I’m brave enough to risk it for the team*unzips*
That's kinda hot tbqh

>>104034636fuckin no clue
>>104034210She just twisted the plug inside of the socket. This happened because she lacked strength and not because she had too much.
>>104034717thanks for the info, kiara
>>104034911Why would you ever do that? Even in the absurd scenario you're shimmying it out, that seems like a bad way to go about it.
>>104034420Type B is the one true correct way
>>104034420Safer too because the current is grounded to prevet electrocution.two pronged ones are way more dangerous because they are just two live wires.
>>104034420Type F is based
>>104034420Type B has seen some shit.Type K has seen some shit and likes it.
>>104034420The fact this shit hasn't been standardised boggles my mind.
>>104034420Look at all these horrors, Type G is the only acceptable one but Type K is kinda cute so it wins.

>>104035308>Type IHideous.
>>104035362truebut still the best
>>104035101It looks like she grabbed the transformer with her palm on the end opposite to the plug which is totally fine if the socket isn't overly tough. The mistakes was not moving her palm up when she noticed that the socket was really stiff, but she didn't and kept pushing, slipped and turned the transformer into a lever that snapped the other pin.
>>104034210she probably uses those shitty sockets that are baby proof, if you plug something in not at the exact right angle it will block itself and then you try harder and break the pins
>>104035308bro your toilets literally flush the wrong way
>>104035222It is standardized. There's just 15 standards. The idiocy is that there's really just 4 flavours and everything else is pointless faffery.>110 V 60 Hz grounded>110 V 60 Hz no ground>240 V 50 Hz grounded>240 v 50 Hz no ground4 plugs (with really two prong styles) could handle all of this. No I don't care that your welder has a twist lock and your dryer is 4 lead, they're not the problem.
>>104034484F fucking sucks when it's new, the baby safety block doesn't open if the plug angle is off by a hair
>>104034210That has literally not happened a single time in my entire life. She must be fucking retarded

>>104035648Why is the US always sticking with the worst option? Lmao
>>104034338This. News at 9. Next time buy proper extensions and don't apply brute force to a shitty plug. unless it's a butt plug
>>104035869America is objectively superior, Europe has the house fire standard
>>104035819Have you tried not being a baby?
>>104035885No, electrical fires would be more likely in the US because of higher currents and higher resistance, lol. You could say that you'd be more likely to die if you touched a live wire in Europe but why would you do that?
I'm not really sure what I'm looking at in her image but the worst thing I've had happen with my electric sockets was the wires getting loose (wear and tear) and the socket plate coming off.I hope whatever she's trying to plug in isn't important...but thats why I like uninterruptable power sources. You plug them in once and then you just fidget with the battery plugs.
>>104035175Anon, the ground is inside the socket.
>>104035498Isn't that a myth? The moon tho, it's upside down from our perspective.
>>104034420>type a thing america>type b thing japan
>>104036161weird assupside down motherfuckers
Socket extensions can be really tight sometimes and need force and breaking in, I'm not kidding. Had this issue with my electric toothbrush. Need to force it in. She's been stupid about it and was probably twisting it around.
>>104035190>>104034636>>104034484schuko chads
>>104034592Problem with G is that the plugs themselves are so bulky.

>>104034420Schuko or death, everything else can go
>>104036439I stuck a piece of wire in a outlet just to see how hot it would get.I was holding on to the insulation and it sparked once when live and neutral touched and killed the breaker.I didn't do that again.

>>104034232Zip your dick back up you fucking brute.
>>104040717>>overloading trips the plug not the breakerwait reallyI kneel, you G-chads have the best one based on just that
>>104036539One time I pulled out a charger at work, but only the casing was left with the plug and some wire sticking out of the wall. I stupidly tried to put the case back on and the metal inside the casing completed the circut and blew the fuse, made the socket blacken, and I could smell the smoke from the little explosion. Learned a really valuable lesson of not being retarded with electonics after that

It's also xbox huge and the right angle is your only option, making cable management harder than it needs to be.

I dont get it
>>104034420She's using europlug, which is meant to be compatible with C, D, E, F, J, K, L, M, N and O. It has no ground, and it's not meant to handle high current devices, but it's ideal for shit like phone chargers
>>104034210the women beyond the rhine and danbue are savages
>>104034442>Turdworlder>Use type F because most of the electrical grid was built in the 30s with help from the nazis>Never had any issues with sockets besides ground leads bendingDo you guys have specific suppliers that make shit sockets or something?
>>104044715>TurdworlderWhat third world country are you living in that had electrical systems built by Nazis?
>>104045004Uruguay. Not exactly built by them, but they did sell us a bunch of equipment and help install it (When WW2 got worse, they pulled out and the rest of the grid was finished by GE). Went on a power plant tour a few years back and they were displaying an industrial lightbulb they never got around to using, the filament was even shaped like a swastika lmao
>>104045238Oh fair enough, had no idea.>filament was even shaped like a swastikakek
This bitch is finally out of Japan? Thank god.
>>104045524Nah, it's okay, it's not something people think regularly about. But yeah, pretty much every country in the world got help from America, Germany and/or the UK to build their power grid, and some of that time, the nazi party was in power
>>104040927G type plugs have their own fuse and have an earth line as standard. The UK really put a lot of thought and effort into the design
>>104042535You sent me down a rabbit hole of construction methods, reasons, firefighting techniques, and training.
>>104043965She’ll blood eagle you just by clawing at your back.

>>104036013Those prongs are supposed to be straight.
>>104034420>Meanwhile the retard of the family, Type L
>>104048806It's still a three pronged plug, which I think is better than any of the two prong plugs despite how much anons want to argue that type F is safe. I just don't trust it.
>>104034210>>104034442Socket extensions being tighter than wall sockets make sense, there would be doubly chance of accidental unplugging and/or sparks and fire if the appliance is pulling huge currents.
>>104049226I remember going to a cousin's house for some DIY she asked me to do and I came across five extension leads all chained together. The average person is not willing to learn about basic safety or care. They just want ease of use.

>>104048261you're welcomethe only neat house construction method in murica is ICF
>>104036161yesn't some do but that's because they are manufactured that way which might have been the cause of the whole thing.
>>104034420>Type C>Type EBut they're the same?
>>104034420>Type H>ToT
>>104051258Type E is grounded (sensibly) and Type C isn't (madness)
>>104035491>>104035819Judging by her latest VOD, it's clear she has been reading this thread.
>>104051258Flaw in the graphic, that little peg is E's ground plug, which would not be there since C is ungrounded. Technically you're not even meant to manufacture type C sockets, only plugs, since it's meant to be compatible with multiple sockets (At the expense of a ground leadhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europlug>>104052234The standard itself says it should only be used on devices that draw less than 2.5A and are properly insulated, no ground lead on those isn't really an issue
>>104034420Type J is obviously the best, all of the good features and also the most compact. It was even supposed to be the universal plug to unite all plugs. It's partially compatible with C/E/F/K/N, and you can fit three plugs in a single outlet.
This thread is very interesting for entirely non-vtuber reasons
>>104055010Those losers over at holotower don’t know what they’re missing!
>>104052538You know full well that just because it's supposed to do that doesn't mean people are going to stick to that usage
>>104056599Sure, but not only does the standard say that, it's what's done in practice. You never really see Europlug outside power bricks, phone chargers, clocks and lamps. Granted, some companies do ignore parts of it, like>Don't sell europlug sockets (Should be used on local socket)>Don't sell europlug plugs >Plug should leave the device through a cable (i.e. don't do that thing where the power supply is a box protruding from the plug)But they tend to respect power draw and insulation requirements. The standard theoretically allows for up to 600W devices, but I've only seen it on shit using 200W or less
