I can think of as luddite.>>2489398Who do you need to convert?Do you mean too much literacy because of working class radicals?
>>2489372That¨s a lot of words for an ideology that doesn't happen 99.9999% of playtroughs with the reminder being people who introduce universal suffreage as Qing or Russia.
>>2489408If you're going shinto you need as much conversion as possible. Although shinto sucks so I don't recommend it. In general conversion is better than assimilation. Assimilation is both slow as molasses AND useless, while conversion makes pops more accepted. Too much literacy is bad because it increases wage expectations/radicalism and lowers birth rates. Public schools give you way too much of it, while the assimilation bonus does nothing.

>Wargoal Infamy Rebalancing>Complete rework of how infamy from wargoals is calculated. Infamy is now calculated against a state’s share of global GDP and population rather than a flat value, so that it scales properly throughout the game. It is also generally higher for very consequential states and lower for inconsequential ones (taking London gives a lot of infamy, Dutch West Indies not so much). Costs for non-conquest war goals were also rebalanced to be more appropriate to their impact. All uncivs just became free real estate.

If state construction of wood and iron is all it took to get industrialized, why didn't IRL countries do it? Were they stupid?
>>2490648The answer is closer to "yes" than you would think. One of the main reasons why economic development was so slow in the past is because development requires production, and production requires investment, and investment requires wealth. For most of history, the people with wealth were either landowners or merchants, neither of which really required much industry to get wealthy, so they didn't see the need to invest in production as a way of making money. When we play a game, we understand the long-term positive effects of increasing production, and so we know that grabbing all the country's wealth and investing it into increasing production eventually makes us more powerful. This leads to ahistorically rapid economic development. This sort of strategy wasn't employed by real governments until Stalin's Five Year Plans.

>>2490928Fix game? No, add more features on top of the broken mess
>>2490928>Let’s start with the fundamental one, the impact on ships and their movement. If a sea node’s Cold value is high enough, it starts slowing down ship movement speed, up to the point where ships barely move at all when they’re enclosed by ice.So be mindful at what time of the year you send your ships through the Baltic for example. A ship will immediately be slowed down when entering a node affected by severe enough Cold.>The last effect that the Cold has is the impact on trade. Trade Centers whose state is connected to a sea zone affected by severe Cold will have a significantly reduced Trade Capacity, which will hinder their ability to conduct trade of course. So shifting some trade towards an area with less winter problems might be a good idea if you’d like to avoid this becoming a problem.Interesting.

If I never gave other countries investment rights, how do random countries like Spain or Portugal own some of my factories? Also, I did give investment rights to Russia and the UK early on, now I only own like 34% of my own GDP. Is this bad? Should I nationalize and piss them off? And once I nationalize everything, is there a way to sell off those to my own companies or financial districts in bulk or can I only set them to privatization and it'll happen gradually?
>>2491719>Also, I did give investment rights to Russia and the UK early on, now I only own like 34% of my own GDP. Is this badProbably. They probably filled your states with plantations.
>>2491719Conquering land doesn't transfer building ownership. Foreign investment sucks because the the only thing the AI builds is plantations. Giving company monopolies makes building purchases for them cheaper.
>>2491670in my game i took bulgaria and thrace, basically just extending to the aegean then made greece and serbia subjects and fed them the resti really dont like how you cant just call someone like greece into wars as an ally for a homeland, the ai never wants it, even when you're basically already mopping the floor with the turks and its just free land
>>2491720Won't those be unprofitable and shut down in the long run? Won't this work itself out as long as I don't subsidize them? >>2491722Ahh, that was it, it's all in land that I conquered. Thanks, anon. Also, is there any downside to giving your companies charters for monopoly in their respective industries? I thought there'd be some advantage in having mixed ownership (financial districts, companies, government, foreign investment, etc) but I don't think this is an advantage in this game.
>>2491825>>Won't those be unprofitable and shut down in the long runIt was a few patches ago since I gave Russia or Britain development rights. But back those plantations would stay barely profitable and hire up all peasants avaible. So you would end up with shortages in food, clothes, furniture and everything else that peasants produce and all your industries would become profitable due to competing with plantations for any potential workers.
>>2491825>is there any downside to giving your companies charters for monopolyincreases the price by 20%, so a monopoly on paper makes you spend more
>>2491825Monopoly causes prices on the good to rise as much as 20% based on how much of it is produced under monopoly, this is actually good for industries like vineyards as it makes them profitable even with a ton of excess supply. Don't monopolize anything you buy as the govt if you can help it
>>2491830>>2491862>>2491887Thanks, anons. I just picked the game up on discount after avoiding it for years. >>2492195Discussed something similar about this on a previous thread, i don't think it's just pdx games but most historical games in general when it comes to navy.Naval warfare historically has been a very winners take all kind of game which makes it more difficult to implement any sort of interactively entertaining naval strategic aspect. Not saying it can't be done or isn't possible, but just that it's hard to make naval gameplay not just building more ships until you win. The total war series being a bit better maybe since you can actually fight naval battles, but it's more difficult in any sort of grand strategy game. In addition to a navy usually taking up a lot of resources which would usually go to better things with lower risk.

I used the failure to exile the shogun and get his more agreeable son into place.
>>2491522It's not worth it. You can't get the PB strong enough in time, so you have to build farms/forts. just fail it while leaving a leader you don't care about in government.
>>2492259>Naval warfare historically has been a very winners take all kind of gameI feel like this is a gross oversimplification that you could say about land warfare if everyone had a ledger they could open that detailed everyone's army everywhere in the world right down to the cooks and their mobilisation impact. But then we don't get actual Victorian wars in Victoria 3 (or II), so it's a bit of a moot point to talk about limited engagements, strategic warfare, seasonal warfare, and how the British "fucked" China (destroyed some coastal forts and the central palace) without going into a total war that killed a million Brits and Sepoys.
When will they add proper war management automization like hoi4 has.
>>2492259I think the issue is that paradox games are too wide in scope and take too long to allow such fail states as "losing your overseas empire because you built too few ships".Their only games that does something like that are HOI and those games spans 20 years.

>>2495431Journal Entry. Do you play the game?
Tbh I don't know how you can have a game based around economics and military system that doesn't have a proper stockpile systems nor a true distance modifier for trade. That's why you end up with retarded shit like either everyone can sustain massive armies overseas or almost no one can. With a stockpile system player could amass stockpiles in certain regions where they could then sustain a campaign for the duration of such a stockpile. You know, keeping in line with history and allowing targeted expansion, like France building up supply in north African ports before going to war so its able to supply its larger force for the duration of the war without having a massive navy and requiring large amount of supplies. Likewise stockpiles could buffer the demand and supply spikes when switching production. The fact factories can only produce one thing at a time, or two things in deterministic proportions, is another sin. Food factories should modulate production in terms of profitability, for example. It feels like employers in this game run job programs, not chasing profits. The more I played the game the more I realized how bare bones it is. People complain that playing every country feels the same but the game is built from the ground up mechanically in a way where there's really one optimal way to play. Its an illusion of a market and an extremely poor representation of it.
>>2495458these will either come in dlc's or not at all.
>>2495467Perhaps but at this point the game is years old and is still in a very sorry state and barebones. Don't get me started on the military system, I like the idea in theory, but the implementation is piss poor. I do not get to control units but at the same time I have to constantly baby them anyway. I don't know which microing is worse but its a close race.
>>2495481>I do not get to control units but at the same time I have to constantly baby them anywayvic 3 in a nutshell. A cookie clicker that tries its very hardest not to be, thus making all aspects of the actual game, clicking cookies, unnecessarily horrid. The simple fact that there's not a natively built-in automizer for production methods and so on per state for each building type, making it so you yourself either have to painstakingly micro each fucking building in each fucking state or just say fuck it and enable/disable production method for all buildings in all states essentially says enough about it.I wish they just accepted what this game really is and just mastered that instead of trying to be something it very clearly just isn't.
>>2495483Honestly the entire system is visually confusing and is not inline aesthetically with the victorian era. Units are represented by small blocks with numbers on them that appear to go to random places and move erratically. Sometimes I can't even tell if a particular 'stack' is at the front or HQ or whatever. I dunno its just feels off at the base level and doesn't feel like we have things like regiments, divisions, corps, etc or the fact we're commanding armies that fight in the traditional 19th century way. It's all just a blob of randomness churning in the background with a green or red number attached to it.

Just play a Chinese/Indian/American releasable, or something like Argentina/Chile if you want an agricultural economy that can actually somewhat scale.
>>2496440It's still not gonna be an agrarian empire because there's not enough arable land for a country. And capitalists still make factories under agrarianism.

Agriculture sucks because:1) Subsistence farms already produce an excess of food2) Consumer goods demand is easily satisfied and cannot form the basis of an economyThe game only has one way to develop an economy, and that's through construction goods.

You can complain about v3 being a trivial game but if you're a vicky2-head it's just embarrassing.
its actually embarrassing how victoria 2 is still superior to victoria 3superior aestheticallysuperior in gameplaysuperior in designat least ck3 is finally managing to eclipse ck2, it's just sad how v3 will never be better than v2
let it go unc vic2 is 20 years old at this point
I unironically think all Paradox games except Vicky 3 suck.
>let it goi have, you were the one who brought up victoria 2v3 tards are so mindbroken by it they send all day seething about it and then when they're called on it they act like they never cared in the first place
It's fine if you think the game you played when you were 12 is the best game ever.
just because you were 12 in 2020 doesn't mean everyone was, bro
I'll do an argumentum ad populum and say the gane people actually play is better.
because mass appeal is always the sole arbiter of quality
fortnite is better than both victoria 2 and 3 put together, because it has more players
>>2496844Bro you have modern remakes of 20 year old games that are worse than the originals. Game quality over time is not linear.
>>2496858EU5 is basically a spiritual successor to Victoria 2, and it's much worse than it in every way.
Fortnite, the well known grand strategy victorian era game.
fps are better than grand strategy games because they have more playersyou can cry about it all you want but the thing more people play is always of higher quality than the thing that less people play
genuinely don't know if you're just disingenuous or a complete retard on the chance that you are just a retard you should be aware of the following factors:>most victoria 2 acquisitions were not on steam, so steam playcounts are not an accurate metric of which is more played>victoria 2 finished active development more than a decade ago, while victoria 3 is still shitting out slop, so it's unfair to compare dead and new>there was a mass influx of casuals as paradox started dumbing down their games and making them more about memes than simulating history, with titles like eu4, ck3, and especially hoi4so in shortvictoria 2 was more popularand if it wasn't you can't prove thatand if you can then it's because of people i dislike so it doesn't countsorry bro, liqqy keeps the crown, maybe next year?
>>most victoria 2 acquisitions were not on steam, so steam playcounts are not an accurate metric of which is more playeddon't think there are thousands of people bothering with a physical copy of victoria 2
you can, and indeed could back in the jurassic period when victoria 2 was released, buy games on the internet and they send the files to your computer, it's really quite something
Yeah, the latter DLCs of Victoria 2 was released through steam. So the people who played victoria 2 beyond the bare basics got it sent to them via Steam.
>playing with yellow prussiaWhat were the Swedes thinking?

>Yeah, the latter DLCs of Victoria 2 was released through steam. So the people who played victoria 2 beyond the bare basics got it sent to them via Steam.i really don't see what you're having so much difficulty understanding herevictoria 2 and all DLC were released on many online platforms, gamersgate, GOG, and yes, steamsteam's absolute monopoly on the notion of an online game store didn't exist in 2010NOW if you want a game you're almost certain to use steambut back then more people used other platforms, ergo the steam playercount isn't an accurate measure of the playcountthis is before we even add in things like piracy, which with a non-drm game means you would never even think about interacting with steamare you unironically a zoomer who has never known a world before steam
Victoria II: Heart of Darkness was only purchasable through steam, larper.
i KNOW that isnt the case because I bought it from gamersgatehttps://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/where-to-buy-victoria-ii-heart-of-darkness.682960/page-4#post-16696871

>>2496936The imperial fiat system can probably be ignored since the ones shown in the dev diary will probably be achieved by a russia player anyways. The revolution stuff will probably be the real pain in the ass
The real problem for the idea that victoria 2 is secretly popular is that you may at any hour find hundreds of seeders even for pirating the older versions of Vic3 but will struggle to find even one for vic2.
Wish they would rework infrastructure so you don't have to subsidize railways in states that would starve to death without them.

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/open-beta-update-4-is-now-live-not-for-problem-reports.1943145/>What is it: In wars lasting over 2 years, war goals that stay uncontested for 12 months are dropped. AI countries now capitulate when clearly defeated, and wars should no longer drag on forever at 0% war support. This sounds good. >What is it: Infamy was rebalanced: large, rich states and reunification wars cost less, claims and Psychology technologies reduce it further, and a new game rule scales it up or down. This too.
>>2497122Not to say anything regarding her policies but historically railroads were very profitable while in this game they just are not.
>>2497130No they weren't, almost everywhere the railroad boom created proprietary networks that were not interoperable and the companies collapsed on their debt obligations and got bought by the state which then ruthlessly standardized the tracks and locomotives and created time tables for departures and arrivals - for army mobilisation. Rail is the litmus test for ancaps and liberals, nearly all successful rail corporations are state owned.
>>2497127>We are planning a bonus dev diary sometime next week which will summarize all the important 1.14 changes as they will land in 1.15, and where we will also show off a feature that happened as a result of 1.14 experimentation but which also did not get done in time for the final open beta: Multiple world market hubs per market areaNice.
>>2497127This one is huge too:>What is it: Armies can be stationed in your subjects' states. >>2497346That works but is a bandaid solution. The fundamental issue is that infrastructure and transportation are separate values, but only one of them has a price, creating a mismatch. I think it's just the developers' commie values showing through, as they think it's impossible for the private sector to build infrastructure.
>>2497362car consumption leads to increased infrastructure so I would say they simulate the private sector building infrastructure.
>>2497368Bro READ. Infrastructure =/= transportation. The two are related but only one is priced. Satisfying infrastructure needs is impossible without state intervention.
>>2497370Yeah and automobile consumption adds infrastructure to a state.
>>2497375So do railways. That means you don't need to subsidize them, right?
>>2497362>I think it's just the developers' commie values showing throughIt is.I can't remember if cars provided infrastructure on release. If you actually played long enough for everyone to get rich (this was back when wages increased with profits), cars would replace the generic transportation consumer good and your infrastructure would collapse, and I think trains were even less profitable at the time or at least redditors couldn't figure out why they weren't. You can replicate this on the current or a recent build if you play a very small nation and make everyone a CEO of an international company.I assume the point was to prevent players from spamming out factories back when you could just build like a commie dictatorship from day 1, but that has since changed and to be honest I don't think it ever mattered especially for how broken the game was on release that Jan Mayen could become the workshop of the world.I'd take infrastructure out of the game at this point or ask if it could be integrated into urbanisation, which is another confusing and sort of useless mechanic.
>>2497376 It means it is possible for private companies to build infrastructure.
>>2497379That's why you play your games without railway subsidies, rights?

Prostitution is sex work and a part of the legalise weed question.Almost all questions about militarism and internationalism are in the post-nation (I love the EU/UN/USSR/world government!) paradigm and the writer has a poor grasp of English, as vital means existential and is not good language to ask if you think you should go to war on pain of national suicide. There's a weird choice between heckin' science (polluting industrialist musk mars coloniser) and heckin' science (utopian cyborg elf greta climate scientist).I was matched with Poland, probably because, as an atheist, I practically said religion = culture = nation and have the counterculture marriage should only be for the religious belief, oh and my lack of allyship. My secondary match was Ukraine because I have strong democratic values that say western democracies aren't democratic enough... I'll let you realise the problem. My opposites were the same as yours, but at a 50% match. >>2498167>if you think you should go to war on pain of national suicide.By this I mean one question said should you be prepared to go to war for vital national interest... which would mean access to petrol, fertiliser, food, w a t e r, etc. No-one should say no. This is obviously not the intent of the question.
>>2498167>This is just a 2020s redditor's questionnaireyeah, most political "tests" are just people setting up their own questionaires with such a strong and obvious bias that it's just a "good" versus "bad" test. >>2498342That's been changed, IGs will only select ideologies from movements influencing them and exiling an IG leader just means one of the other politicians in that IG will take their place. The only way you get wacky ideologies is through events

>>2498387That happens pretty often if you have successful wars, they also have the same ideology selection as their parent IG. I don't think agitator turned into generals can be politicians, however.

I have installed a mod that increase subsistence farm capacity x5. And my current run is unusually relax. As UK, my loyalists reached millions even in 1860's, surpassing radicals. Never had radical issue. Even EIC was extremely stable. Normally it would burn with constant rebellions by now. Seems half of my issues with the game has been about not enough space in subsistence farms... Now if i could find a mod that both increase subsistence capacity and decrease subsistence production, i would be set. Grain prices are extremely depressed right now in my game.

>>2498559promises are there to be broken
>>2498679If i think some game mechanic or lack of it creates unnecessary tedium which i believe is not intentional, i will install mods to make it easier. I see no problem with it.Also i wasn't gloatposting or anything. I just wanted to draw attention about something about subsistence farms and agriculture in general are broken. If you play as UK, you will notice you will end up with an extremely huge number of unemployed radicals in India rebelling every 5 years and you have no way to fix this problem other than killing rebels. Qing for example is filled with unemployed pops because their sub.farms have no space to house their population. Something about this is not working properly.
>>2498813It's not broken, it's working as designed, even though it's arguably overtuned. It's to represent the historical fact that the intensification of commercial agriculture resulted in tenants being kicked off the land and forced to try to seek work in industrial cities. You're supposed to get unemployment, unemployment was a real thing. In fact, it's too easy to get rid of unemployment. I've played India and got rid of it before the 20th century.
>>2498794I just tried ethiopia and it was probably my worst experience so far.Just get to wait 30 years gor industry teach I can't use since east africa is void of iron, sulphur and coal.
>>2498858That isn't historical fact. That's commie fiction the devs bought into. The entire game suffers because of it.
>>2498858You are right about intensification of agriculture resulted in unemployment which drove people to cities. But here is the problem: Unemployment happens with the start of the game. I would have no issues if i got the unemployment after i built all the farms and plantations and implemented all sorts of labor saving pm's such as threahing machines or tractors but that's not the case. Countries have massive unemployment at the start of the game because people are overfilling from subsistence farms. Yes, you as the player can deal with the unemployment of your nation easily with rapid industrialisation but how about your puppets? You can solve unemployment of India playing as India with some good gameplay but how you gonna solve it while playing as UK? As imperialist nations, we are expected to focus industries in our heartland while making our colonies resource or agriculture focused. But India or China doesn't have enough resources to employ these excess people and building farms actually worsens the situation. All agricultural buildings (inclueing subsistence ones) should employ like 20-30k people AND THEN labor savings should free up (make people go unemployed) people much harder (like cutting 30k employment to 5-3k by the latest labor saving pm's.Also there's the issue of subsistence farms produce too much stuff. Peasants already consume like only %10 of their needs from market so there is no reason to have subsistence farms flood the market this much. Their output should be reduced so if we start to flood the cities with workers, we should worry about our food balance and pursue fertilizer upgrades or import grain. What do you think?

How do I make the game tell me when a commander leaves a battalion/fleet?
>>2499164you can change the notification type of the "x has retired" from a toast to a popup message+pause but AFAIK you can't limit it to generals/admirals so it'll pop for any national figure
>>2488120If anyone makes a guide it should include how super vital state hospitals are and that religious hospitals are a trap.
>>2499353The real trap is landed voting if you're a monarchy, even without any boosts to landowner power they will have enough clout to be a nuisance and trying to go anything else will cause a revolution. Same goes for peasant proprietorship/homesteading with census suffrage, you'll be stuck with rural folk for the rest of your existence
>>2499354Early universal suffregate as any unciv will destroy you
>>2499354At least radicals and liberals may move you off landed voting and theress the 48's cheat evdnt to get census if you play in europe. It's all but impossible to get state hospitals from religious till you completely depeasant and empower workers.
>>2499353It bears pointing out that the big deal wiith public hospitals isn't the slight decrease in mortality but in polution impact.
>>2498858>It's to represent the historical fact that the intensification of commercial agriculture resulted in tenants being kicked off the land and forced to try to seek work in industrial cities.Shouldn't emigration be a big deal then? Like the whole idea that New Zealand was where all the Scottish tenants ran off to farm their own sheep with blackjack and hookers and how they were so much better at it than Scottish landowners that Britain started to import lamb after you could freeze it on ships, and everyone ignored that NZ had over twice the grassland as Scotland with a warmer climate and no-one to feed nor any factories to work in instead so always had surplus worthless agricultural goods?
What's the best way to do the "Mission to the West"? From trying out multiple times there seems to be no logit to this, somewhere between +5 % and +50 % research modidifer.
>>2499463No. Clearly unemployed peasants should stay in place and cause endless revolutions.
Reminder. If you're playing the beta and unless you've modded this you need to start as one of the spains and surrender before switching to the country you want to play as within two years or the war goal will tick out and spain will be broken for the rest of the game.
>>2499507Ok, with the single minded determination of an autist i ran this shit about 60 times and took notes. Just started the mission with and always picking the same option with the not so random events. The biggest issue i think is that Mexico owns California, so the mission visits Mexico instead of the US, this is fixable by cheating California into US hands or using a mod that fixes the mission itself, it's outdated but still works. Other than that i really don't see any logic to this, other than that Per Capita Taxation is incredibly rare to roll.

>>2500694It's a 25% offense penalty on the artillery so shrapnel artillery is probably worth using but anything less isn't. Marines also have the benefit of being able to exist in a fleet already so if you're going for speed then it might be better to just have marines since that artillery army will be slow as shit

>>2500622>>2500626>>2500675>>2500831don't believe anything about something "not being in the timeframe" or not, they just wanna make content they like and agree with. Historically there were no marxist revolutions that succeeded anywhere at any time in the 19th century; the only exception being the paris commune was a one of because of the war and easily crushed. Even the bolshevik "revolution" (it was more of a coup) in 1917 by lenin was also very historically unlikely, russia would've much more probably simply become either some sort of weimar-lite republic or just developed into some form of autocracy.Even then, Capital was only released in the late 60's and if you wanna say that's relevant but not anything after since it's "too late in the game" would eliminate most if not nearly all anarchist content. If we all stop playing stupid we can clearly see that historical developments made many if not most of these historically relevant for the game either way and semantically arguing on technicalities and timeframes will only open up for contradictions and obvious preferential treatment. Please, can people stop pretending to not understand? One can't say that everything before 1900 and everyone to the right of Lenin was fascist, then turn around and say 'fascism did not exist and had absolutely zero historical development before the specific moment of the march on Rome when it simply materialized from thin air to function as the defenders of late stage capitalism thus being too late in the game to get content'.

>>2500861>no one says this, right?Just go on xitter and you'll find them. Some do it completely seriously with no irony nor any actual thought, the classical everything i don't like is literally Hitler; but there's also a lot of leftists, usually browns, who know exactly what they're saying and are simply going by the Alinsky playbook of lying and using underhanded tactics. The best and most perfect example i have of this is a "debate" between the distributist, some nrx guy, and some brown communist about if kirk was a fascist, where the sandnigger constantly just sat around playing word-games, pinning down on semantics, motte and baily-ing almost everything and constantly obfuscating and pretending not to understand (also a lot of actually just not understanding things and having no knowledge of actual history). I'd understand why you wouldn't watch it especially if you respect your own time, but it really is the absolutely best example of leftist dishonesty and snake-like sliminess i have seen to date. It's essentially an intellectual trying to have a good faith and honest discussion about what exactly america is, what it has been and what it will be and a sandnigger who just wants to pretend he doesn't want to kill him.https://youtu.be/2ULA7N5tX6w>>2500861>fascism grew out of a weird sect of patriotic socialists, and then evolved ideologically. i thought everyone knew thatEh, i get what you're saying, but I personally wouldn't say just fascism specifically did so, i'd say third positionism as an ideological group of leftist/corporatist economic policy with rightist cultural/national policies grew out of non-marxist socialism of the enlightenment secularism. Although any good faith view of National Socialism, Fascism, Integralism, Falangism, etc. will conclude with their similarities, they're still separate ideologies with their own developed histories. We also didn't see any 3P societies develope compared to western liberalism and eastern communist ones.
>>2500871>Just go on xitter and you'll find them. Damn. It's profoundly un-Marxist to claim "fascism was always with us". Fascism (by which I'm being a little sloppy and including basically all 3P ideologies in) evolved as a very particular coalition in opposition to communism; much like liberalism, it is a form capitalism takes under particular material conditions. In this case, fascism is, as both Trotsky (a communist) and Vonsiatsky (a fascist) as well as Mises (a libertarian) recognized: a temporary cross class coalition to stop communism. >Eh, i get what you're saying, but I personally wouldn't say just fascism specifically did so, i'd say third positionism as an ideological group of leftist/corporatist economic policy with rightist cultural/national policies grew out of non-marxist socialism of the enlightenment secularism. We also didn't see any 3P societies develope compared to western liberalism and eastern communist ones. That's an interesting point, that it evolved from pre-Marxist utopian socialists. Hadn't considered that but I can see the similarities with Ricardo. It's also worth mentioning quite a few of the earliest fascists were not rightist culturally; look at Fiume and their gay sex, hard drugs, and piracy while also being fervent Italian nationalists who would beat the crap out of anyone who insulted Italy. Similarly, the Falangists held that all Spaniards, be they Castillian or Catalan or Basque, had a common destiny and future in a reborn Spanish superpower.

>>2500940sadly they kinda do, but less so since i'm banned either way.I just wanna know, what exactly makes xitter retards so much more retarded and dishonest than any other online demographic i can think of? Plebbit leftists, for all their faults, are at least able to contend an argument or a point and structure their theories with some amount of actual sources or thought out logic; xitter retards will literally just niggerloop forever. They're also a thousand times more smug and confidently wrong about everything i can't stand them. What is it that makes them this insufferable? Are they just genetically predisposed to acting like that? do they have absolutely nothing else going on for in their life than sitting on xitter dishonestly, not even really rage baiting as they're terrible at it since i know what they say is genuine, arguing all day? It's not even really arguing since every time i've actually gone more deeply into a subject or anything at all they just disappear to posting and replying to goyish party politics again and how "le dumb and le closed minded" their chosen adversary is.I know i'm a goyish subhuman for letting these "people" occupy even parts of my mind, but i just can't mentally fathom such a pitiful and slavish existence. Especially the older they get, some incel or femcel in their teens or early twenties wasting time online is one thing, grown up millenials and fucking gen-x'ers wasting time to act like a teenage girl on the internet is just something i can not understand. Nigger, you're supposed to have a wife/husband and two kids to drop off at kindergarten, why are you angrily retweeting about ukraine or fascism when you can't even define what a ukrainian or fascist is? When you can't even name a single theorist, ideologue, political work Also, why are so many gen-x'ers especially like this? What specifically is it that makes them seemingly extra retarded?
