Yes and no, this is the basis for leftist vanguardism; with the goal of guiding the people into a preferred democracy. Remember, to leftists liberal-democratic parliamentarism, by their own words, isn't really anything more than a tool to be used. As you see a lot of the time, when leftist and liberal parties get votes it's a victory for democracy, when right wing parties get votes it's a dark day for democracy and we're heading into tyranny. Putin and Xi are dictators, but cancelling elections in Romania and possibly banning the largest party in Germany are simple necessary to defend liberal-democracy and so on and so forth.

I don't think they're actually brave enough to make the case against liberal democracy, but they're willing to represent liberal-democracy as a stepping stone to socialism.

Not going to pretend it still didn't have a bunch of problems but I found 1.12 to be pretty fun to play. But ever since the great wave the game has been a mess with breaking things that used to work and adding shit that actively makes things worse.
