Have your oshi's numbers seemed to fall off recently? It may not be her fault. 3views and 2views unite to get to the bottom of what is happening with Youtube.

Oh no nobody is watching Linus' cuck tips anymore reddit.
>>
>>104264151
>every channel is complaining that youtube fucked something up and their numbers suddenly dropped in the past couple weeks
Yes we know
>youtube hasn't done anything to fix it
Don't hold your breath lol
>>
>>104264151
Youtube's recommendations have been really weird lately. I've been getting recommended 2-3 year old streams rather than anything live.
>>
>all my girl's numbers are unchanged or improved recently
explain that
>>
>>104264478
They are either too small for you to notice a drop (but easier to be happy when their viewership improve even if it’s just within error margin) or they are botted.
Who are they?
>>
>>104264151
who uh
cares
>>
The girls I watch are unaffected. They aren't trying to turn vtubing into a job so I don't think they care as long as they have people to talk with.
>>
>>104264478
You're watching NijiEN, who are known to be botted
>>
>>104264863
>They aren't trying to turn vtubing into a job
Good for them but chuubas not even trying for success annoys me. Why would I spend my time on someone only half invested in vtubing?
>>
>>104264151
At this point I don't think any of Youtube's recent changes is intentional, nor do they know how to make things go back to how they were. It's impressive how fucking incompetent a company of that size can be.
>>
>>104264151
>slaves crying about their master's ungenerosity
many such cases
>>
I quit YouTube premium after having it for almost a year and the amount of ads is unbearable. I don't watch YouTube on mobile anymore, only on PC with adblock.

They also put ads before live streams like twitch.
>>
>>104264151
Yeah the push for member's content on the home page has been extremely obnoxious.

what does linus coping about his shill channel not getting any more views have to do with the CCV problem?
>>
>>104264151
no, her numbers are fine, might even be slightly higher
she's just an honest chuuba, no bots
>>
>>104264424
At one point i was getting recommend videos with less than 10 views. Once i got recommend some families vacation video and all the comments were just random users going "why is this being recommend to me?"
>>
>>104264151
I mean, no shit. Does anyone actually believe that any of these sites are really capable of pushing out updates without them being riddled with all kinds of bugs and fucking up on rollout? You gotta give this kinda stuff at least 2 or 3 months to know the real results.
>>

Gee I dunno anon

I guess it's working if you clicked the video

linus when will 50 series cards get cheaper
>>

the vtubers I watch were unaffected
the members only thing I did observe in a couple of (non-vtuber) channels I watch: townsends and tasting history, but that's been a thing I've noticed several months ago
is it hard to believe that people are just tired of watching linus making less tech tip videos?
all of these popular channels like LTT, babish, etc. all switched to shill content and are currently suffering from lower viewership while some other channels vtuber or otherwise don't really have these issues
>>
>>104266047
tl;dr
vtuber in OP and linus are both coping
>>
>>104265075
Theyre more consistent than most of the holoEN girls if that's what you're referring to. To them it's more of an outlet because they're borderline hikkis other than their job, if applicable. For some vtubing pays the bills but it's still something they do because they enjoy it rather than because it means money.
>>
>>104266047
>the vtubers I watch were unaffected
because your vtubers are botted, nijisister

my oshi doesn't stream on a website with magic numbers that change daily depending on some outsourced gig worker's mood
>>
>>104266047
LTT recently went over their internal numbers on their weekly podcast thing. What you said would cause a gradual drop in viewership, not a sudden 20-30% drop one weekly to another. They also found out that revenue coming in was mostly unchanged and the like/revenue per viewer ratio has gone way up. They suspect youtube is culling "idle viewers". So people who fell asleep with autoplay on, second monitor content, ad block users and bots.
>>
>>104266047
>people keep talking about how the vtubers they watch were unaffected but never about who they are or where they're from
>>
>>104264478
Pebble, IRyStocrat, Deadbeat, or KFP?
botted.
>>
>>104265983
Correct. The system is technically working as intended. Both creators and viewers are confused because it's not working for either of THEM.
>>
>>104267863
There aren't that many people retarded enough to invite the /vt/ monkeys to their oshi's chat.

The membership suggestion change is real. I noticed that I get a lot more memberships showing up in my feed from vtubers i watch but am not a member of.
YT knows who has memberships and who is superchatting, they are just trying to bait users into memberships.
Also noticed the YT featured recently.

>3views and 2views unite to get to the bottom of what is happening with Youtube
What's your point, ESL dumb fuck? It's happening to everyone across the board.
>>
>>104264478
Give names and I'll happily do that.
>>
>>104264478
If anyone is doing as well as they were or better, they're botted. If they're doing worse and are a Holo, youtube is fucking them over.
Funny enough, it just so happens that /#/fags favorites are down and the talents they don't like are up.
>>
>>104268878
The only people that are seemingly unaffected are literally just NijiENs, so kind of already outing yourself there.

>>
>>104269574
I always figured the Japs had such big noombers because youtube had already been cutting out people with adblock or second monitor/non-active viewers. A good chunk of Japs don't really use a home computer to watch, and an even smaller number use stuff like adblockers, so I figured more of them counted. If EN's viewership really is that bad comparatively, that's fucking terrible.

Guess not. Nothing else really explains a drop in viewership, but not revenue.
>>
Can you bot YouTube like they did on twitch? After twitch showed how many bots where operating on the site did the advertiser's go to other sites and bring up concerns about bots there as well so sites like YouTube are going after bots now and we are seeing real viewer numbers.

And don't get me started with the search results.

Even Rev agrees.
While his views have decreased like everyone else, his ad revenue has increased.

Youtube guy A: How do we serve as many ads as we already do but pay creators less?
Youtube guy B: Have we tried lying yet?
>>
>>104264151
If people are subscribed they’ll see his latest video, if they aren’t then it was always a fifty fifty so I don’t see the problem here
>>
>>104264151
>YouTube makes most of its money based on how many viewers are watching adds
>Purposefully cripple your own viewer counts, causing talent to leave and ad revenue to dry up
Why are 70 year old business executives like this?
>>
>>104264151
Isn't that guy a channel with over a million subs? Wtf he is complaining about, if those millions don't watch your videos then that's not an algorithm issue.
>>
>>104264424
I think the algorithm is more likely to recommend you 1) videos you’ve already watched before, even if those videos are years old and 2) videos from the creators you like that already have lots of views, which are typically videos from years ago and 3) videos that have a high level of engagement, regardless of the views, which is why members content gets recommended; members are more likely to comment live, engage with other commentors, and watch the video all the way through.

The rest of the videos I get recommended are 0-1view shitters who the algorithm is trying to boost, I guess. I don’t know why that one happens.
>>
>>104274054
If you have restricted mode on, you won't see many videos even if you're subbed. They don't show up even if you look for them.
>>
>>104274621
>I don’t know why that one happens.
Because it's set to behave that way. It's known that people want something new every once in a while. By interacting with some video, it puts you in a group and it pulls data from that group to recommend you stuff sometimes. The group has no name and doesn't have an accurate definition or tags, it's heavily dependent on the other people watching the same stuff as you. It's also why your recs can get astronomically fucked if you watch a clip.
>>
>>104264151
wtf
>>
>>104267852
>viewbots culled
>revenue unaffected
and that's a good thing right?
the fuck is linus whining about then
